Berezino, crashed boat, severno, electro, cherno, solinichy, NWA. Oddly enough almost no action takes place in the hills, it almost always occurs at spawn towns. I hope people start pushing out and staying in the forest and hills more

I would imagine, when the new snipers enter the game like the scout rifle.. that will have a long range scope (hopefully). I've not heard of the addition to the long range scope, however, it was available for the high tier weapons on the mod like the AS50. If there is a weapon like that, then maybe. Hopefully. It would be useful, however you still need to adjust the distance anyway..

This is an ongoing issue. The best temporary solution to address this is when you see them combat log... leave the area asap. Unfortunately private servers will not fix this issue. DayZ is a PvP centered game. And this ghosting mechanic is an abuse of the system. If you notice it. Leave. That's the best advice I can give. Or Walk further back. Allow them to spawn and shoot them in the back for what they are trying to do.

I have yet to see the hatchet so I cannot confirm. Machete yes you can equip. I have one on my character and use it to kill zombies when my knife breaks.

To the left of health where water drops show when wet. It will appear there.

It actually does show you, but the UI needs to be fixed. If you look at your blood icon without a test, it will just be a blood icon and is blank. If you test and look at your blood icon, you can just make out half of each symbol. So for me, I tested myself and it shows O+. I have yet to die, so it remains. It is there, PM your blood icon, but it is a little tricky to read. If you test someone else, they will see the same result, however you will not know what their blood is. I would like to know what the blood is of someone incase they are knocked out and need a transfusion, but that may come later.

It's like a stomach icon that appears next to the health icon on the far left. It is used to inform you that you have either ate too much or drank too much. Getting the icon for a short duration will result in coughing and throwing up, how long the icon stays is how long the symptoms could last. Its brutal, it happened to my friend one day, we were in a fire fight and they just collapsed and threw up for a few seconds. Needless to say the enemy put them out of their misery hahaha.

To add onto what @kichilron has stated. It is in the status report and there are alot of pressing stability issues that need to be addressed which are of higher importance than vehicles. Beta has been announced with the possibility of vehicles, and this will undergo a stress test period on pc, then move to experimental on pc. While xbox does contain experimental builds, it likely will not be seen until late November or early december. To be fair, I can put on some music, loot and get kills while walking across the map. It takes about 2 hours in a straight line to get from kamenka (bottom left spawn) to nobo (top right town) That is perfect time and allows me to enjoy the scenery. Yes vehicles are important and they are needed. But in due time. They are not the most pressing matter on the xbox build

This is especially the case in survival games where there is no objective. Its hard to formulate a rule set unless dictated by a server owner. I dont know why this would ever happen in dayz, but say a server host specified that PvP could only be done from 5pm-11pm weekdays, and all day weekend. Well it would be well within the server admins right to ban someone that PvPs outside those restrictions. DayZ never had a formalized ruleset, it more has a community and playstyle adopted role creation. Hence the terms, bambi, hero, bandit, hunter. The beauty about survival games is to play how you like, whenever you like. There is no enforcement against stream sniping, that is dealt with either the streamer or the streaming service. However, the only games I've known to enforce stream sniping as a breach of ToC is Fortnite ans PuBG on occasion. Personally, if you are watching my stream, you see my server number and you are trying to get to me, you will be looking for my exact location, and what I see. Based on that split second looking away from tv to the stream, I could get you there. If I knew you were sniping, I'd purposefully look at a wall and sound you. So it's the battle of skills. If you get your jollies of stream sniping, well, I guess that's how you enjoy wasting your time.

Xbox has fairly strict regulations in the sense that if it enters the marketplace as preview, there has to be some determination that it will leave and release 1.0, and it wont sit idly in game preview. As such that is why the current program only has 10-15 games at a time. Because of this, xbox is also very forward with moving the game along. Doesnt need to be speedy, just show the improvement. With ps4, they dont have a solidified preview program, but they arent pushing them away from what I've heard. I do agree it does have to be along the lines of completed if it is early access. Personally I dont mind xbox being the testing ground. I would rather it be pc and xbox, and once we lay down the framework for a successful product, ps4 reaps the benefits of a beautiful game. Long gone are the days of console wars and fanboys, they are still there, blah blah, but one console laying the framework for the other is fine. 1 console is easier to manage than 2, along with the pc build. I would hope other games flow this mantra, like xbox has dayZ until 1.0, then ps4 can take it post launch, and I wish the same would go for something like the Forest. Lord knows console exclusive will always happen, but man, would it be nice to have non console specific games except for the big heavy hitting console exclusives (God of war, uncharted, halo, gears, etc) Game previews should be all platforms at some point. Like I want Green Hell... badly, but my pc cant run it, so I can only hope they do what BI did with DayZ.

