That’s upsetting to hear.

I agree. It's not like people all of the sudden, during an zombie apocalypse, start to dismantle cars and place parts all over the city. Why can't i pop the hood on any car and take a spark plug? Why can't i take gas from any car out there? The current state of the car physics and handling should encourage the developers to instead have fully assembled cars that you find and can hot wire.

Are they for sure doing a character and base wipe?

Yep. Clean slate. -
Why not pick a town in-land?
-
Ha! Best damn idea i heard in a long time. Unfortunally that would not cater well for the bambis, having fully geared hoppers pissed because they ended up on the beach...blood bath.

DayZ 1.0 is launching on Xbox One on March 27th!

I'm a bit curious... Create single player servers? How would that work? You join a server and then it's locked for the other 59 players? Maybe you mean OFFLINE mode. -
Woa... A lot of cars. Did not know you could duplicate cars, Wonder how that is done?
-
I'm not gonna adapt to all those points. It's better if the developers learn how to create a working car that might make it up a tiny slope.
-
Not good...
-
Ok.. Yeah i can see how they could work as mobile camps. Storage space is 300 slots, pretty decent.

Same issues with the X. The problem is optimizing and the lack of it. What bothers me the most is that the game ran silk smooth back in september last year. The developers keep adding shit (IMO) to the game like growing facial hair and the ability to shave, truck parts all over the place but no truck, iv kits with blood transfusion etc... Those things are clogging up the processor and memory. Who needs that now? Add things like that when you got a stable and smooth running game.
-
Hmm.. 3-4 cars? What do you need that many for? Yeah, obviously i'm doing it wrong. What i should be doing is server hopping and duplicating car parts.

New players. "what i wish i knew when i first started playing DayZ"

* while running toward your next goal, from time to time look over your shoulder/turn around. Someone might be following. * always follow your gut feeling, if it's to good to be true.. It usually is. * M4 with acog is easier to switch into scope than AKM, ump and Mosin (all three need LT and LB pressed.. Akward as fuck). * always carry rags or bandage, if you bleed you need them fast. * when pressing right d pad for Quick wheel, always pick your primary weapon on the default slot in green, this way you can easily switch to your weapon without moving around the quick wheel. * one of the best places (if not the best) in chernarus are the town of zelenogorsk. It has everything you need AND its the only town with a military base (semi large) connected to it. Hospital, Police station, fire station, bus station, rows of garages, civilian houses, several kiosks and a train yard. Basically everything you need can be found in and around zelenogorsk. (except spawning cars) * the best camo can be found West of zelenogorsk by a dam and a hunters resort with several huts. * when making a fire, i suggest you do it indoors and in buildings with an open fire place. Less visible and you can lock the doors with a lockpick. -
Tried assembly a car today... Holy crap that is some tedious work. Even with 3-4 guys each going in seperate directions to find all parts it could take a week. Every single one of you that have a running car have stood out side a row of garages and server hopped right there. What the developers don't understand is that THEY encourage this behaviour by making the game too unlogic. RNG spawn is shit really. Lets say i find a spawned car in pavlovo. It's missing 2 tires, sparkplug, radiator, battery and need two jeep cans of petrol and water and 2 cans of oil. So i jog to zelenogorsk and check all those garages (guessing roughly 25 around the city) and find 1 tyre and one car battery. Next town with more than 3 garages are myctovbka and after that its vybor. Lets say i find 1 more tyre in those two cities. Now i'm carrying roughly 80 slots (large backpack) with 3 items out of 9 and I need to go back to the car to dump off these parts. This is 3 hours worth of looting/jogging. And 3 cities that i now know don't have any of the other missing parts. Where to next? Chernogorsk? Elektro? Another 4-5 hours and I might find jack shit. All while the car is just sitting there... ready to be hijacked from someone that have the missing parts but have not managed to find a car because they are spawnable and very random even with the help of the app. Nah... Don't like it a bit.

Yeah, like rain ponchos. And we need to be able to have layers of clothes...kinda silly that it's one top/bottom and thats it.

LOL! Yeah talk about exaggerating. I was almost ready to build an ark.

Yeah, weekly/monthly dev streams are what i like. Hope to see more

New players. "what i wish i knew when i first started playing DayZ"

Sounds like a great idea. We need the mods though... -
A question i been meaning to ask but never got around to it.... Until now. The server reset seems odd really, it does not seem to do much. Everytime i get the "server restart in 2 minutes" i usually check what server i'm on and rejoin once it's up again, but it does not happen much, the stuff i threw on the floor is still there, no new spawned items. Too me, all the reset does is closing all open doors. When do the server really reset? Or is that a wipe only thing? When do the servers get a real reboot /back to default? In the beginning i thought the server reset really reset everything to default and cleared cache/memory to work flawless and stable but it does not seem that way? Any devs care to explain?

Got hold of a car today, in the forest. The 4x4 ada are as much offroad as a F1 car... What a fucking joke. It couldn’t even reverse up a slope. Got stuck in every tree and every little bush. Left it and never looked back. Great 4x4 features..... It's beyond me how the devs can't even fix simple car physics and collision.
-
Agree 100%. The devs are a bit too extreme with everything in the game. Especially the cars..
-
That is a great idea Chris, i agree 100%.
-
That would be fucking sweet.
-
I asked what others hoped for, not a smart ass that answered every point i listed like i should care.

More than 5 years you mean?
