    Puking After Eating/Sprinting

I think this is the perfect way to counter the "stuffed" status, I know after I've eaten a big meal the last thing I want to do is to sprint. Maybe a light jog perhaps but nothing too major. I think that sprinting in short bursts is okay but long extended periods of sprinting lead to the effect of collapsing and puking ones guts up.

    Hexi Stove

Something to consider adding to Military Locations is a Hexi stove. This small portable stove is a 1 slot item and is considered the smallest cooking stove, easily capable of fitting in the back pocket of some trousers. It can only contain a single food item in addition to it's fuel which can be hexamine tablets or simple kindling. It was once common equipment amongest soldiers as a personal cooking stove suitable for an individual in the field for heating up their field rations but can be used to cook food, albiet only a small scale.

    Insanity from the player

I would imagine at a much later date, one would be inclined to find an animal companion to at least interact and talk to. It might not be a human but there have been records of hermits and loners keeping animals as company to at least interact and talk to, at least to maintain their sanity.
  4. This I can vouch for, most common Cement bags are at least 25 KG each and are easily able to be carried by a single person. If anything you could easily stuff 75 KG (three bags worth of cement) into a backpack no problem and carrying it would be a breeze. Sheet metal is also not that heavy that a single person can carry it, granted some are quite heavy however I don't really see a practical application to adding something THAT heavy to a game like DayZ. More over, in the game "The Forest" the character you play there is an even bigger badass by carrying two whole logs on his shoulders and still being able to sprint no problem. I'm not going against all of your ideas though, the idea of a multi-player dependant action does sound nice, such as being able to give a player a lift over a rock or a wall, drag a player or even carry an uncouncious or dead player. For those requiring two people, perhaps allow them to pick up items in world that would require two people. Some examples I can think include: Stretcher - Found in hospitals/ambulances, they can be used to carry another person without further risk of damage (carrying a person on your shoulder for an extended period can make their situation worse) OR be used to carry more equipment (such as multiple filled up backpacks)Storage Crate - In world you could come across a number of storage crates, they can be moved by players to a more secure location but require two people to move them.A large weapon - When vehicle weapons are added, for example a Heavy Machine Gun, I could imagine it would take two people to carry the weapon itself as most HMG's are crew served by at least 2-3 people (2 to carry the weapon itself and another to carry the ammunition)

    Specialized Vests

Also Jackets, which could have slots provide similar benefits to a Raincoat: Also, in regards to the Hunting Vest, to make it standout alongside the Fishing Vest I think you should be able to store loose ammunition in the vest without it taking Inventory space as some shooting vests have loops for carrying shotgun shells and rifle bullets like this one:

    Bambi inventory

I like the idea of spawning with random items more and more, it seems strange you always have a flashlight and a battery so why not spawn with something different. Like many have said some miscellanous items would be grand to spawn with, perhaps in the modern world they would have served a purpose but perhaps in a survival situation you can repurpose them in some way. Lets have a look at some: Cellphone/Mobile Phone - While somewhat useless in an apocalypse, these could be broken down into basic electrical compenants that once crafting is finalised could be an element in crafting in the future (such as IED's and scavenging electrical compenants). They could also be fully charged and function in the same way as a flashlight or glowstick albiet with the need to add a 9V battery.Wallet - These would be function in their own way like a container in my eyes, although they'd primarily hold things like Coins, Paper Money and Cards. Paper money could be used as improvised kindling, Coins could be used to make an improvised fishing lure (if they are shiny enough) or be melted down into something more usuable and Cards could function in some way in the future as a crafting element.Lighter - If you were to spawn with a lighter it would propose a major advantage to some but as an option it would be extremely rare. I think it would have to be one of those disposable lighters, they start at a random percentage on spawn so they only have X amount of uses before they are thrown away.Keyring w/ Trinket - I sa "Trinket" as a keyring with a metal trinket could be fashioned into a makeshift fishing lure.Watch - Whether digital or classic, a Watch could be used not only for telling time but also taken apart to make a variety of thingsHard Candy - Small hard candy or sweets, few in number and not a substational meal by any means but at least it could provide a short term "energized" statusPaper - Sometimes you always seem to have paper in your pockets, old notes or reciepts, either way you could use them for kindling or leave a message if ya find a pen.Cigerettes - Ya never know if someone was a smoker, you can smoke ya self to death or use 'em as kindling.Pocket Knife - A rare chance to spawn and if it does it should be in my opinion, damaged. Not really worth as a weapon but it could be used for skinning a rat or something

