I'm on xbox on a populated server and been looting cherno and Elektro all week for car parts and it's running fine for me. Before the patch it was laggy, especially audio but like I say, running pretty darn good for me
-
Honestly, game is running pretty darn good for me.
-
I tried this last night with a pistol but it didn't work unfortunately

Name a game company that does!

I wouldn't say long time between patches, really? What games have you been playing? I remember waiting over a year for Battlefield 4 to fix its net code. This game has only been out a few months on console. PC have waited years to get here.
-
It still will be early access(or game preview to be precise) on console, so really no point in getting attached to anything until full release on console next year. This is nothing, I remember putting in months of grinding back in the early days of Ark only to lose it to updates. I also have a survival build on Ark that I can't even access anymore that took me a year of game playing because the devs decided that the maps could suddenly only be accessed if you beat the bosses on the maps before it, unless you put in a cheat code, which I won't.

I haven't had the laggy sound issue since the horticulture patch, and been through the big cities.
-
It is frustrating not knowing if it was stolen or just despawned.
-
Using an M4, and it only attracted zombies once the suppressor was ruined.

I thought you said on a rooftop? I think it's just one of those things that it could be anywhere but it only takes one person to spot it. The server I'm in varies from ten people to fourty plus people just when I'm on during evenings. I've no idea what it's like for the other twenty hours. And the time I'm on whenever I check the players, they're different players all the time. So, I imagine even on a low pop server, hundreds probably pass through the server when you consider server hoppers too. I think that the safest thing to do is bury stuff. I have a car in a very remote part of the map, but it's been found a couple of times and had wheels pinched so now I have it completely stripped down and all the parts hidden about the area.

I still dispute the idea that console players are kos more than pc players. My mate I play with comes from pc and he is very much a kos player. He's gradually doing it less as we play together but it's nothing to do with whether you come from console or pc. I watch lots of streamers and youtubers and lots of the PC players kos.
-
Are you sure they weren't stolen? They would be extremely visible from quite a distance on a rooftop.
-
Yes, this is definitely correct. My suppressor ruined with realising. I was taking out zombies quietly then suddenly they started reacting when my suppressor broke.

I hope this never happens. If it wasn't so hard it wouldn't be so rewarding. An important point to consider here...you talk about walking for hours? That's part of the beauty of the game. The environment is beautiful (reminds me of my home in the North of England) and you can be peacefully walking through woods and hills for hours and then suddenly, bang, your in contact and your heart is jumping out of your mouth. No other game does this.

I've died twice fixing up the car I've found. Kept heading back there and it's nearly done. Just stick at it, it's a hard game but that makes all you're achievements all the more rewarding
-
I don't think you can really apply rules to the game whether it's game preview or not. I don't think that's particularly relevant. Anyway, the game consists of all types of players. They are all part of the game experience. You need the kos as much as the heroes and bandits. Combat logging is something different. I can understand the temptation but it's like playing any game and just quiting before you lose. You're cheating yourself as much as the person that is engaging you. Try not to think of death as the end though. Part of the fun of this game is starting out with nothing and looting up. I also find it can be good to die sometimes. When you're fully geared you can become too attached and cautious. I was spending ages cautiously looting for car parts when I died. I spawned back up at electro and found all the bits I needed in twenty mins!
-
Nights pretty dark. To be fair though, it lasts five minutes. Time to sit back, light a fire, throw some chicken on and sort your pockets out. I also use that time to think about where I'm heading next. Before you know it the sun is up.
-
Further to the water poisoning, I've been drinking water from bottles that I've collected from ponds, and never fallen sick. I told my mate that it's safe to drink from ponds so he drank straight from a pond and got sick instantly. I guess it must be a bug that pond water becomes pure when it's bottled or in a cooking pot.

Yeah I died of starvation once when I couldn't get the beans off a zombie!

Normally just right trigger to go down to select what they have

Too many bases to raid. Not enought time.

I wouldn't even know how to dupe something but if that's the case I'll be sure to empty his barrel next time I'm passing. -

I had a funny encounter yesterday with a guy. I was on my way to meet a mate and nosed past the tents North of vysotovo when a guy came racing past me. We kinda stopped, waved, awkwardly parted company and I carried on onto the woods where I immediately stumbled on a barrel. Had a quick look and it was full of AK mags all with 16 rounds in? A couple of scopes and some other bits. Don't know for sure but I reckon this guy was loot running back and forth between the tents and this barrel. I'm not greedy so I took two mags and moved off. I bet the guy was panicking in case I found his little stash. Anyway, was just curious why all the maths had 16 rounds in. Am I missing something? -
But what they were talking about was relevant to console.
-
I would agree with this. I tend to play more as a survival pve, with occasional player encounters. I've had as many positive encounters as I've had negative. The survival aspect and the player interaction aspect make this game what it is. I think that people playing it purely for the pvp aspect are missing the point. But each to their own, and I suppose having a few idiots in the server gives the game another facet.

There isn't A way to play, there are lots of ways. It's not just a pvp game though it certainly is to some people.
