No perks with owning the game on both systems then huh? I paid $100 for two copies only to play with friends on both platforms... Guess what? I got NO friends to play with on either of the systems because they left due to a broken mess with slow updates, glitches and cheaters. I'm stuck with two copies and two broken games... Yay BI! Most likely i will rent a server and my goal is to have two factions on either side of the map, looting, fighting, building with none-faction players also present on the map. https://pasteboard.co/Ip3o5uJ.jpg *Orange team vs Blue team. *Each team can have no more than 22 members. *Each faction can build one massive base inside their territory. *There will be monthly firefights in pre-determend areas from discord chat. *Other players can join and play on the server either as an explorer/friendly or as a bandit or a hero. Friendly explorer = White armband Bandit/outlaw = Red armband Hero/Police = Green armband These three are independent of each other and the two factions. *Players with White armband can not be shot at under no circumstance except if they go rouge. *If a player from any of these three roles decides to join one of the factions (orange or blue) he must put on a yellow armband to show that he can be recruited. He don't have to join blue team if they meet/approach him first, he can choose to pass and wait to be approached by orange team instead. Both Bandits and Heroes will in some way be factions that fight each other. Bandits also fight both blue and orange factions. *Bandits are allowed small tents and barrels only, as bases. *Heroes are allowed all tents and barrels and must build their bases in and around police stations. *Explorers can only use small tents. This is my idea of a great and fun dayz server.

You people seem to missunderstand me. I'm not talking about role playing here, i mean why does every character spawn in civilian clothes, why not the fireman outfit, or the military gorka outfit. Why is it only "civilians" waking up at the coast, immune. Surely others must be immune and still in their Police uniform or fireman clothes... No?

Playing legit and how the game should be played is not stashing/hoarding as much as you can. People need to stop being so "gear fear", that is what's breaking the game in the first place. You can get fully geared (with what you think is fully geared) within 2 hours. If you like the military look just run through 3 MB's and your set. More of a hunter? Run through a couple of hunters lodges and your set. It's all pretty easy... until people start hoarding. They are afraid to loose their gear... Why?

I been thinking for a few days. Should we pitch in and have an official community server instead? I see two problems though, only one person can be admin and secondly, not everyone want's to play it the same way with rules etc.

Well.. I meant cosmetic. Why can we not spawn as a fireman with the full outfits or as a soldier in full outfit.

In what way will it impact you and dayz? It's a different game mode, made by a different team.

20? First off, Bohemia is NOT an indie studio. It's almost 100 people working on DayZ, then they got teams for Arma and Vigor. I'm guessing around 250 employees. Just because BI is selfpublished and go their own way does not mean they are indie and that just a few poor souls are working night and day to please us spoiled gamers.... The "hate" comes from paying customers who bought an unfinished product for full price, customers who get ignored, customers who gets the silent treatment. This industry is a billion dollar industry with false PR, lies and empty promises. Pre-orders being put up 1 one year before release to help fund the development, game previews and early access that basically mean that you pay money to beta test their product but without any real say or possibility to change the early stages in development. Now... All of us that are here, whining and argueing, spreading "hate", all of us are here because we care and love the game. 90% of us can stand the crashes, bugs, glitches and so on.... because we love the game. But for being there, helping out, paying to beta test, buying the game on several platforms, buying dlc and so on.. we atleast want transparency and communication. The silent treatment is far worse than to go out there and admit that you screwed up or that these features will be removed or no solution to this or that problem.. that would feel more like we were a part and most of us would accept and forgive. The fun part is that a lot of people (younger ones maybe?) and especially fanboys believe that game companies is a bunch of guys sitting around a small office coding and laughing all day, drinking jolt cola. This is an industry with team leaders, human relations, accountants, lawyers, ceo's, board of directory, bonds and so on. A corporation out to earn millions. Problem is, it will split the community. It's paid dlc if i'm not mistaken? In my mind i was wishing for cosmetics like different countries and thier camo complete with flag armpatches... but it won’t work since you don't spawn with them. Paying for outfits and then spend hours to find them sounds odd. Could it be a single player campaign? A co-op campaign? A game mode? (i know they said it's not survivor gamez BR). It can't be anything that puts you in advantage (pay2win) so it must be something outside the vanilla game.
