It's quite a while since I've been on the beach on an official server. I loaded up my official server character yesterday and meandered South till I found myself at balota. I decided I'd follow the coast all the way to the North of the map as I haven't seen other players in a while. Met two guys, one yank and one rusky, at the water pump just at the North West outskirts of cherno. Both friendly. Helped them out with some food and chatted a minute before carrying on. Bumped into another guy, fairly fresh spawn at elektro. Chatted for a minute and gave him a steak. Carried on and bumped into another player, fully geared at the west edge of elektro docks. He didn't speak and back off so I left him to it. He was travelling same direction and kept his distance. Eventually he doubled back towards elektro. Met another random semi geared at berezino. Said hello, we traded some minor bits and bobs. I guess I was surprised. Was expecting bloodbath in solnichy or a shovel to the face if nothing else. Never heard a gunshot in three hours. Maybe everyone has settled down with a wife and kids now!

I agree with permanent bans for anyone caught cheating. They don't give a s**t until they get caught and then they're all so full of woe suddenly.

I know a while back, a lot of people were complaining that ps4 had a lot of issues but couldn't say how it is now. I play on xbox one with ssd and don't have any major issues

Likewise, I don't use external apps. I feel the same about helicopters. I hope they don't add them as it just seems ridiculous to me that Joe blogs could repair and fly a helicopter. I also feel base building is somewhat unrealistic too. I like the idea of fortifying a house, boarding up windows, etc., and also burying stuff. This seems realistic to me. I can't imagine many people building huge wooden forts during an apocalypse. This just seems far fetched. This aside though, I don't think it is easy to raid a base unless you are a group with all the tools. Every time I come across a base I can't break into it simply for lack of tools. I can't speak for glitches, wouldn't know how to or even want to. It just seems to me that base building is a secondary activity in this game and isn't necessary. The idea of dying and then running back to your base to restock, or even to your body completely spoils the immersion for me. I don't believe in reincarnation!
