I drank from streams and swamps a few times last night and didn't get ill so not sure if it's working or if its just a chance of might make you ill. Basically I was so thirsty I didn't care. Lots of missing Wells now!

I wouldn't get too attached to anything yet while the game is in preview. I think the best approach is just use it as a practice run for learning what's needed and where to find things.

Water has been far too easy to find. Now you have to be careful about what and how you drink, using purification tablets etc. If you're dying of thirst it's probably because you're sprinting round like a headless chicken.

That's a pretty accurate description of how dayz had always been, so not entirely sure what you were expecting. Apparently, battlefield 1 is free on gold at the moment. You might enjoy that more.

I would agree with pilgrim on this one. I like the stuff they're adding but I was quite happy to wait until they had everything working properly rather than rushing it through to pacify what can only be described as a toxic and impatient mob. As for the update creating more meaningful encounters and less pvp... garbage. Nothing will alter that. Two hours into the new update I was shot dead in a field skinning a deer. No warning, no attempt at communication. I was trying to make this point elsewhere. It doesn't matter what you add to the game, it will still have the same ratio of people who either interact or kos. Lots of players have very short attention spans, I call them the MTV generation, and will very quickly get bored of their new toys and start complaining that their toys don't work properly and want new ones.

Got attacked by three zombies. Thought I'd killed them all and was searching the bodies when one started attacking me. Pretty cool. The zombies seem a bit more agile now though its a bit sketchy in cities. I've been attacked by invisible zombies who teleport to me and don't appear until they've pinched me a couple of times.

Spent an hour looking for a daylight server. All pitch black and raining. Literally can't see anything and TV brightness fully up

I don't think bases should be impregnable, but should be difficult to breach. I remember watching frankieonpc gain entry to bases with rare items such as chain saws or c4. I was also hoping that they would introduce lockable safes at some point too. Someone elsewhere also suggested perhaps respawning near to where you log out but not in the same place exactly as a way to prevent ghosting. Not sure how easy this would be to implement but would certainly be a good solution.

I would doubt it, I don't think dayz ever had that option in the past but I could be wrong

I wasn't asking you, but seeing how you felt the need to answer for him, I don't have any Probs with hit reg. I seem to die when shot and people die when I shoot them.

In what sense is the game broken? Does it not currently work on your machine?
