What's the deal with floating cars in garages? Can they be saved?

They may be OK after a server restart, this sometimes happens. Just join a different server till they work again.

Lol, I had a nose around it, car tent, structures and around ten barrels full of gear. I didn't take anything, I have everything I need already. Just interested in whose base it was. There is also a fully repaired car in a garage nearby but its floating in the air so I didn't dare get in it!

No clue what you're talking about. Are you saying that you are trying to join a low pop server and it's not letting you in? If so, wait for it to restart and it should let you in. It's it your home server? If not, just join a different one, there are plenty of them.

I'm assuming you're not logging in with different xbox accounts as this would give you different characters?

Maybe get a job with BI then and help them set it up. They would probably pay top dollar to someone with your coding skills.

This has been discussed in many threads already and applies to pc and console. Just a quick glance through discussion threads would have answered your question. I believe that was the point Just Caused was trying to make. The devs are aware of the issues and creating duplicate threads doesn't help, nor does calling people names. Must of us left that behind in the school play ground.

The first thing I'd say is that dayz is still quite buggy in places but don't let it put you off. The game is still highly rewarding. I mostly play solo though I do have a friend I play with occasionally. Each has its pros and cons. Best way to learn the map is use the izurvive app. It's a really good resource. If you don't have other friends already with the game, try making contact on the game itself. I've met quite a few people in game that I've rolled with for minutes, hours and sometimes days. Obviously be cautious of strangers but generally people I bump into and actually communicate usually turn out ok. I tend to roll along the coast till I have some basic supplies and then head inland. Its a big map. Once you've learnt roughly where things are is fun to just see where your feet take you. Definitely worth picking up a compass. I tend to pick a landmark in the distance and head towards it until something catches my eye. I laughed when you said about spooking yourself. When I first started playing I was in a police station and heard footsteps. My heart was racing and I froze in the corner of the room for about twenty minutes till I realised it was a zombie outside.

Well, just passed through tisy military base and there were enough AKMs to arm a battalion. Oddly enough, first AKs I've seen for a while. Normally only find m4s.

You could see the car was glitched, it was partly in the ground. I had a character go the same way!

I don't really think it'd make much difference on a console anyway on terms of audio quality. But yeah, if you already have a USB then pretty annoying I guess.

You can plug headsets straight into the 3.5mm jack without the adaptor you know.

I was in a barracks in tisy and a guy followed me in. I panic fired my mosin and clipped him and he ran into the room next to me. After a minute to restart my heart, I switched to voip and said that I was friendly and panicked but would put my gun down if he did too. He came out with his gun down and I put mine away too. Then he switched to voip and we got chatting. I turned round to see his fully geared mate stood behind me. They could have easily taken me out but they ended up giving me a pistol silencer and some .45 ammo. Just goes to show, sometimes it's worth communicating even if shots have already been exchanged.

Fair point! I also play on NL servers generally medium or high pop. The low pop always seem more heavily looted so I stay off them. I guess server hoppers find low pop more appealing for safety reasons but I think this causes a greater lack of loot in them.

Absolutely, I can spend days putting the finishing touches on and then die by player/hoard/ladder etc! But under two hours be armed and supplied and self sufficient without breaking a sweat.
