cars are so bugged at them moment I wouldn't bother repairing them. They need major fixes
-
Yes, we lost our Hatchback next to our camp and we were wondering if someone stole it without looting anything from our tents or if the server took it. But then again it prevents players from hiding all the vehicles

Ye, and using the quickbar still is painfully unreliable.

Mp5K with silencer and reflex sight, the best silent cqb in the game?
Luc Tonnerre replied to Marreta's topic in General Discussion
Butt the shotguns are way to loud and apart from the sawed-off shotgun they all take a whole weapon slot. I don't want to double-carry just to have a gun to kill infected with. Also the magazine size is too small for when the crap really hits the fan. For CQC the Saiga would be a viable option tho. -
Well all I wish for is a proper roadmap and some infos about the stuff we don't actually see in game. By that I mean the stuff that's going on in the background of which the common player is not aware of. It would make things a bit easier for me to understand why stuff seems so borked. Hopefully the new renderer turns out to be that milestone which will now allow a faster pace in development. That and the player controller should speed up progress now.

True, a lot has been added, but I still feel that even adding a new color to the spray cans will be some kind of major task and might break things in some unexpected areas due to a lack of proper templates (or whatever they use) just a feeling tho

A Few Thoughts On.. (Loot Economy, Protecting the Vanilla Experience, etc..)
Luc Tonnerre replied to Hicks_206 (DayZ)'s topic in News & Announcements
While I agree with everything you say I still have to express my concerns about whether this right now would be the best time to fiddle with balancing and tweaking. I like the struggle for survival but as a 'tester' I would prefer to do my job without having to run for miles before I can find anything worth testing. I would prefer it if you would delay the balancing of loot economy to a later state when everything else (like gun mechanics, player controller and such) is settled and working as intended. I think it's way to early to start balancing the loot economy. just my 2 beans -
No, you won't, I promise :p

Yo, we (IMT and me) just came from the NWAF. Before that we stalked 5 guys from a Stary heli crash towards Old Fields crashsite. Then we lost sight and backed up to Grishino. After spending some time in a building overlooking the town, IMT decided to show balls and run straight to the NWAF tents. Our plan was that one would stay in the pillbox while the other would yolo it and loot one row of the tents and come back so the other can do the next row. It all went pretty smooth, no encounters at all. After that IMT wanted to yolo it over the tar carpet and decided that it would be awesome to cut it to the right towards the officer barrack next to the civilian hangars. We've made it out of there alive and logged off in Lopatino. We've found no loot at all and the tension was almost unbearable but it was better than having an actual gunfight which we would have lost anyway due to non-existent tactical considerations during our whole session :D Be warned: One of these days yolo-IMT will get us all killed for sure

I think the running speed is connected with your frame rate. The lower the fps the lower the max running speed. I've noticed that whenever a teammate experiences a frame-drop while running next to me it almost looks as if he runs on the spot. Also I appear to be faster than other teammates since my beasty PC seldom drops below 100fps, even in big towns. Not sure if intended tho

donwload "dayzlauncher". It will automatically download all mods needed

ye, there should be a law against taking servers down

NOOOOOOOOOO!!! Evil devs!!! Base wiped! Now please wipe my tears too!

Classic DayZ SA experience: Died on some crappy stairs. I still claim that I never got killed in a gunfight since 0.60 hit the fan! Nobody can take this away from me!

Anyone else notice that the breathing sound in 1st person got reduced to an acceptable level or is it just me? @SMOSS Thanks dude :D

I guess they are fixing the bridges. Because all the arma 2 bridges were acting weird in the first place. I remember that it was literally impossible to drive a stryker or a tank across any kind of bridge without causing the vehicle to do weird somersaults. It's either that or they are just going to overhaul the assets.
