Update 1.18 Xbox Experimental (Change Log)
DayzDayzFanboy replied to lynn.zaw's topic in Xbox Experimental Updates
I guess in used to the current layout and don't mind it. But it's such a common option in games that I don't know why they don't include it. It's useful to be able to map buttons so that switching games isn't so awkward readjusting to different control schemes. -
Idea: What if bases would only load for online players?
DayzDayzFanboy replied to Nicklander's topic in General Discussion
Hmm, but that's the point of a public forum. There are one or two people on here that seem to forget that and think that because they've played the game since 1927 it gives them some sort of editorial authority. Anyway, the point I was making is that there is no benefit to base building. You're far better off hiding your loot. This isn't Ark. Maybe boarding up the odd window. But even then, what's the point. You make a base to protect your gear then you're guaranteed to get raided. -

Bases shouldn't be invulnerable. If you don't want someone to breach your base, don't build one. I honestly don't get why people build them in the first place. -
I guess they're just doing what games companies do. Produce games.

Does the B.I company have any plans to combat the large number of hacks on vanilla servers?
DayzDayzFanboy replied to Pirilampo-7bba2bef23275432's topic in General Discussion
Easy less as in extremely rare. Rare enough to be non existent. As for community, good luck finding a populated hardcore server. -

The only way to avoid hackers is playing on console -
But it is, so cry me a river

They did. He just likes to blame console for all his broken dreams.

Root Cellars as a middle ground between buried stashes and bases
DayzDayzFanboy replied to Ethan Beaty's topic in Suggestions
Do we need a middle ground? -
I want to resolve the issue about the ban
DayzDayzFanboy replied to Maksuta228's topic in General Discussion
Nobody here can help you with bans. -
I'm confused. So you're saying the wipe didn't delete your bases?
-
Which platform? I'm on xbox on European 1pp server

Free to play weekend on Sony Playstation 4 and 5
DayzDayzFanboy replied to SiN1SteR _SIREN's topic in General Discussion
No issues loading in on console, at least xbox and I'm on og xbox one. Game running pretty well currently. Some complaints about camera sensitivity from the twitch shooter players, but it looks like today's patch fixed that. -
Get a console 😉

Binoculars take up too many inventory slots.
DayzDayzFanboy replied to BERAKAS's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, I always thought it was weird to have eye zoom. I'd happily see that be taken out of the game. -

Binoculars are pretty redundant. Rangefinder ftw -
Yes, you need to rent a server to change settings. There are literally dozens of community servers with short nights without having to change official servers.
-
You can change it on your server settings
-
Yeah, I imagine I was. I tend not to change settings. I find fast turning speeds to be quite disorienting and harder to control. Default movement speed feels about right for me. Any faster starts to feel like a CoD game, but I can see why some might prefer it.

I'm assuming this is xbox? Is it series x or s? I only ask because I've seen a few bugs reported that seem linked to controls and I've not experienced them. I'm still on an original xbox one and not using an official controller(it's a tesco special with two customisable buttons underneath!). I've not had this problem at all and I'm wondering if it's specific to particular controllers or consoles? I'm wondering if this is intentional. It makes sense, as you should have to remove a container from a backpack in order to access the items in it. If something is added to the hot wheel, it should only be items that are in pouches, pockets, etc. but not in secondary containers.
-
Make it possible to remove items from containers (i.e. clothes, med kits, backpacks, etc…)
DayzDayzFanboy replied to SoullessSibyl's topic in Suggestions
I would agree with this -
Well it's working fine for me 😉
-
I'm assuming you're all on ps5? Xbox seems fine
-
Must just be ps5 then, xbox working fine
