Really appreciate your feedback dude. I’m not new in game but probably I don´t have the time and knowledge inside the official forums that some of you have, so this kind of observations are always welcome to discard an idea or Transform it in something possible and favorable to the game. Having said that, I must tell you that is kind of worrying the “toxicity” of some of the users in this forum, and I’m not talking about my post. I usually follow and comment other ideas / suggestions just to give some feedback to the guy that thought it could be a good idea and when I see other people that give their opinions seems to forget this is a place of thoughts exchange. Of course that if you make 10 post about “dead players become Zombies idea” or “make dayz a battleground without zombies” and that kind of things you should expect someone that tells you: “dude, what the f. is wrong with you?”. But I’m not talking about that. The other Dayz I read a post about sickness in Dayz. A guy makes a great job by posting ideas about the sickness effects, the different states and evolution of sickness, and tons of other stuff and 2 o 3 guys just post as a replay something like: “Quit this sh..t, this whole thing will be work on after the beta release” or “There are some other priorities right now” or a specific and disrespectful critic about some of the guys idea. This is a suggestion forum, it supposed to create a debate about ideas that could have some real application in the game (sooner or later). I don´t know why this community become so toxic lately.

Thx for the feedback. Ok... so you think they should remove the guns that spawn with ammo inside (Im talking about weapons with mags that already spawn with ammo inside)?

I don´t think players would stay on the coast 24/7 simply because you add a random bullet inside a shotgun or magnum (I don´t say all the spawning shotguns should have ammo inside and there are already guns with full mags inside so I don´t get your point). Having said that, let´s be honest, most of the players just go north on empty servers to do pvp in the NWAF or TISY. The public servers are almost empty at coast. - More chance to survive in the spawn locations and middle of the map and have something to fight when you want to hit the middle military bases. And the pvp and KOS are part of the game, you don´t have to whimper. - Simple add to enrich something to do in the coast and prevent server hopping players that walk the hole map on an empty public server and then jump to a full near the northern military bases. - If you want to talk about the lore inconsistences of the game we can discuss here the hole year. - Don´t take it so personal dude, I just want some feedback. Don´t know why you have to be so "toxic". If you want the devs send you the “hardcore true dayz player” medal because you play at north 24/7 on a first person only server and survive only by eating what you grow just say it, but that’s not what I’m talking about.

I think definitely more Server Admins Tools are needed in this game. You can´t control a lots of things with the actual logs and that’s a free path for hackers, KOS players (on RP servers) and glichers. Have my vote.

You are right and that thought applies to all suggestions because if they already estimate they won’t introduce any new item or feature until 1.0, I think no idea (simply or complex) could be implemented until then. But… we can dream and debate some ideas until then. 100% agree with you on modding and its consequences.

Amazing post and presentation dude. Having said that, here is my feedback: First of all, I think that a map expansion is definitely in the mind of the devs and players. We would need a bigger place when the base system is finally implemented. Finding people should be an exception in game to maximize the interaction when you finally do, making every encounter unique and not just random pvp and full gear guys everywhere. It´s true that tons of people think we play on the full Chernarus Map, being Cherno its capital. They forget the other major cities and the main one: Novigrad. I don´t think just one server can handle the hole map without performance issues, but a good system of hives between the regions could be a great idea. (Example: if you want to travel from Kamenka to the western city of Miroslavy – I say miroslavy because I don´t know the name of the whole region – and not spawn bambi, you have to delog in some check point or specific place – safe zone – and jump to another server in the same hive). Just a thought. GIT´s idea is also great. They can add the most amount of territory they can in one server without performance decrease. I think if we have the chance, the community could help expanding and developing the other map regions in some kind of “experimental” branch. Great post.

