I was armed with a tin of spaghetti. I met a guy on the coast with a pistol. Said hello. I had ammo for his pistol so I dropped it for him and he then tried shooting me. So I stoved his head in with the spaghetti. Very satisfying.

I have played in big cities and it wasn't unplayable. Trust me 😉

Do you read changelogs? It's to protect the persistence of bases that might have taken days to build. Your last thirty minutes is a small price to pay.

So duping is bad but server hopping is OK? Why don't people just play the game as intended and use what you find rather than needing to have full decked out military gear? Each to their own I guess, but it's ages since I've had an AR and I can't say I've missed them really. I'm sure server hopping screws up the loot economy just as effectively.

I remember some of the old frankieonpc videos where there were hero skins and bandit skins. I always liked the idea that you would earn things by acting on a specific way. I think you earned hero points by bandaging other players, etc and bandit credits by kos'ing. Not sure how appropriate that would be in the current game build but maybe something to discuss.

Is it actually possible to repair a damaged tyre? Tried combining with different combinations of tyre repair kit and tyre iron but no luck. Is this mechanic actually in the game yet?

Um, sorry to be pedantic but it has definitely got a 'y' in it! Actually, no I haven't tried duct tape, always worth a shot though. I'll let you know if it worked. I also meant to try repairing it whilst it was still attached to the car but forgot so must try that too. I am guessing it's not in game yet though.

Welcome to dayz. First off, the game can be buggy at times but be patient with it, it's a very rewarding game. Coastal areas tend to be hotspots for meeting people friendly or otherwise, but you can bump into people in the most unexpected places. I drove around for a few hours today and saw nobody but then heard gunshots on a very remote place. I was also skinning a deer once, in the middle of nowhere and got shot dead. Everyone has a different playstyle. I tend to be cautious but will generally attempt voice communication before shooting someone. Talking on game can often prevent a firefight, even with heavily geared players. Just because they are armed to the teeth doesn't mean they want to shoot. They have more to lose and often prefer to talk and trade. In my experience!

Possibly not, but is it a really big hassle? I'm sure the control layout is bound to keep changing but it's definitely workable and the current layout I personally find to be possibly the best one so far. I guess everyone is different. My step son always plays games with inverted controls which I find impossible. I would just like the devs to eventually settle on one layout so we don't have to adapt after every update.

Ah cool, never tried putting them in bushes simply because you can't place barrels in bushes. It's also a shame that you can't place barrels under water. I wonder if you can with chests. Anyone tried?

I feel like it's working as intended. If you are laid prone viewing over left shoulder and hit right bumper, it changes to right shoulder. It only rolls your character if you hit RB again. To me, that's working in a pretty logical way it seems?

I just play on xbox one and it runs pretty well for me. My mate plays on an X and he always seems to be crashing.

I'm pretty sure it's persistent, but I always bury them regardless. I found someones chest yesterday and found a new hole to put it in 😁

Yeah, I love a silenced pistol. Also really like carrying a usg or scorpion as they are so small to carry. Love the shotty for close encounters and then one of the rifles for longer range. Not really bothered about ARs to be honest.

There are plenty other guns available easily. Mosin, SKS, hunting rifle, shotty, sub machine guns and a handful of pistols.

That's just the random chance that you spawn in near someone. You should try to get to a quiet spot when the server is about to restart. And if you were server hopping the odds are increased that you'll bump into someone. Should have just logged back into the same server.

Fortunately haven't had this problem yet, but deffo worth trying again if you haven't. As Vernon says, this has been commented on by the mods. Regarding the item dropping issue, I was playing yesterday and I dropped an item. Literally seconds later I got a No message received, and the game kicked me. I thought, great, going to be locked out, but it was fine. So I'm curious as to the exact circumstances. Is it dropping an item and then logging out that causes it or does being kicked out a server restart cause it too?

The utility butt pack,. It can be attached to a field vest. I think it has 30 slots, which isn't a lot, but can be used whilst wearing a ghillie suit.

Haven't come across one since the update but the last one I did find had an svd. It also had a butt pack but I left it as it didn't seem to do anything. I've since learned its use and regret leaving it but will defo grab once next time I find it!

Not playable? In what sense? I've just played two days straight, ten hours each day. Crashed once. Experienced frame drop a couple of times. Built a car, got it running and have it stashed in a hidy hole. It was a bit scary driving it until I got used to it, but no major issues if careful. Met quite a few players, all friendly. Only hostile I encountered was driving past some mil tents and he tried to shoot me. He was a lousy shot and probably got wrecked by zombies into the bargain. So, I'm not quite sure about which bit is unplayable? Yes, I agree there are still some bugs and yes I think it's probably pointless base building at the minute but stashing containers is a better option anyway. I don't know why you keep trolling the xbox forum, it's all you seem to do. It appears you prefer playing pc version, so, I guess, that's what you should be doing. Right? Or am I missing something?
