The vehicles will be an important and sensitive good in the future. However, the driving is a bit "aggressive" with the current controls. You have (W) to accelerate and shift for Turbo. This leads to the fact that you are always typing on winding roads with (W) ... one more, less, more, less ... to keep an average. Now my idea: it would be better to accelerate with (W). if you now press Shift or RMB the "power value of (W)" is kept, that means you have a constant power. Letting go of Shift or RMB will release the "Hold function". The turbo option would be eliminated, but that would not be bad. How do you see it ? (The function "Hold Power should be possible as a bindable button, actually a replacement for the Turbo). Add: The same with brakeing.

with W accelerating normally up to 100% With W + Shift you accelerate faster up to 120% The core or problem is only: with 1 key 0/1 simulate an analogue feeling. Not so easy when it comes to dynamics. -
I know this problem, at first I thought, oh the battery is sure to be empty soon. The further play, however, brought the realization. When the night is young and the darkness has not yet reached the "high point", then light sources appear very weak (this takes about 10-15min at time multiplier 6.2) ... then in the real night the light sources are good. The same thing happens when the morning comes, but it is there (I was in the east on the coast) less bad because the dusk gives more light, and the "weak light" of the lamp is not so noticeable. Whether it is intended or a bug .... I do not know.

Right, too. But that can only apply to tents and barrels as well as vehicles. How do you know without information or friends how to build a fence? Who knows, knows that there are problems with the persistence.

Again, I agree with you. Yes, for players with many hours of gameplay in DayZ, it's frustrating ... just easymode (? Ok .. there's a challenge ... because there's already mod's that disable the "survival effects" or make it easier ... those mod's out there it just because there are people for the DayZ already seems too difficult?!?). But to your text: The answer here is, yes, it's easy if you know how to make a fire. But... How many times does a player die of starvation / thirst or is killed ... until he knows how to make a fire, or just that it is possible. Because: There is no tutorial for DayZ, no tutorial, just nothing that shows you what is possible, how it works, how to find it out. If you buy DayZ and only play with the "BI manuals", you have chosen the biggest difficulty factor to get started. Everyone can only see the "real dayZ feeling" at the very beginning, no matter what BI does, with more than 1000 hours playing time this feeling can not be seen anymore. Now that DayZ is 1.0, now that many new ones are "trying it out" ... just this point in time would be the wrong thing about "Visitor or Interested Player" due to lack of cooking skills ... by dying of various diseases in the streets of Chernarus (imagine ... they try to defeat the disease ... and it succeeds ... and 5min later you die, because you are weak again raw meat ... because the solution, the "Wood / Rags / Fireplace / Astwood / Stick / Bark / Firedrill --> in short:cooking" because of the illness is forgotten) Therefore: The design of the map and the vision to have a hard coast and to lure players with better loot inland, this only works with players who already know the game with the basics. Creating a map where you always have reasons to move means that you can not find everything everywhere ... what the East offers you will not find in the West ... imagine it would be with the food / drink (wells ;-) ) like that Edit: I feel the same, I miss the claim of the hard world on the body, and I expect the influences back .... but ... It's right as described in SR, the diseases are ingame, only with the effects of audio. The real impact on the body is not yet activated. But that can have 2 reasons: 1) The effects of the diseases are part of the "Internal Damage System" that will be completed after 1.0. (Bone fractures are also part of this, this has been announced). 2) Now with 1.0 are a lot of "newer" players who would be very frustrated in DayZ, because there are many other conditions in the game that make it difficult for you in the beginning (If you know where the wells are, you have already won much .... because we did not know that at the beginning.) What this may reward is that the impact will be staggered in the future. Because in DayZ up to 0.62 it was not possible to be "twice sick". If you were sick of eating worms (food poisoning), then you could not get cholera until the first illness was gone. If the future includes graduated diseases then it will mean a whole different "play". (remember that you can transmit diseases). -
If I ever find anything to eat in a base .... then I will try to crack each one. The same goes for helicopters ... even if it's just the pilot.

Modding: Scripts....Maprotation....different Loot.xml.... modding of Textures (this are the most biggest part ! --> include assets ! ) And with 4-6 seasons will be nice. Here a old nice Idea: Big work for some alone, moderat for a team. Edit: The hardest part could be that the map must be exactly the same 1: 1 (texture names ect., All identical) so that the DB can handle it, and no persistent problems occur. (So only 100% of "looks" and "environmental variables" may be different).

