Well, they did it once. I suppose it could happen again. Or, the server might crash and you might lose everything. Or, a huge solar flare could reach out across the solar system and wipe all digital data from the face of the earth. Hell, how will I sleep tonight.

You just need to learn the map. There is a useful app called izurvive. Doesn't take too long to navigate around and learn where things are.

You can place items anywhere you want in your inventory. Just hold A and place it where you want it.

I guess just be careful about what you eat and drink. Have you tried charcoal tablets or any other remedies?

I cant see why they wouldn't bring out new maps in the future. It's got nothing to do with modding.

I don't think it does contradict, he is just suggesting that it is worth stashing gear in the event of losing what you're carrying. -

No, it still does that! Pretty handy actually. Also, the gas bottles, stoves and pots take 12 slots each but when you combine them all it takes just 12 slots for the whole lot. The gestalt nature of stoves! -
Yeah, I'm actually surprised they've added as much as they have as quickly as they have. Yeah, there are some bugs,but none of the issues really interfere with my enjoyment of the game.

I still feel its pointless having dozens of servers with three people in them. I play on servers with anywhere between forty to sixty people on and can play for hours without seeing a soul. There are obvious places to hang out of you want interaction with other players but it is really easy to avoid people if you don't. I'm guessing at some point they will bring out an offline single player mode that you might enjoy more but surely the player interaction is what makes the game exciting?

Absolutely, as long as, like you say, it's an option. New players will find the game more accessible I guess.

Some of my most exciting moments in the game have been when I'm dying of thirst /hunger /bleeding etc and manage to scrabble to safety and patch up, survive and go on my way again. Its part of the game.

Yeah I agree, at least if they did add that stuff, you should be able to toggle it in options. For me personally, the less info on screen the better. I have all my HUD turned off, I like the immersion but I get how some might want it. With regards the kill feed though, I think that should be a server setting that applies to everyone on the server. It would be advantageous for a player to have it on because then they'll know for sure if they've killed someone. With no kill feed you don't always know if the person you shot actually died.

I found it a little tricky to zoom out and scroll down to the very bottom of the map though. It wouldn't quite scroll all the way to the south coast as of it were slightly bugged. I'd be interested to hear if you can get it to scroll all the way down. -

Well, no, you wouldn't get out if the uncon mechanic was taken out because you'd be dead anyway surely?

Loot respawns so quickly though that finding stuff anywhere is not an issue.
