There are quite a few threads which talk at length about this. But in short, duplication had ruined the loot economy causing certain items such as assault rifles not to spawn. You will probably only find them in buried stashes now or in duplicated tent cities. I found my AK in a buried chest and its the first one I've found in months. We're hoping the next big patch this month will see a fix and a server wipe and get things back to normal. Fingers crossed.

1.04 is coming this month. There are lots of discussions about it if you scan through the threads.

It would stop ghosting but from what I gather it wouldn't stop duping. A different solution would be needed.

Heli crashes still spawning but not generally many weapons in them. I haven't seen a LAR since they were added!

God bless America eh?! I'm not sure what you mean by 3pp/tpp.what is the difference? And it is a level playing field, everyone on a 3pp server has the same advantage if they 'choose' to use it. I've already explained my reasons for using it. And yes, I do mostly play 1pp on 3pp servers. And yes, I do only use 3pp when I'm running somewhere. If people were able to somehow play on 3pp on a 1pp server (like back when there was that bug) then that would be cheating. Take a step back, take a breath and have a big slice of perspective pie. Maybe have a cup of tea with it (or cup o' tea as you Americans like to say!) it's very good for the nerves.

I gave you my honest reason. I don't need to lie or pretend. I'm an adult, I stopped doing that kind of thing a long time ago. 3pp games are a thing though. It's not an exploit, it's a game style. Some people like to play 3pp games. You have the option to play either, so I'm not sure what you're today about. You are certainly deluded when you accuse 3pp off cheating. If you want to play 1pp then nobody is stopping you.

No, but I only have the clothes on my back and the contents of my backpack. I don't have tents and chests full of gear to worry about. Life is easier the less you have. I never got into base building and stashing beyond the odd few bits if I'm getting a car going.

I have two xbox accounts, mine and my sons. Obviously there are people probably with multiple accounts, fully geared with duped gear hanging around factory and switching profile if they get killed to seek revenge. I'd like to say idiotic teenagers, but I actually met some pretty cool teenagers the other day. We teamed up as new spawns to take on some bambi killing dupers at factory. We obviously got screwed taking on svd's with a can of beans, but we had fun. All I will say though is that the aforementioned dupers were really bad shots and probably wasted three mags to kill one person. I'm pretty sure they'll get bored and fuck off when duping gets fixed.

So you get 3 fps currently? Everywhere? And you were only getting 12 fps before? Or are we exaggerating slightly perhaps.

That's certainly not my experience. Every time I've joined a first person server I've been killed on sight within half an hour of joining.

I'd love to see that eventually, especially the namalsk map, so atmospheric.

There are lots of reasons people choose to change server. But imagine being locked in a server which becomes low pop. I guess ultimately it isn't a big deal of you could have other characters on other servers. I currently have two characters. One I use if I'm playing with a friend. We log off and on together so that we don't spend the entire game night making our way to each other. My second character is my solo character for when my mate isn't online.

I play on 3rd person servers. Most of the time I'm in fpp, but I like to go 3pp while I'm jogging about heading somewhere. Its not cheating, it's a game setting.

Well, just been killed at Rify. I heard a group on the ship and shouted hello. They shouted back to come up and sounded pretty friendly! Met one of them at the bottom of the ship and asked him if he wanted my field back pack as I was about to make an improvised one. He said yeah and as I was dropping it he shot me dead. I was unarmed too. The funny part though was that the voip must have been bugged because I could still hear their conversation for a couple of minutes afterwards. His friends said what's happened and the dude says "he's dead, he had a gun". Then his mate was shouting "but he was friendly, it wasn't meant to go down like this. No killing I said.". The guy that shot me sounded crest fallen and kept apologising to his buddy. The last I heard before the voip cut off was the murderer saying "just hurry up and loot him before we get shot. Let's get outta here" I think it was the funniest death I've had. Never heard voices after death before. I don't think they could hear me either. The death I experienced an hour before was a little bit saltier. Two week old character at the civvy barracks near tisy. I shouted hello in my friendliest voice and they just sprayed me through the window. But, I will still always speak before shooting 🤔

Ah. Are they other scopes fixed does anyone know?

Yeah I guess. I can't believe how many unopened tents I find. Literally all over. I ran from the coast inland and every now and again there would be two or three unopened tents dumped in the road. Bizarre.

I cant imagine much, if anything, in the way of modded servers on xbox. I can imagine we'll eventually get private servers. I could also imagine these servers have a range of settings and parameters which a server owner could tweak, similar to Ark, but I think it's a long way off and if we do get them it will be limited compared to PC.

Yes, I gather that in the new update there is risk of infection of you don't disinfect, etc. I think that sewing kits have a high chance of causing infection too, something I heard in aTRMZ stream a couple of days ago.

At the moment on console, one shot from a suppressed pistol brings the whole town down on you. I don't even pick them up anymore. I'm pretty sure this is bugged as it's only been like this since the accidental update. I stick with melee now for zeds.

It's also worth noting that the next update adds a lot of survival elements regarding infection and illness. I would certainly like to see slower health regen. But the things you list as not working are certainly working on xbox. I will only ever drink from wells or water that I've boiled myself and never eat raw meat. Maybe this is an issue on Playstation?

I'm not bothered about picking clothes, though I wouldn't mind, but would definitely like the option to pick the character. I like playing the older guy!

Yeah, if they were to add it, I would hope there would be a toggle option. I always turn game music off.