Maybe there will be an "End of Year Report" and they call it that, then it will not fall under the usual Bi-Week SR's. Perhaps.

Right. But Hicks is no longer part of the team. So you can not insist on his statements. We have to take what we get. BI makes games ... games for leisure and not a "medicine" that will cure 1000 people from death.

1.0 Means the completion of the Core_Engine. This means that the foundation should be finished. Thus at this point there is still a lot of missing that we call "content" / "feature" / "balancing". For BI it is important at the moment that the future construction works. (Good example: Farming it works on exp. ... but purely without features ... it's a shell that does not get the finishing touches because of the Dev's focus ... yet). Talking is always easier than making a pyramid anyone can draw, a pyramid in statics can calculate only a few, and to build it requires many hands that understand their craft, oh yes, and time is still needed, right?

It depends on how they work. Civil Night Scene is usually based on "low light amplification" or "infrared view", which means that you just see something better. The military models often use the "thermal imaging technology" which gives extreme advantages especially at night. (you can almost protect yourself only by removing heat emissions -> go swimming and start to freeze ^^ and even that is not reliable) ... and do not fire your weapon... shots make your weapon visible (heat the barrel)

This will also be one of the main reasons to fix the server crashes. What the devs said with: to get a stable base of the game. What a crash has consequences, would be wrong to fix the consequences, but to fix the cause of the crash. Sometimes it's hard to understand.

It would be a very good thing if: The officials had an "anti24hour" time multiplier. (x1.3 or 2.25 or 5/7/9 something that makes the times dynamic over the days ... so time shifts every day.)

Basebuilding - How far Away? What's Coming? The Hopes and Dreams....

after seeing a few ideas and places of wild basebuilding, i noticed one thing. There are many places outside the civilization that would be a special feature of basebuilding. I mean all these places and places: Are uneven. Rocky environment Have steep slopes. For this, however, first a foundation* would have to be created which corresponds to a size of the base of the watchtower (3x3). The maximum height must also be limited to 2 (the height of a fence). *You need big stones, and cement from construction sites. (Maybe you have to do that first with boards and logs, a "construction frame", not a simple thing, but leaves very special constrictions open. An image as I imagine such a base plate / foundation in finished state. (what you do not see is that the plate is sunk about 2.5 in the ground to compensate for bumps) At this point, the option would be very good only a 1 wide fence (now they are 3 wide 2 high) There are many new possibilities (person door / bulkhead at gates or behind gates us so on) maybe just an idea for a modder ^^. -
The map has a very interesting landmass. To make this map fun and meaningful, it needs working boats.(connecting all islands with bridges would break much experience.) Until these are delivered by BI, it takes a while. This means for you that you can also take the time to design the map. Thumbs up for you.

Want to seriously invade a base with a home-made ladder? You know how dangerous and buggy the standard ladders in DayZ are. Since you can save yourself the trouble and press F11. If BI wont let you craft a ladder, then only because they do not want you to die. Smile ^^

At least it is that you can not steal material by mining bases. The obtained material despawn .... no matter where it is put down (barrel or tent).

Well, what do the players expect what they will find in a base? Tents full of special tools / ammunition / explosives / whiskey / cigarettes / cash / dog excrement bags or drugs ??? I think the smart player or the smart group will bury their "BEST VALUES" treasures in stashes and store them X times more secure than in easy-to-find bases. The best players will not let anything in a base that's worth so much effort. (at the moment the whole base building is not yet personalized, so it is always in the construction phase for all participants ... therefore they are not worthy of protection).

The problem with basebuilding is: It is not yet personalized. If you build it ... you can change it too / tear it off. The base elements are under construction for all players "Upbuild / Downbuild". In words: there is no status "base element ready" for the server yet.

Do you have that with all servers / characters or only with a certain character. You say it's like that with all your weapons .. so I suppose it's always the same character. If you can load one rounds, it seems like a banned magazine is already in the guns. Hast du das mit allen Servern / Charakteren oder nur mit einem bestimmten Charakter? Du sagst es ist so mit all deinen Waffen .. also nehme ich an, dass es immer der gleiche Charakter ist. Wenn Sie eine Patrone laden können, scheint ein verbugtes Magazin bereits in der Waffe zu sein. (Sry aber ich benutze eher selten Schusswaffen.. besonders jetzt wo das Gewicht zählt ^^ ).

Not only BI will be happy about new players, the whole Com. it will liven it up. (5 years of development have good sides too).