Private servers for xbox are in the roadmap. Mod support is not. Now that's not to say either will or will not happen, neither could, or both could, but we dont know yet. I have seen in other mod threads that xbox mod support is not in the roadmap at this time.

Well if original speculation is true, then 1.0 would launch Q1 2019. I think that is wishful, probably Q2, however, if they plan on jumping right from v0.63 to Beta, which would be like what.. v0.80? Its gonna be a rocky jump. I just hope people make solid big reports, and help the devs perfect the outcome.

Welp, let them stress test it, once it rolls into experimental we could possibly see some features, as xbox does have experimental versioning, so you never know. Considering as how they are skipping the next update set and moving right to beta, as the devs stated.. "This will be a big feature update" (paraphrasing) meaning that there will be alot of content. It is imperative that bugs are reported properly, and it is ironed out before launch. I'd expect sometime in the next month or so it will be hitting stress tests, then November sometime we will see it experimental, and it will be drip fed into xbox, with the full blown update probably late November or early December

You did read the PC files launch patch notes correct? There is a line of code that will allow server owners to force first person. Unfortunately it will not be available until after xbox can host servers, and i would not expect that until right before 1.0 or a while after 1.0 launch. If you want to play hardcore just do it. Doesnt matter If it is locked or not. The arguement that states "oh but while you're in 1st person and others are in 3rd person is unfair..." is not valid as that is the joy of playing fpp or hardcore. It seriously makes you value your choices and actions. Running right outside a wall into the street could be your demise unless you think of a more safe approach as you couldn't peek the wall. I honestly think 3rd person breaks immersion, but hey, its whatever. Play hardcore and just have fun, regardless of whether it is locked in perspective or not. This is classified as a "Would be nice to have" feature, not a "high priority" feature.

Unfortunately I too have noticed that occasionally I am locked when I first load. Just wait 30 min to an hour and you should be unlocked

Hatchet I do not believe is in, it may be part of the craftable update, but the machete is.

Ah, well that would be the issue then. You missed last weeks update which wiped all characters..... You didnt pay $40 to have a game every time you join you get wiped. You paid $40 to be part of an alpha build, and test new features before the game launches. Therefore, what does it matter? Who cares if you have to start over at the beach, that's half the fun. I've been fully geared multiple time but ya know what, I'm so bored I just suicide emote for the fun of it. Hmmm. Not something I've seen personally, as if I cant resolve a gun fight in 60s I change positions to avoid some creeping up on me. It is possible you're at a reset period for the server, however I dont know if there is enough evidence to support that claim yet. You have no problems with running around and this only happens when you enter a gunfight correct? 5-10 min of shooting or 5-10 min of shoot, move, wait, shoot, move wait, etc?

I couldn't see the hud/reticule when in 3rd person, but I did notice the movement. I see this issue particularly when moving shoulder view. So switching from right shoulder to left shoulder and mixing in first person. Unfortunately I dont have an answer, but for further testing, we could aim at one location, fire a shot and view the bullet hole on a wall on 3rd person right shoulder, 3rd person left shoulder, right shoulder swap to 1st person, then left shoulder swap to 1st person and see where all 4 bullets land.

I'm the same way. However.... When I group up with friends I am in party. I have had seriously mixed results with the Party VOiP. My friend and I tested day of the patch, and we switched from party to game chat. She could hear me, but I couldn't hear her. She died a few days later and was streaming, while we were in party, and she was not in game chat, but was having conversations with people in game chat, while she was in party. It isnt enough evidence to create a full blown bug report, however I think the issue resides on Xbox side, where they would have to edit permissions for Ingame chat override while in party. Dont see that solution being implemented, but I think the intention originally was to be in party chat with friends and without leaving, be able to talk in game. I think a few stability patches down the road will resolve this anyways, but yea, I think it will be an ongoing issue.

No need to attack me. Lol. I'm contributing to the forum like I should. I offer and post solutions all the time... Ultimately the same logic you use to bash me is the same logic I present. I do not wish nor think to be a part of the team or the industry as I am already on a software development team thanks... If you're going to post your thoughts and opinions, fantastic. That's exactly what I am doing. There is no need to attack me for offering my support, criticisms or help and advice to people.

The game is going to die when all the servers show 0 pop. And considering as how dayZ has been out for 5 years and still has a loyal fanbase.. I wouldnt count on the pessimism. If you dont like where it is at, play something else and come back in a few months

Please view the PC server files update thread where once you become a server owner you can edit the camera lock with a simple line of code... disable3rdPerson = 1; It is not part of this update nor will it be for atleast 4-5 months