Thx for the feedback man, it really helps to get to my point. I`m gonna try to answer all your points with my arguments and I really don`t mean to make this personal or sound aggressive somehow. My English is not perfect so I apologize if its sounds that way (personal/aggressive). First of all, I think the “private hive” argument is a little unfair because if you bought a game (That sells in your country) that needs a regular (I mean regular, not perfect) server connection to even function, it is expectable that the game company should also provide you with that server to play in. You don’t have to pay the game and then also pay a private server or hive to be able to play. Having said that, in my first post is said that I understand this is an alpha game and this kind of things are expectable, nevertheless I’m not asking for a server in each country where Dayz it sells, I’m asking for a regional server just to play with decent ping and not suffer: desync, kicks, unrealistic gameplay experience, etc. The Dayz community in south America is pretty big and I sure is even as same as big than some of the countries and states that have public servers located there. Just see the public Australian servers, the Dallas servers, the Texas ones, the Atlanta, among others, they are empty 24/7. But, again, I think this shouldn`t be (and certainly isn`t because otherwise you can’t explain why they have tons of empty servers around the world) the main rule to place a public server or not. I 100% agree with you we (Argentinans in my case) have some real “technical difficulties” regarding to host servers because our “Third World” position in the globe, but not all the countries in south America have this kind of issues. Chile, for example, have a good hosting services (CSGO and LOL servers are a good example of this) and it could be a good possibility to a public server with language coincidence and a relative good proximity with the resto of the countries. I do not know either much about server hostings and what Bohemia can or can`t do, but I think is a possibility that should be consider. Regardint the Chart, you are totally right, I confuse when I open the “others countries” in the main chart of “dayz players by country”. But if you just add all the players of dayz in south America im pretty sure we double or triple the amount of players in New Zeland (Total population: 4,471 million just to give an example) Thx again for the feedback.

When you have the Shadowplay enable and working properly the game looks darker than normal and the software (shadowplay) records in at normal lightning. That’s why you need be able to move the gamma option even to see the crosshair. If you want the devs send you the “hardcore true dayz player” medal because you play at night time with weapon flashlights and a torch on a first person only just say it, but that’s not what I’m talking about. Im 100% support the idea of a fix for the gamma boost like in the Rust update, but unless you play on a roleplay server you are going to die in a matter of seconds if you do it on a regular pvp server at night time. Don’t be so naïve and don’t make it so personal. -

I agree man, but when you play in windowed mode (at least for me) if you do it on night time the gamma option locks, and you cant see a thing (adding that some times you need to hide the taskbar and you got some fps drops in the record too). Just trying to help. -

Why to use windowed mode when using shadowplay? There is an easy method to record full screen and without the lighting issue (even at night time) and without the partial screen issue. -

I will list my feedback for more organization and i think you deserve another answered that only “I don’t like your idea” or “this is not going to be possible”. The suggestions section is not only the to post “THE DEFINITIVE IDEA OF ALL TIMES”. Instead is there to make suggestions that, as a hole or taking some parts of it, could be a good idea sometime. 1) I think infections in game are a real possibility and should (and probably will) be in the game when the all the Dayz structure (the fundaments of the game) are close to the final stage. I 100% agree that we can´t say that we are “just immune” to the virus (poison, experiment, whatever the secret lore have for us) and this part of the history should be more realistic. Having said that, it could be a good idea to that every time we spawn we do it already infected (like with the hungry status) and we have a reasonable time to treat our sickness (this should be different that the zombie hit infection that I think it should be more difficult an “rare” to cure). Added to this, I think all dayz map should have more “potential contagion thinks”. Water of the plumps should have a % of infection probability, same as water from lakes, the sea and damage food. Cooking and boiling should be as important that raincoats are today to survive the hostile environment. 2) The great deal I think is in the implementation as you say. I’m not going to discuss the details (about the % it should have related to the chance of infection or the items that work for create a cure or treatment). Notwithstanding that, I think your examples of the stages are great ideas with the exception of the seventh stage (when you say “or player”). Maybe in some mod when time comes this could be possible, but I think this kind of things would reduce a little the seriousness that the game has. (Just my opinion to give you a feedback and I know the list is just an example). 3) Regarding to Player to player infection the idea of a variant of existing blood types is great. Dayz should have some kind of “cure searching” to give players clear objectives and to make the “medic rol” a more special, necessary and hard experience. Related to player to player infection the possibilities are infinite. You can get sick for sharing some clothes of an infected person, drinking from the same canteen as you said, even drinking from a Water Pump after an infected did it could lead to contagion. New systems of boiling clothes, syringes, etc. could be implemented to “clean” those kind of items. 4) Cures and Treatment: I said it ones and some other guys write about this too: there should be some kind of cargo plane crash or a dropped box of supplies hanging of a tree with stuff that’s not military but have the same or more importance. Your idea could complete this thought. This is related with your great idea that medic supplies should be as important that make the medical loot places hot zonas as the military are today. I hope they (Devs) have already thought about it because it would add a lot to the Dayz experience.

