Different tastes. People mucking about with cars and bases doesn't bother me, actually adds interest. The beauty of sandbox games is the diversity. You don't have to participate in every aspect, just the bits you like.

I'm not against cars being in, but I certainly wouldn't say they're necessary. I rarely use them and when I have, generally they've been stolen by the time I get online again so I tend not to bother. Sometimes I'll fix one up just for something to do. I can understand the need for cars when base building. But again, that's something I don't bother with or see the point of!

I'm not entirely clear what you're trying to ask, or how it relates to this thread, but as others have said, this is a sand box game where you can do whatever you want and it's not hurting anyone. If you don't like role play servers you have the choice to not join then right?

I generally only play on official. I don't find amazing gear within ten minutes of spawning. It takes a while. That's the point. It's also, for me personally, the fun part of the game. Yes, I completely agree. I'm just saying that not having it is not game breaking as some people would have us believe. I enjoyed Deadly Slobs survival series he did years ago, where barrels were also very rare. It's a playstyle I enjoy, improvised gear.

Because taking all of the guns out is not anything like the same as not adding the bow back in. I've already said I'd like the bow added, but as always with you, attack is the best defence eh?

I'd say fifty fifty friendly hostile in my own experience from day one on xbox. I think you need to appreciate that nothing is forever on dayz. Three day grind? Pfft, I've had characters for months and lost them to all sorts of deaths. That's the game. Calling it toxic is just a salty expression that gets thrown around all too easily in the gaming community when someone's had a bad session. If losing a character after three days grinds your gears that hard, then dayz ain't for you.

1. It's funny to me how people go on about the bow. Yeah, I would like to see it, but it's not really a basic survival tool. Your main complaint seems to be that you struggle to get off the coast because you can't find food and that the broken leg mechanic has changed slightly. Food really isn't an issue once you know what you're doing. There are stones all over, though I've never needed to make a knife because it's easy to find knives just by looting. Not sure why you feel the need to attack people that are simply giving you advice.

I gather it was also mentioned in in-game messages but I can't confirm this as I have messages turned off. I suppose one way to look at it is that warning makes little difference. You still lose everything right?

I guess I'm lucky but I'm still to have a car do weird shit. The worst I've had is screen freeze for a second.

I get the frustration over cars. I think what really baffles me is why people still post about it like it's a new thing and why people actually bother with them at all.

Yeah, I've just spent four hours on livonia with no issues. Got into a clumsy firefight and no issues with frame rate. Really enjoying this update

Not had that issue yet, but have had the issue where combining pristine rags with damaged rags gives all pristine rags. I thought they'd fixed that.

Yeah, I don't get why it's such an issue still. I bought a controller with two programmable buttons underneath and I have one set to voip so I can still move around and talk. But it would be so much easier with a toggle. I used to leave mine on permanently in case I suddenly bumped into someone. There used to be far more player interaction when this was in game.
