  1. that looks like a realistic roadmap.

    im quiet humble about my hopes. Im hoping for a bow. meybe an axe would be usable longer than now. and i hope the birds come back. remember them fying out of the bushes when you moved trough or nearby them? for me they where most imersive. i think small wildlife would contribute a lot of atmosphere. i allready see myself trying to hunt down blackbird 😄

  2. Is somwhere out there a Team Spawn Mod, or a buddy spawn mod.

    I imagine it like so: first you have a nice little UI where you join a team or a group of two. kind like the one you got in arma. if done so, if one dies, you spawn in proximity of the surviving one. maybe in a distance you can hear each other when you speach.

    the benefit would be: i coud convince my lazy ass gaming friend to play Dayz again. and since i havent too much spare time, we could have some nice little team runs. i also imagine it would give i nice little new dynamic. like the surviving one trying to help aut a freshspawn nearby, but inland. maybee in the woods. or still fighting off the wolfpack that killed his friend in the first place.

    i am aware that there is a zSpawnSelection mod. which is nice, but its not the thing i want.

    since im not a modder or a programmer im lacking the skillz do do it my own.

  3. Yesterday i roamed around in livonia. i view things i asked myself:

    -Why can't i get some bark off a tree with a hatchet?

    -Why cant i wash my hands in the river?

    -Why do i get salmonella if i had washed my hands just bevore drinking of a vell on the vell?

    and something prevented multiple characters from geting a new jacket or vest on. i tried, from ground, from hands, empty, my charakter naked.

    and due to the fact i died the last 10 times i played from salmonella and puking, i think it might need a tiny bit of balancing there. i mean it should be survival but i mean its not the "salmonella simulater 2021"

    in other concerns i think the experience in vanilla over all gets better and better. thanks for keeping the work up!

    I would argue it has a reload button, as you can acces your matching ammo with a direct access slot, and hold it for long.

    That said, it gets a bit trickier when you have to first load a mag with ricochets and then to a rifle. Otherwise, if you like easy PVP you might reconsider your Game choice 😄


  5. i purchased the livonia map for dayz and thougt i could also play the livonia map on Arma. but my computer says no.

    is the map exclusevly for dayz or is there a chance to play it with arma?

    somehow im unable to find it for arma...

    thanks for some advice!


  6. looking forward to find a server with setRespawnMode enabled! i guess that will help me convince a certain friend to rejoin the game. because its pretty impossible to have a nice evening with a buddy run, without two days prepearance of getting to the same location.  only to log in and die of some stupitidy and then just having a solo gamenight with teamspeak conversation.

    is there a way i can find such servers? will this be a available filter on the server search mask?

     


  7. You guys schould really include bicycles!

    when a weel is damaged you can still drive but with more expense on stamina. there would be weehls and lights to gather. and with a rope and burlapsack you could craft bags on it. a prestine one is nearly silent an damaged one makes a quieky noise...  one would get better and better with stamina on the bicycles.

    today on my bike a saw a fellow ciclyst in the mornig fog, lonesome driving troug the cold, and it just popt in my inner eye like a vision.

    im sure im not the first one, but neitherless, one vote more for bicycles!


  8. Could someone make a mod for Dayz whrer you could play it like Warlords in Arma3?

    so you would need to clean out the map from infecteds, village after village. with prettymuch the same gameplay mechanics like warlord in Arma3.

    that would be a howl lot of fun, you could even spawn with your friends in teams in the same location. and because youde be more in the same location on the map there could be more invected in the villages your trying to clean out.