Shooting zombie while sprinting away from them

I understand what you mean and its a cool idea, but even gta 5 (with the fast movement it has) dont use that function. Instead, if you have a good player controller that allows you to stop and aim while you walk backwards, all that in less than 1 second, the idea of "shooting back" becomes useless. Im talking something like this: (Check minute 4:08 for example). Just my thoughts... xD -
I think this is related to the weight system that many topics discusses and it could be definetly posible to have more "speed / physics" in movement with the new player controller. Question: Did the actual dayz controller don´t have inertia? i think the game already havee quite some.

There are good ways to still use 3rd person and not be able to look through walls or windows when you stand by them. Dayz just need a 3rd person camara correction, there is no need to be black or white with this topic.

Hi men. I truly appreciate so complete feedback. Thx a lot. The hold breath idea: the possibility to hear your surroundings is an extra pro of this. Like you said, there should be a relation between time running / fatigue and the time you have that heavy breathing + the time you can hold your breath. Trading system: sure. I don’t want to make something too elaborated because I know the common answer to this suggestions: “There are some milestones that devs should work on first”. But I just want to plant the seed to know if this idea could be possible somehow, sometime. Regarding part 1 and clothing: I don´t really focus in the practical aspect of the clothes and that was a mistake. Thx for notice. I agree the clothing system must have a downgrade somehow and military and pristine clothes should be exceptional. Thx again for the great feedback.

Thx a lot dude. Nice! glad devs take on consideration some suggestions like this. I was watching some of your ideas (Wishlist) and some are amazing like the dirt system, blood trials and the world wide containers. I have almost finish the other 10 ideas to create the post for tomorrow so hope see your feedback there (or anywhere to discuss about this kind of improvements / changes / preferences about the game). I agree. I thought about signs and notes but i didn´t add it in this post. It would be really useful to have some nice and simple "note system" where you can write and nail signs in walls (you need to have nails and a hammer) with warnings and messages. They should have some short persistence to avoid spam (like 5 hours of persistence without any player read them or move them and reset if they do so). Thx again man.