    More traps

I like the idea of having more traps but I think it could do with having a few which are fairly easy to make: This link shows off some great animal traps: http://survivalgearup.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/how-to-make-traps-and-snares-for.html And here's a simple trap idea involving Nails and Duct tape: Place these near a door way or entrance and watch players damage themselves as they walk over a floor covered in nails

Should there be more gun holsters?

Perhaps in the future players could craft custom holsters from pieces of animal leather, I'd love to being to have a holster for carrying a Sawn off Shotgun or an Obrez, heck even a Sawn off Repeater when it's possible.

    rethinking the ak family

I still think you shound be able to find a Side rail for both the AKM and AK74 but it requires you have a screwdriver to attach it.

    Improvised Vehicles

I hope that one day we'll be able to build our own home-made vehicles using scrap parts. Anything is possible, even this Ukranian guy made a home-made gyrocopter out of what I can only assume is a combination of a lawn mower engine and parts from scaffolding.
  11. Didn't Ruger also release an M77 that can chamber and load .357 Magnum ammo? And I'm leaning general more towards Civilian and Hunting Firearms Anyway, I'm also pushing for my own little list: Mosin Nagant M38 Carbine - Bolt Action Carbine version of the popular full size Mosin Nagant, can take most attachments the full size mosin can but shorter length leads to slightly less range.Vz.83 Skorpion - .380 ACP Skorpion, would likely spawn in Police Stations or Military Buildings, comes with 20 round magazines or 30 round magaiznes. Stock can folded or unfolded (folded allows a much more compact weapon, allow it to be stowed easily in storage but at the cost of less controllability)Browning BLR 81 - Lever Action .308 rifle that uses 4 round rotary magazines, spawns primarily in Residential AreasMolot Vepr 5,45 - A semi-automatic rifle based on the RPK design, this version is adapted for 5,45x39mm ammunition and uses its own 5,45x39mm vepr magazines which hold 5 or 10 rounds. (Not sure if it can take AK-74 magazines but for gameplay purposes I don't see why it shouldn't)TOZ-122 - A popular russian .308 bolt action rifle, somewhat of a modern hunting rifle compared to the Mosin 91/30Taurus Model 62 - A .22 caliber pump action rifle that holds 14, .22 LR rounds. As it's a pump action it uses a tubular magazine and therefore beats the Ruger 10/22 in terms of usuability right off the bat but fails in regards to attachments.FUBAR Wrecking Bar - Heavy large tool used for demolition purposes, functions similar to the Sledge HammerHeavy Wrench - A heavy wrench normally seen in Automative shops, it's a two handed blunt weaponEntrenching Tool - A military issue Entrenching Tool, Russian version resemble a shortened shovel while US versions (found at Crashsites) are foldable and can be further compacted. In addition, US E-Tools can be adapated to use a shovel or a makeshift garden hoe)Folding Knife (Buck or CRKT) - A simple folding knife with a 3-4" blade, hunting and camping types can be found in Residental areas while tactical models can be found in Police and Military Areas.TNT - Modern Demolition Grade TNT, designed to deliever maximum explosive force with minimum fragmentation.Scissors - Simply lightweight metal scissorsCompound Bow - Powerful modern hunting bow. Can only use Composite arrows and has options for a specialised bow sight (range dots), Stabilizer (which reduces bow sway) and a quiver attachment (so it functions similar to the Crossbow, hold 6 arrows on the weapon itself)Gallery

