Yea if quickwheel is back on d-pad the only thing that's left is the fire-mode edit: I just realized holding breath would be impossible if the leaning were in sticks. If you're leaned to right and hold breath your character will lean left instead. In this case your suggestion for scope - double tap RB would free LB and would serve as a hold breath which is how it is done in PUBG. Other than that propably the best solution is to make the lean function toggle since that's what's preventing people from leaning and shooting at the same time.

would you consider LB since it's been there for the past few months? This time I'm confident to say we've all got used to it already. I mean clicking RS requires the most force of any buttons and we all know how awkward pressing RS while tilting to look around can be... The only thing that gives me a headache is the quickwheel. Now, when we can't move while opening the menu, it does not matter if it is in the d-pad but in the future when/if they add that you can walk and use inventory/quickwheel it becomes a problem since you definitely don't want to stop (let go of LS) to use it which is the case if it's on d-pad and you're using your left thumb to press it. One solution would be to make the quickwheel menu so that you don't need to hold it down but just press so it would be possible to move and use your right hand thumb for it. It's all about not trying to affect your gameplay with awkward button combinations.

No need to hurt ur feelings. I might consider it with just a few little changes. LB = Zoom, Firemode = RS (double click), Quickwheel d-pad right, Gestures d-pad left. All the rest is on the starting post. "this is how I think is the best layout.. Don’t like it? Well boo hoo.." 

Yes but we've all got used to it, it's doable with the base of your index finger. My suggestions are based for better gameplay which includes muscle memory. I think we can all agree that leaning needs to be on the sticks (toggle) like suggested by both. At the moment it's useless ( leaning and shooting at the same time) for majority of the players. Also pressing LS and RS should be very minimal if nonexistent in a game where's shooting involved. Going iron sights with RS is the worst idea for aiming a gun. I could go on and on and on how the buttons didn't need to be changed and the leaning system binded to bumpers f'd up everything else. edit: why I'm so upset about the leaning? because it's become crucial since I play only on the hardcore servers. why would I wanna expose myself when someone else with a different grip is able to peak me?

I wrote this last night actually, 24h ago. left it there and posted when I got back to my pc today and your layout does not work, no offense. I'd like to tell you why if you want to come up with the best setup so maybe we'll get heard. More the hazzle around the topic the better, I hope for more same subject threads just for them to notice and let us know they've heard us and they'll be doing something to it.

exactly 😮 if they only changed the leaning to toggle I'd be fine but it's useless at the moment for me and many others

wish I hadn't got used to already having A,B,X and freelook there, would use the paddles for lean definitely now it's just not so convinient anymore. I'll propably order the pc now

I mean If I took my car to service and went to get it back only to discover the streering wheel is now opposite side and backwards... Since the patch when you couldn't see your guns fire mode I've developed a habit not to travel with my gun in hands. Has led me to many friendly encounters and has significally reduced the KoS both ways. Now? Can't do that since you can't quickly equip your weapon with Y. It's just that they changed so many things at once. First time I died yesterday at VMC because when tried to shoot a guy who was shooting at me I bloody just leaned to the right. So I don't know if you understand the frustration but the game has become unplayable for me. It's not enjoyable anymore even tho the performance is better and I really like the game but it's just enough. The leaning is going to be changed I'm 100% sure they can't just leave it like that at least make it toggle so people who does not use claw grip can actually aim down sight and shoot while leaning to the right. I can't do it, I don't have the fingers for it.

I was at the south-west corner of the airfield, inside one of the apartment buildings as I had just killed a guy who told me to put my gun away and when I didn't comply and told him to put his away he started to shoot at me. So I was sorting the stuff inside when this guy entered and I told him to leave as he was cornered in one of the rooms 2nd floor. He left but came back behind me. I'll be giving the change next time also.

Of course I haven't it's been assigned to a pedal behind my controller since they assigned it to RS. The problem is the Zoom being in the same button. RB would've been the best option for Freelook and Zoom should've been left untouched on LB. Also quickwheel should've stayed on the d-pad. These changes were unneccesary and would've prevent all this shit and saved some time and effort. For the record, I've never killed a freshie who wasn't trying to kill me. Got clean conscience. I just actually died to a guy at the airfield only cause I promised not kill him while he wanted to leave the building where I was at. Oh and I do have a 4K monitor actually. edit: not to mention the terrible leaning system, the devs clearly have no idea about controllers. if your playing with claw grip you're lucky but to the rest (majority) it's impossible ie. lean right + ads + shoot. leaning needs to be on the sticks and toggle function. lol they said they want to make sure everything works fine... all this time they had and it took 10 minutes discover this...

No, you can't zoom after you've turned your head around like you used to did. That's how it's supposed to be. Freelook is fine but the zoom can't be in the same button and definitely not a 'toggle'. Why would I want to zoom behind me? Propably locating a player shooting at me? While flanking someone I'd like to see them? You clearly spend your time picking up apples so pls get back to your garden.

I thought they said they wanted to make sure everything was working as intended which obviously wasn't the case. I'm not gonna bother with the game anymore, not until they fix the leaning and zooming, if not then what a shame.

No offense but the new controller layout made the game unplayable, I gave up after 10 minutes of fooling around trying to get it to feel natural with the elite conroller. No can do. - Zooming shouldn't be TOGGLE, LEANING should've been toggle, how on earth can you shoot while leaning to the right? And the awkwardness of leaning left and shooting? You devs are facing a proper shit storm because of these changes. Maybe listen to our suggestions, the people who knows how to put a steak on a stick ffs. - You can't zoom while freelooking first. NICE ONE!! - Swapping X/Y, you kidding me right? After all these months we've gotten used to it. - Can't equip 1st item in your quickwheel with Y... - While prone and in inventory the character rolls with bumbers - Taking an item to hand from inventory moves your 'cursor' to your hands, when before it stayed where you took out the item - You can not equip an item from the ground it needs to be put in your inventory first Quickwheel didn't need to be changed it's not like you can move anyway when accessing the menu so maybe you should've leave the ADS on RB instead! ------------------------------------ LEANING = LT + LS/RS (click) - Make it toggle! LS (click) = Hold Breath while in scope LT + RB = Iron sight LT + LB = Scope LB = Zoom RB = Freelook X and Y - As they were! Quickwheel back to where it was. There you go, no need to thank me! i was about to make a long post that it's gonna piss a lot of people... some of the stuff just doesn't make sense like from now on it's quite impossible to move while going into scope since you need to press right on d-pad. iron sight RS click? so you gonna mess your aim even more now with the terrible dead zone which I doubt is fixed. I'm hyped for the update but little things like these almost make me not want to even give it a try. It could've been done so much better like suggested many times in previous topics. It's like listening but not hearing, I totally get her now...
