You probably need to go back and read what they actually said. I don't remember any guarantees in that statement.

Lol, Personally couldn't give a fig what you think. Just think it's funny how you're all getting so worked up over nothing. It's a game. I don't know why you need to be so abusive when someone has a different opinion to you. As you say, it's a public forum and I'm entitled to my opinion too.

And its the people who stay awake all night and take days off work for a video game that need to develop a sense of perspective!
-
The game won't change drastically with the update. Have you ever watched this game before on YouTube?
-
Why could you only pay it four times?
-
Lol, I think some people need to develop a sense of perspective.

Lol yeah. I remember playing Ark once and I was flying a pteranodon when the game crashed. Reloaded me in the air minus the pteranodon. It was a long fall!

I like the idea of server locked characters. This works pretty well in Ark, be interesting to see if it would work for dayz. I suppose there is always the danger you might end up with a character stuck in an empty server. The other idea for randomly spawning within an area close to your log out location is probably a simpler method though I don't know how simple it is in terms of coding. I could also imagine some funny respawns in strange places!

I'm not sure exactly how you expect them to fix it. Ghosting is always going to be an issue in dayz. The only solution is to have lockable safes on your base to keep gear in. It's also worth watching Deadly Slobs dayz survival series. He tracks down some barrels and finds some good hiding places for them. I personally don't think it's that big a deal. I just think it's funny that people scream out for more content and then when it arrives they moan about it. Everyone's a critic!

I think the beans means 'that sucks', at least, that's what I use it for. Or it could just be beans means heinz

Which part of game preview didn't you understand?
-
I like third person when I'm just running around, I like to see my dude! But I find fpp easier for looting and combat. I never really enjoyed third person games.
-
Ah OK, not sure what he was going on about then, possibly just struggling to find one.
-
Helpful comment, do what exactly. More of them, less of them, different colours??

My mate plays on pc and apparently they've removed vehicles. All vehicle parts are still in, but the car was removed because it was buggy. I'm assuming it must be a temporary thing while they bug fix.

Ah, I wondered if there were any major differences other than damage. I also found that the fire axe seems to wear out pretty quickly when used for chopping trees but I haven't done a methodical comparison against other axes.
-
I guess you're following the thread on that subject so you've probably seen already but it looks like they're going to keep them separate, so looks like good news.

Exciting times. Well done guys, didn't expect to see this drop till the new year.
-
Ah, I never quite got that far, mostly played solo
-
What did you prefer in game preview? I'll be honest, I dip in and out of ark over the years and it's always very different every time! It seems a bit laggier than it used to be but I'm on the ragnarok map now and apparently it's worse than other maps. (sorry for drifting off dayz topic)

Not true, games can be on preview longer than a year, Ark was at least two years.

Worlds Greatest DayZ Player OR ... ?

Ouch, that's rough! He definitely played a very long game there. -
We could use an update... How is anyone still playing?
DayzDayzFanboy replied to McPhorce's topic in Xbox
Well I can't get on every day as I work for a living but I'm on fairly often and it's still fresh for me. I'm not sure exactly what people expected the game to be like but the game as it currently stands is not really that different to the original. I look forward to vehicles and base building but for me the selling point of the game is the fact that there are no objectives and you make your own story. Human interaction has always been key in this game. Just go back and look at frankie or blackout videos or any other dayz YouTuber for that matter. Yes, new guns would be nice, but it doesn't alter the fundamental mechanics and dynamics of the game. Base building and vehicles will be cool too, we just have to be patient for it. But dayz has always been hours of roaming around countryside and towns looting up and then interspersed with random encounters with other players. How you interact with those players is what makes the game for you. Maybe if base building is a really big thing for you, try Ark:Survival Evolved. Persistent servers with a deep crafting and base building mechanic. But dayz as it stands is really the core game. All the extra stuff you're waiting for is just decoration. It's like me saying that CoD had lost its appeal because it doesn't have open world survival aspects to it. I think if you accept dayz for what it essentially is you'll enjoy it more. Or if not, then maybe it isn't the game for you. It happens, you buy a game with certain expectations of what it will be like and then it isn't. -
If your carrying too much just drop a couple of minor items to get your weight down. You don't need to drop much.

Strangest thing happened yesterday
