Seriously, take a look at PUBG's controller schemes. It should help you out in finding your own. Pretty sure the community wouldn't mind seeing PUBG's controls tweaked for DayZ. I would be just fine if that's all you worked on until they were both working as intended. That last patch was good. It fixed a lot key shit we needed fixed. Weapons mainly. Kudos. Get that persistence and whip up and running and we in there like swimwear on a thicc chick. A good control scheme. Duping, bugs, loot. Polish. And then start adding and building onto the game.

Each tool has about 6-8 uses before it's ruined. Duck tape has 4 uses before it's gone. You're going to need A LOT of tools just for one watchtower. Especially if you're not next to a plank spawn. Chopping trees for logs and then having to saw them for planks uses A LOT of hatchets/axes and hacksaws. Did I mention nails? Lol, nope. That's a whole nother rant. Don't even get me started on looking for nails. It takes 300 for a watchtower. There's 70 to a box. Like I said, have fun looking for building mats. P.S. You don't understand because you're not base building.

Have fun looking for building mats. Server hoppers make it impossible for there to be "plenty of loot to go around" and loot respawns depend on proximity, not time. Grab an item, walk far enough away, walk back, new loot. Why waste time (an insane amount of time btw) looking for nails, tools, etc when server crashes and updates wipe all of that time and effort. o.0 As you can see i'm talking about using duping for base building. Inb4basebuildingisendgameshit There is no end game. Survive for as long as possible.

Happened to a buddy and I the other night. Went from Kamyshovo to Zelenogorsk hitting every mil spot and police station along the way. In three plus hours we found two IJ's and a .45. Got to Zelen... still nothing. Decided to hop. 7 hops later and still not an AR in sight. Logged off.

When it comes to hide/pelts, you can only craft the boar skin improvised backpack. You can craft leather, but that's it. Atm there's no crafting anything using leather.
