Yeah, I think if you stick to the grass you should be able to run without any ill effects other than maybe drop in temperature. Bleeding feet running on stony ground though. -

No, it's intentional that you spawn in with damaged gear as a fresh spawn. As for the rate at which shoes take damage, I'm not having real issues with that, seems no different to me. I'm pretty sure different types of footwear wear out at different rates and running on hard ground probably wears them out faster. I also assume damage can be caused by hits from infected. -

I haven't noticed it to be worse than before. Worth noting though that you can now spawn in fresh with already damaged clothing and shoes -

Same here, at least on console. Sure, there are some issues, but 95% of my game play experience is pretty solid. I only play on official now, as most community servers have boosted loot and short nights.

What sort of loot are you meaning? I play official pretty much exclusively and get kitted up pretty well. Definitely a struggle to survive initially but once you get the holy knife it's the gravy train.

First time playing properly since the update, just a couple of observations. When crafting the improvised knife I still end up with two stones as well as the knife. Couldn't light a fire outside with matches. It wasn't windy or wet. It was about five mins before a server reset so maybe that? Other than some frame stutter in big towns occasionally it seems pretty solid. Question about experimental servers though... I noticed that the sun rays are back in game. I hadn't realised they'd gone to be honest but I heard on reddit that they were taken out? @Max Planck

Can't remember the exact quantities now, but cut a burlap sack into strips and combine with netting. I think one netting and two strips. I never bother though because when you look over your shoulder it really obscures your vision

I haven't played for a while so not sure if this is still a thing, but I remember watching TRMZ not too long ago and vitamin pills seemed to be the duct tape of the medical world.

I think stash persistence is only fourteen days now. Probably a good thing. Gets all that loot back into the game rather than being buried in a wood somewhere

You probably got sniped just as you were logging off. Were you on a private or community server? Sometimes community servers get reset by the owners. Our you may have switched to another community server which would give you a fresh character.

Not sure what you mean by a party tent? What's happening exactly? Is it not letting you pack the tent back up? If so, make sure it's empty first.

I've found that it varies from server to server. I've found a couple of servers that seem pretty stable in that regard. Community ones obviously. Haven't been on for a week or so though, so didn't even know about the experimental servers
