    Indeed that tower models look nice but I would like to know about mechanics. Well.. from you answer I can understand that it is yet not being deeply worked on (In terms of mechanics). I need a fresh Hype! :D

    I would like to know how this mechanics are going in terms of development. We did not have anymore info regarding all this stuff. This video was from 2015 and Base building is one of the more cool things that are coming, give us an state update please?? -It is posponed until other features are finished? -Is the team working on parallel for implementing this mechanic or it is just postponed until new animation system is in? -Can we have a sneak peak? ;)

    I am sure that these types on events will come to Dayz once Beta will be released. Right not they have to tackle a huge ammount of improves and bugfixing with the new technologies that are going to be applied on the next patches (0.62 and 0.63(player controller)). For sure we will have this with modding support, just take a look at the arma 3 mods.

    Yeah that it the most positive thing about 2016! They've improved A LOT. Good job devs, just release vehicles on stable for more love ;))

    I did not have any crash on this build. The only crash i had so far is the classic memory error after exiting the game. One of my friends had crashes by using the x64 launcher so it seems that these types of crashes are still appearing with some setups.

    I doubt it... I think it could be related with the server network management, If the server is not updating correctly the status of you character it could be also failing on activating the trigger that invokes the wolves pack when you enter certain zone. The sounds you've heard could be provoked by deers, now they groar on the distance. From my experience if you hear the wolves, they are coming to hunt you for sure(from the info obtanied from stream videos). Regarding winchester ammo, it seems to be very very dificult to find, I've just found 20 rounds on my entire weekend trip.

    I've found wolves and winchester ammo yesterday on the north towns on the east of tisy. Wolves appeared just in the time i've logged in. Maybe there is an issue with the trigger of them (maybe related with the character status not working), because on the previous season (where I had the bugged status) i did not had any encounter after walking trought the entire north, and when i've relogged I heard them growling next to me.

    I had a long play season this weekend and the performance was nice! Not even a crashe occurred for me. I had a TON of fun, killed two guys, fought with a lot of zombies, being attacked by a pair of wolves and finally being killed in tisy base due to a rambo style combat....AMAZING, THIS PATCH IS JUST AMAZING DEVS! Issues found: Just two that can affect the player experience: -The player status was not updating properly, it remained stuck until you relog. (known issue) -Zombies are not aggroing as they should (they took a lot of time to aggro.) -I could not pick up some gloves on my char (maybe because my char already had gloves on server side but not on client side) Keep on with the great job devs! thanks a lot for this holiday present!

    Plans to keep DayZ pure?

    If dayz vanilla almost died it is because people do not want to play it. There is a little part of the community looking for extreme hardcore experience, I think that this is why few people still plays this kind of servers. For example, me and my friends have a community of survival and hardcore servers and we've opened one A3 server with superhardcore features, we failed so hard assuming that people like to have a difficult experience but we were mistaked. The actual fact is that most of the people is looking for a funny game and the best part of Dayz is the "Im going to loose everything, I'm pissing my pants" experience, why restraining people to one type of gameplay if they are looking for other type. Dayz was created as a sandbox world in where the stories are made by players, I think it is really positive for you guys that people will use your game for creating this "weapons everywhere, safezones...etc" servers. Well apart from my opinion I understand your point, for people like me It would be better to have a fast loot server as I have so little time to play due to work.

    I don't even understand why people complain about modding... Variety is good, you will also have the vanilla servers with the hardcore survival experience. Modding is the beggining of Dayz (Dean began his career as an arma2 modder) , I do not understand this people complaining about this feature that is only positive for the Dayz fans.

    Modding will rock so hard when it'll came out!! @Hicks_206 (DayZ) just one question, where do the infected will spawn with the new dynamic system? just pop in the middle or the street or maybe tied to some type of structure?

    I agree with all of you guys. I've been following the news regarding dayz SA since it came out (I was a dayz mod player), and right now I feel a bit afraid that we get very few anouncements about the progress being made. Steam charts reflect this perfectly, the game needs new functionalities asap in order to keep us interested on it. I also think that the statement said by Hicks regarding when the beta would be released is impossible to achieve, acording to the speed of the new functionalities being merged. Hope to see new things soon, I am starting to loose my faith on the project.

    People who complains about the helicopters never have played Dayz Mod... Helis are the most funniest part of Dayz. I remember time ago when one friend and me stole one big choppa from some guys in the middle of a city. It was really awesome to plan it, my friend were the distraction to the guys, i was the one going sneaky and i was able to fullfill the gas of the hellicopter and pick up my friend at the top of a building. It was maybe one of my funniest situations i've ever had on Dayz. Who cares about someone finding your camp. The main principle of Dayz is to not get attached to your gear, so is like in real world, nothing is unfindable. Next time search for a safer or more hiden place... Helis adds a lot to the Dayz gameplay, they will add a lot of stressful situations trying to do your best to stole that chopper that you've looked landing 1 km to the north, also cooperation with maybe some other player to raid it.... Nothing more to add.. Helis are the essence of the long term Dayz gameplay, if someone does not agree, just play some old Dayz Mod server and have a great time! :D
  17. I would love that zombies could have a probability like 5% to infect yourself, so you'll need to take anthibiotics or something similar. If the zombie sickness kills you, you'll die and a NPC zombie would replace your character (with some ramdom items of your gear in his inventory). That would make zombies soooooo scary!
  18. This is exactly what I think. They need to provide more mechanics, more vehicles, wildlife and more objectives. Yesterday I was playing on exp. and suddenly I heard a car going through the city where I was. It scaried me so much, but it made me happy because I had an objetive ("to kill that guy and get his car..."). Vehicle nowadays are hard to get them work so i do not understand why people dont want more vehicles. Having more options will lead to a more interactive and funny game. In summary i dont think that the balance in the loot spawn would be the main point to do right now. We are playing an alpha release, we need more mechanics and things to do, of course loot balance is important, but not as other features like "surviving" on the wildlife in order to accomplish one objetive(vehicle, food, weapon, shelter or whatever).     This SR is wonderfull! so informative and interesting. I also love the "resolved" tickets for some issues. The only thing that I miss a little bit is a more detailed info regarding the player controller, but from my understanding it is in development right now (according to the viktor words). Nice work guys, keep with SRs like this one! Bestz!
  21. I don't get how base building could be included on Dayz, I mean, I love base building in dayz mod and also in arma 3 mods, but actually it does not make any sense to me. Yeah of course is a cool feature to build your own base but, what is the point about building it? I think that the neccesary features on dayz nowadays is to have more objectives, more dinamic events like helicrashes, more animals, more life on chernarus. Base building seems to me like a final feature to be added. For me the base building that could be viable would be to add cargo to a cow for example, like shoppers in fallout 4. We need more things to do on the map, not a place to be hidden until you get bored of the game. Nice discussion! ;)

    Q1: Which issues are more relevant from QA sight? Q2: How do you treat the issues reported on the feedback tracker from the planification point of view? Q3: Which tool and methodology do you guys use for tracking the issues? (ie: Jira, Scrum development...) Q4: Regarding the new features, do you guys take a loot at the several arma 3 mods in orden to know how they have implemented any kind of functionality? Thanks in advance!

    @SMoss Could you give us some info regarding the player controller implementation? Why this was pushed forward 0.61? It is being worked on parallely with the bugfixing of 0.60 or maybe with the 0.61 implementation or it is planned to work on later? Just curious about this feature because Hicks does not give any word about it on the last SR. Thanks in advance! Nice work with 0.6 devs!