I dont agree. Seems you never saw "bambi fights" or chamber weapons fights. If you make harder to go from fresh spawn to end game, the players will KoS like fresh spawns, chambering weapons or making "axe wars", stucking the game at that point. By the other side, the players with teammates at north, just evoid any interactión in the cost and walk about 1 hour straight to meet them and loot some equipment. KoS is the result of an emply roleplay objectives that dont come from the players itselfs. What the game offers for roleplay? objetives? rewards? features? Absolutly nothing. Only the experience that have each player with other players, not with the game it self. Im agree with Troll_Hunter and the focus idea to incorporate in the game more "higher goals" and "roleplaying achivements". Idea: Dayz standalone must incorporate new features and activities besside pvp combat and weapons looting. Things like: Crafting more things (weapons, attachments, clothes, facepaint, traps, bases, armor protections, armor personalization, etc) Just adding some achievements (steam) Some kind of system of reputation for goals and good/bad behavior Some pasive skills or skill tree wich restart if you die (like unturned) (Example: doctors) Cities or buildings repair (posibility to add lights, generators, etc.) Correct the looting economy (make more realistic) Buildings with realistic side and worn (it looks that dayz architects made builings for single mothers: 1 bedroom, short side bedroom environments, a few huge buildings; all in perfect conditions). If you are in a zombie apocalypse: would you make a base in the middle of the forest far away of any resaurces or you probably find a random huge building and set you base in one fo the floors, loking the doors and putting some barricade? -:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:--:-:- Why?: Anyone who plays Dayz knows there are 2 games in one: 1) The fateful road to loot, walking and chickens: you enter a server, you walk about 1.5 hours looking for some loot with nothing else to do, you gather some stuff and go to military loot, join with friends or just KAS in some mayor city or try to roleplay waiting some randome guy betray you. 2) Teamplay or just pvp: you have some decent gear or maybe not, but you have your team. It took you like 2 hours to join with them but there you are. Just play for about 15 minutes until a pvp rush in a hot zone and then one or two of your firends die and the game is over, to much work to start all over again, finding some weapon and rejoin. Or, you can win the fight, clear the city and then, kind of tired of no more players went to that city you travel and travel seeking for some action until you die (90% because of your pre existing boredom because you walk like 1 and a half our). I want the game have more than 2 games in one. First of all, thx for the feedback. We must remember that Dayz is a GAME and a game must entertain the player. Of curse i dont want to Dayz SA looses his realism and survival background. This kind of stuff can provide an extra game experience. You can meet teammates and check other players "reputation" by looking at his steam profiles and know their achievments. Example: you can identify a friendly guy and invite to play by cheking his "hero achievements". You can bring new objetives to the players (complete a full weapon, discover X part of the map, hunting achievements, crafting achievements, etc.). If you incorporate more features to the game but the players only loot and pvp, the game becomes monotonous and a huge demotivation for a) New players who dont know the game or have a team and they are killed in his first trip to a city b) Players with no full pvp intentions c) People who want to explote the game at his limits. But why not? In Dayz Arma 2 mod it was one of the leitmotivs of the game. To become a hero or a bandit, to be trusted or scared. If the game keep "not rewarding" actitudes and actions all the Dayz atmosphere of "survival, near extintión experiencie" is going to turn useless and empty, becoming what the game now a dayz is: a looting + pvp only. I do not mean clothes must change or have some kind of medall system, but if you can have some prize or different feature because of your behaivor (Example: you can use saline 2 times, you can paint your gun, your face go cleaner or dirty, or bloddy or not, your face hair grow and you have to hide from other players, just details, not a "ranked system") the game experience will incresses a lot. What a mean was the loot should be placed in spots that in real life we could expected to be. You dont find a coke or a battery placing on a bed, or a M4 in the middle of the street or bagpacks in the roof of a car. Cheking drawers, closet, gun stores,support-hunting weapon on the walls its what im talking about. You can extract car parts from existings cars, you can go to the near empty gunstore and fin some ammo. I think chernarus must become more functional and less a copy of asome book city. It´s means that there must be more "institutional buildings" or closes ones, where the light, even at dayztime, cant get in. All chernarus buildings seems to be "open to the public", with huge windows in each direction, no closes environments and 0 destruction in doors, walls, beds, etc. Houses, hospitals, everything seems to be perfect, like nothing had happend. Im thinking in more "hard acces obscure builidings", where you can set a base, be inside, and where you can only be seen or hear if other player came inside. You should use a flashlight, a weapon flashlight or a torch to see inside and loot. Just try to walk in any building in chernarus with another player outside. They all can hear your foot steps, they can see you moving. Thats not realisic and conspire to the posibility of finding a place to hide, walk inside a huge builiding fearing there can be something or someone when you open that dark door. This will give the game more role play an darkness. I think other games and the game "miscreated" at night (i dont like the hole game but in this feature i think did a great work) have something to offer: Again, sorry for my english capacity, i try to do my best. It´s calls realism and i think its good to happend men. Of curse is disadvantage and night is per se disorienting, but we should decide if dayz SA players like more the realism and atmosphere of a survival semi/rol game or just want a military pvp game (then just eliminate the food element, weather, health, sickness, cold, shaking, etc.).