  9. i had a magic backpack. one of these big blue mountain backpacks.

    when you double cklick items in a infectet it jumps at the bottom of the backpack. this is most convinient. but its not fun if you cant scroll down in the invetory of that backpack.

    so all things i needed where locked in that lowest slots of that big mountain backpack. this was one of my most creative death reasons 😄

    you may want to look into that

     

    oh, and is it true that in stable everyone shoots you, and in experimental everybody likes to have a chat? i guess i stay in experimantal then 😄


  10. im still getting this GI flickering at Dusk or Dawn. Yesterday when i logged out i had the same flickering in the Menu screen. so i tried some various graphic settings with the live preview. but i could not find a seting that would change something in the favor of the flickering.

    whats the easies way to make a video of the ingame graphic? so maybe i can catch the effect to show you guys.

    also i had a lot of fun with a little barbecue. i like the longer burning and glow time.

    i could not wear a military jacket, not shre it was because it wasn't the newest anymore.

    and a light military jacket, the one to wear under wests, was decleared waterproof but got me soken wet in the rain. maybe you look into that too.

    apart from that, the game feeling gets better and better with every update. great job!

I believe it is due to the game getting confused about what should/should not be casting a shadow when the sun is low, so shadows will flick on/off (or rather between two locations) in an unnatural way. It also seems to react to camera angle, by using free look you can pan around and make shadows flick on and off depending on where you look. This also applies to other light sources. I believe there are several tickets already on the feedback tracker.

    yes, this is pretty close to what i expirienced. but i was on a open field near a forest, and the lightened part of the ground flickered. it was really just when the sun got up behind the horizon. i think there was even a forest between me and the sun. so maybe the trees forced the flickering.

  12. yesterday i had a problem getting short sticks in to my hands. when i splittet them to just one at the time it worked. so i was kind of busy getting sticks to my campfire.

    shouldnt i be able to open a can with a stone knive? just asking.

    and i kinda wondered why i would find a car-cooler spawning in the middle of a fieldstreet.

    also at dawn mi GI was flickering, you might wanna look into that.

    and on experimental and on stable livonia dlc it seems a bit to harsh how damn fast a fully eaten stomach is empty so fast. i understand you would up the hungriness a bit to force mor of a food hassle, but it seems a bit to strong and "unrealistic" in means of. once we hat way much more time to find something to eat.

    and i second everyone on the night topic. if there is a way to get more bouncelight an speculars from the moon, id prefer that.

  13. Oh, almost forgott.

    i hope in the near future there will be some little improvised shelter posibilities. maybe a little shelter that one could craft out of a view long sticks and some bushes or animal skin or tarp.

    maybe that could be leaned on a tree or a rock. or you would be able to dig a little trough, or hole.

    just some sort of mini base that would fit the needs of a lonley wolf.

    so one could build some stealthy mini bases.

    and it would be nice to be able to craft a net, out of some ropes. two, maybe four ropes, i guess thats up to the balancing of the game.

    so one could also make some ghilly nets with addition of some foilage for the mini shelter. that would be neat.

    so again, see you next year!

  14. every time a Zed attacks me, after one attack my knife drops on the ground. is this a bug or on purpouse?

    i hope you fix the issue with the items that cant go directly into your inventory ASAP. this is most game braking. its awfully silly that one has to take the items first ino his caracter hands and then into inventory.

    i like the agressiveness of the Zeds so far. it isent anymore a walk in the park when i enter a village, thats great!

    and i like the lush foliage and the new sounds in livonia! great job! also it feels like the villages are more realisticly arranged, it fels great to roam through them!

    i crouched i a little bush and two Zeds really just sumbled over me and did not detect me. so now im not shure if this is a bug or if my stealth crouching skills are just superior 😄

    I pretty much like to second that. an artificial light source should be a great benefit if you have one. in therms of orientation and finding stuff to loot. when there in none u should have not really a chance to find loot on the ground. you should only be able to see silouetes of things standing around you, for example bushes, to create a pointed stick and stuff.

    so it would be crucial to have a light source. and you should be able to spot an other light source as far as you can see. so that would be a pretty good setting for some nice player ancounters.

    im not sure about how the Zeds should be reacting, in terms of distance, to light sources. maybe they should not be able to aggro on them. but more slowly gather on them like moths. or little childs around a well litten christmast tree. And only when they see then a player in the actual light, they aggro.

    maybe some top loot should only be available at night. all them fancy rifles. and you had to tease the zeds out of bases with light. idk.

    im just thinking out loud.
