Starting off with a full stomach

I started playing shortly after the game was released, when there was food and loot everywhere. After awhile of seeing no forward progress with the game my friends and I moved on. I heard it was about to hit Beta so I figured I would jump back on.

I actually did not think people would want to make it more difficult...but anyway I added the option.

Starting off with a full stomach

I know people will be against this but here it is. As players know, whenever you spawn into a server you automatically start out nearly starving, and dehydrated. You have roughly 20-30 minutes to fill your stomach (3-4 cans of food) otherwise you die of starvation. Most of my deaths from DayZ have come from starvation or exposure, I don't even have to worry about infected or other players because starvation gets me long before they have a chance to. One of the biggest reasons my friends and I stopped playing the game a few years back was that we would all die from starvation or exposure before we could even link up. I have been trying to pick the game back up but when your character starves to death in 25-30 minutes, it makes the game very difficult to play let alone enjoy. For the people saying "get gud skrub", you probably spawned in on a server reset where loot was everywhere, where as I am spawning in when there is literally no loot anywhere! My latest life had me spawn in right next to Berezino, where I looted the entire southern part of Berezino I could only find a shotgun with no ammo, no melee weapons, no food and no water. The end result was death by starvation. So with that being said, this can be remedied by either; A) Starting players off with a full stomach, B) Make food spawn more frequently or C) Slowing the rate of your hunger and death from starvation. I am curious to hear what you all think.

    The P-38/P-51

The lanyard idea would actually be pretty good because you could also store keys on it and other small trinkets you find around Chenarus

    The P-38/P-51

The P-38 and P-51 were can openers given to the US Military with their canned rations so they could open them. The hole on can opener is where most GI's put them on their dog tags. Nearly every military had a variant of the P-38.

    The P-38/P-51

While large can openers can be a pain to find sometimes, they double as both melee weapon and can opener. My thought would be to have the P-38/51 can opener be a reusable item, but have it only open cans, cut cloth, and shave bark from trees. These small can openers work wonders for backpackers and realistically would be found all over Chenarus, so have them spawn more frequently than the large can opener but limit what they can do. What are you thoughts on this?

Base Building - What would you like to see?

I like the idea of being able to fortify existing buildings, which occupying would stop loot and zombie spawns. Like being able to tear down chain link fences and set up a perimeter around your camp or craft some type of fence. I also like the idea someone else had where you can use burlap bags and dirt to make sandbags.

    Introduce yourselves

I started playing the game a few years ago when my friend introduced it to me. We played for awhile but the game got stagnant with no real updates or forward progress. I just started playing again after I saw it was close to Beta. Still has some issues from when I quit playing a few years back but hopefully the Dev's will lock that down with the next update.
