I'm sure you already knew to look, but green houses often spawn food and drink. I wouldn't waste time looking for fruit. I've never found fruit when I've searched for it. I only ever find it by accident when I have half a cooked cow in my bag. The knife is the key to survival. Once you have that you can hunt, fish, make fire. Good luck

There are so many guides on here and reddit. Food is not an issue. You just have to be thorough. The only server I've ever starved on is Don Sibleys Try to Survive with 1/5 loot. Any other server shouldn't be an issue. -

Usually if that happens, put the clothing item in your hands and then transfer items to your inventory. If that doesn't work try a relog.

Welcome to dayz. Try to ignore the game pass haters. They were new once too. The more people playing this game the better.

Bases are pointless if you want them to actually protect anything. If you have loot that you really need to stash (personally I don't get it) then just bury it out hide it underwater. Bases could be fun to build in terms of giving you an in game objective. Same as cars. Occasionally I might fix up a car just for something to do but I don't expect to still have that car next time I log on.

Food is everywhere. Boats on the beach greenhouses, infected, etc. But, if you're still finding it too challenging there are plenty of easy mode servers in community with ridiculously boosted loot and short nights. You can be armed to the teeth in ten minutes if that's really what you're looking for. -

I feel the same to some extent. I hate the boosted loot short night servers. I recently started playing on don sibleys Try to Survive with 1/5 loot. I haven't survived more than a day on it yet and loving it! Very challenging server -
The one I found was packed away so can't be sure if it was a natural spawn or not. I've never found one since so I guess it was dropped there. I believe they used to spawn there on pc back in the day?

I once found a tent in the ones that overlook balota. Maybe the odd clothing item but nothing in a long time.

You just hold Y to reload. This also works if you're holding a mag and have loose ammo in your inventory. Double tapping Y will unload a weapon or mage that you're holding -
Yes, there are in-game maps. I've found them in places such as hunting stands, cars, shops and camp sites. They're a little awkward to use but you can zoom and scroll around them. I used to use izurvive but now I don't bother. I like to use the maps in game. I know chernarus pretty well but when I started playing livonia I decided to only use the in game maps for the immersion. I quite like not knowing where I am and then suddenly coming across a landmark or road sign and figuring out my location.

It's probably also worth mentioning that an axe will drop cows, pigs and sheep with one chop. Don't know if it matters where you hit them. Generally I just run up to them swinging and they drop. Between that and fishing, food should never be an issue. -

Shot a deer in the neck last night with a repeater. One shot kill. At a guess the range was probably around 200 meters at the most, so not sure how range affects this. -
From what I recall, it was always the saw. Did you try Google?

File size doesn't make a good or bad game. Minecraft is a really small file and it's still one of the most popular games after ten years. RDR2 was a huge file and look at how bad that is. The concept is more important.