    Consuming Zombie Flesh

I would imagine eating Zombie flesh would be quite toxic when raw (even extracting it could lead to a disease) and cooking it leads to similar effects to cannabilism in addition to high chance of disease. Eating Zombie Flesh would of course involve some heavy effects, some I could think of is that while it wont turn you into a zombie it might as well just be a more painful way to day. Here's how I look at it: Ingesting Zombie Flesh Within the first few minutes of ingestion, subject feels nausous and experiences uncontrolled shaking (blurring vision and shaking hands) Subject begins to convulse after a few more minutes, resulting in Vomiting, subject will frequently pass out (even at max blood and health level) Subject will vomit blood (therefore dropping their blood level) Subject will fall uncouncious (where their health level will rapidly drop) Subject will then expire

    Bows, bows and bows.

A recurve bow in my opinion is a must, something that offsets the traditional home-made variant with a modern variant you can find in Resident Areas. For the longbow I think it should be something like an upgrade for the Ashwood Short Bow, using more refined materials in some way to boost it's effectiveness. Like of like how you can upgrade the courier with wooden sticks, I think the ashwood short bow should become a long bow when using more refined materials. The benefits I believe would be more range and more power. I don't think we need a Reflex Bow nor a takedown Bow, rather I think we should be able to take down an Ashwood Short Bow into it's basic form to allow us to fit it back into a backpack. A compound bow is something that would be nice to have but I'd imagine it would be a rare residential spawn, you can only fire composite arrows from it though and it would be the most powerful of the bows with the longest range, in addition you can actually fit a sight to the compound bow in addition to a stabiliser, to make aiming at a distance far easier but at the same time they require more delicate handling as they are perhaps the most "complex" of the bows and require specialised means in repair. Take this image for example of a description of a modern Compound Bow: Here it's outfitted with a stabiliser (which reduces sway and improves accuracy), quiver and a marksman sight (which gives ranges allowing you a better chance to judge where the arrow might land)

    MRE Food

While I'm not against the idea, MRE's are often very Western orientated, being primarily in use by US armed Forces and would be a bit strange to find them in a Eastern European Army Barracks. However perhaps Ration Packs from other nations could be considered, Like the Russian or Ukranian Army Ration. In addition to this, most games depict US MRE's and other rations as single use items. Perhaps instead they can be like the actual MRE and have a larger list of food inside them. For example, a standard US MRE holds Main courseSide dishDessert or SnackCrackers or BreadSpread of Cheese, peanut butter or jellyPowdered drink mix: fruit flavored drink, cocoa, coffee, tea, sports drink and dairy shakeUtensilsFlameless Ration HeaterBeverage mixing bagAccessory pack:Chewing GumWater-resistant MatchbookNapkin / toilet paperMoist toweletteSeasonings, including salt, pepper, sugar, creamer and tobasco sauceSo MRE's actually contain quite a few items and it would be a shame if they were just one use items, it would add immersion and make MRE's an excellant food source if they are extremely rare. Russian and Ukranian Rations packs often contain more food in them compared to MRE's but are large and bulky, somewhere between 4-5 canned tins worth of food (primarily beef and pate), ontop of dry crackers and some beverages (usually powdered mixes) as well as a vitamin tablet (which is apparently common in most Rations Packs made in post soviet countries) In addition I could see US MRE's spawning at Chopper Crash Sites while other Ration packs like the Russian or Ukrainian Army Rations can spawn in regular Military buildings. The downsides between the two would be evident, you have the Russian/Ukranian Ration which is quite bulky and takes up alot of space in the backpack or the US MRE which is nice and compact and doesn't take up as much room.

    camo face paint

You could apply charcoal from fires as a makeshift face paint and perhaps find some military green face paint
  16. Draco122

    Mortar!

I wouldn't mind finding some Mortar rounds to use as in crafting recipes for improvised explosives, but I wouldn't mind having Mortars as static objects which can be found in world. You wouldn't be able to use them but it would add some background flavor to some of the military buildings. As for Mortars themselves being used I'd prefer using an improvised mortar, something like this, a single barrelled shotgun, firing blanks to launch improvised grenades. Currently examples of these are seen in Syria where rebels are using them as short ranged, improvised mortars.

    Bow Drilling

Something I thought about having as a re-usable way to light a fire even if you don't have matches and thats the Bow Drilling Technique. The way I imagine bow-drilling working in DayZ Standalone is this, it's a chance based system, there's no 100% guarantee your gonna start a fire in one hit, it may take several tries until you can light the fire but it's re-usuable and you don't need to find matches in order to light a fire. In addition, something I was taught was that each time you use it, you do get a little warmer (as your working your body harder to light a fire, therefore warming yourself up). To make a bow drill, best items I can imagine making it is some rope, Sticks and some firewood which would give an option to make a bow drill

    Mousetrap + Rats/Mice

Something that I thought about is the addition of Rats and Mice which could be found in Forests or occassionally found roaming the many areas of villages and towns. They could be killed for food, offering a small if somewhat basic meal for a starved survivor. Granted eating a rat isn't exactly healthy and runs the risk of catching something but if your starved for food then it might be all you have. Then I thought what if you could find a Rat/Mouse Trap in residential areas. It would be a simple trap you can lay, wait around a bit and get your meal. It can be set-up and re-used again and again, It can be set-up using something as bait, some fruit (even rotten fruit) could be used as a potential item for bait.
  19. A simple suggestion and possible addition for AK rifles is the addition of Taped Magazines using Duct Tape, Jungle Style! Seeing as AK rifles doesn't posses the same attachment as the M4A1 (known in-game as 30 round STANAG (coupled) it would be cool to duct tape two identical magazines together to create Taped Magazines. It can work for AKM Magazines, AK74 Magazines and hopefully in the future even RPK magazines. As well as an idea to change the way Taped Magazines and the 30 round STANAG (Coupled) for the M4A1. Instead of a constant 60 rounds (which is incorrect) it would instead function as a speedloader. Once equipped on the weapon, it will allow an additional rapid reload even if you don't posses any other magazines in your equipment loadout.

    Liveable Shipping Containers

I don't like the idea of moving them, simply because I think most of the cranes in Chernarus are devoid of any power if they even work and it would be kind of pointless as well. As for living in them, I could see it happening

    Edible Pumpkins

I am curious how much space Pumpkins would take up? a 4x4 slot? They can be pretty big
  22. Draco122

    Potental sawed off-able weapon: M79

I would think that a more suitable choice for a grenade launcher in DayZ would be this: A standalone version of the GP series Grenade Launchers commonly seen on AK pattern rifles. I could see it spawning in police and military Zones although you'd only find explosives ammunition in Miltary areas
  23. Draco122

    TNT/Dynamite

What with the new "Kamensk mines" add as of 0.50 I thought what sort of loot could be found at a mine besides building materials, then I thought what about as a rare loot spawn, Dynamite or TNT. See a video of the mines here: It would require something as an ignition source, in this case matches (lighters haven't quite been implented yet). Dynamite sticks would vary in size from a 1/4 stick to a full stick of dynamite and can be thrown like a regular grenade, except the explosion is generally smaller while TNT would be similar to Satchel Charges and require more compenants to use, such as a blasting cap, remote detonator and a working battery to use but have similar destructive power to remove most obstacles
  24. Draco122

    Hoods

I also thought it might be possible to include variants of different clothes, perhaps for example you could find a raincoat with an attached hood already raised at the cost of both a torso and a head slot. Just a thought
  25. Draco122

Just sharing a pretty interesting hybrid/DIY gun

While an interesting concept, I think it would go beyond the levels in terms of crafting as it seems like a very complex build and I would imagine firing live rounds through the system would likely hurt alot. More over I think in general a "Drilling" type weapon, a shotgun/rifle combo is more suitable such as the Blaser D99
