  1. sounds like a good idea. I would suggest Dolina since it has a nice big red metal barn where ppl could meet up while still having a bit of cover.

    How high is that tree?

How 'high' were you when you calculated how high it does fly? Calculate that!

What all got nerfed in 60 ?

steam overlay sometimes isn't accurate. I use DayZspy.com or gametracker, but gametracker doesn't show experimental servers.

    Lets talk about .60

That's what stable discussion thread is there for :p https://forums.dayz.com/topic/234114-stable-branch-060-discussion/
  5. Aaaaand the price goes to.... wait for it...wait... this months price goes to 'Burlap Sack'! Why? no idea really Why wouldn't they tell us? no idea really Why are they constantly fucking around with the balance of loot economy in such an early state of the game? no idea really Why are they letting us "test" stuff which they already know is borked anyway? Oh, I know this one: Because they just want to keep us busy with pointless tasks like "go figure out for yourself that cars are borked and will disappear after restart. Or the good old "We gonna add a new item for you to test but we will make it absolutely impossible to find! mwhahahaha" Gawwwd I'm salty right now....
  6. what I am wondering about is the fact that I haven't seen almost any loot spawn in the diffrent small wooden sheds and the rusty ones. I was in multiple towns within one server session and either there is no loot at all in sheds or there is plenty.
  7. yay, thanks. strips for the ghillie. For the complete set I would need 10 burlap strips and 4 or 6 nettings. I have 5 strips so far
  8. finally someone who understands me! btw, it was an UMP, a M4 with reflex sight and finally a Winchester with ammo and scope :*(
  9. Thanks but sorry guys, your posts don't ease my pain and saltyness so I guess I will stay like that for the next couple of hours.

    Dayz Gold release + Reliability

I certainly understand the frustration but what's there to discuss about? The way I see it the devs are well aware about their current progress and their wishful thinking regarding their timelines in the past.

    Dayz Gold release + Reliability

Let's forgive them for being a bit over-optimistic about their timeline and move on from here. All will be good

    Dayz Gold release + Reliability

I still think DayZ beta gets released at the end of 2015 kappa, I say.
  15. Butt the shotguns are way to loud and apart from the sawed-off shotgun they all take a whole weapon slot. I don't want to double-carry just to have a gun to kill infected with. Also the magazine size is too small for when the crap really hits the fan. For CQC the Saiga would be a viable option tho.

    My take on DayZ Development

Well all I wish for is a proper roadmap and some infos about the stuff we don't actually see in game. By that I mean the stuff that's going on in the background of which the common player is not aware of. It would make things a bit easier for me to understand why stuff seems so borked. Hopefully the new renderer turns out to be that milestone which will now allow a faster pace in development. That and the player controller should speed up progress now.

    My take on DayZ Development

True, a lot has been added, but I still feel that even adding a new color to the spray cans will be some kind of major task and might break things in some unexpected areas due to a lack of proper templates (or whatever they use) just a feeling tho
  18. While I agree with everything you say I still have to express my concerns about whether this right now would be the best time to fiddle with balancing and tweaking. I like the struggle for survival but as a 'tester' I would prefer to do my job without having to run for miles before I can find anything worth testing. I would prefer it if you would delay the balancing of loot economy to a later state when everything else (like gun mechanics, player controller and such) is settled and working as intended. I think it's way to early to start balancing the loot economy. just my 2 beans

    arma 2 epoch mod

donwload "dayzlauncher". It will automatically download all mods needed
  20. yea location and traps Just imagine you make it into the center of a base and step over a well placed trip-wire and suddenly all containers around you will open up and a hoard of zombies on leashes are coming for you. As soon as you are dead the leashes get retracted, dragging the zeds safely back into their containers. omgpls
  21. nothing should be impenetrable/indestructable. Hopefully the devs will add lots of possibilities to set up traps (boobie traps, tripwire, mines, electric traps... and so on - all of which persists after restarts ofc)
  22. Ye you are kind of right on this. I remember when some funny trolls put a military tent right in front of the officer-barrack at NWAF with the entrance facing the barracks entrance :D Nobody could get in that barrack anymoa because the tent can only be packed from the front side ^^ was a funny trollish idea tho
  23. I would like to have a word from the devs on this. Maybe even a little Q/A or a healthy brainstorming. I know that Brian clarified lots of things in the past but it's been a while and I am really eager to contribute some of my own ideas or see ideas from the community taken into the devs calculations.
  24. Ok, lets all take a deep breath and try to understand what Brian Hicks actually said in OPs video link :) In my opinion there is nothing wrong with degrading items since it helps keeping the servers from being overflodded by loot-goblins. He also mentioned that there will be a quick and easy way to "update" your base (probably similar to "maintaining" the base via a plot-pole like in dayZ overpoch/epoch) I really don't think the devs are so short-sighted that they will fail to come up with a solution for this. Right now my concerns are how the loot-economy will react if a small group of players hoard thousands of items in their bases. Will stuff still spawn in towns or in military locations? Not to mention the possibility of "ghosting" into another players base on public servers. Also, like in the mod, it will be up to the server admins to clean their servers once in a while when they notice that bases are abandoned and the owner left the server. @IRISHMIKE personally I hope there will be no artificial restrictions on where I am allowed to pitch my tent or build my base. As long as the engine allows it, there should not be a rule against building on tripple-yellow. I know it's crap if a clan owns this spot and starts to harrass all players in cherno, but hey, that's DayZ :) Survival of the fittest :) If there is an OP base on tripple yellow, I want to see the rest of the players trying to take it down instead of having some "rules" that would forbid building there. It's just more dynamic and realistic imo.
  25. I like the idea of improvised bases. What I don't like is having a base on this particular map when there are 100+ players (at some point) roaming around. It's just too small to get anything done. There is no way to hide a base for any given time and I don't see myself running around and collection stuff just to get shot by the next KOS bandit. It just doesn't make sense if the mapsize stays like this. Either they have to add islands (because atm the whole southern sea is wasted space) and more and denser forrests, or they have to add infinite wilderness where the debug zone is right now. (i don't even grammar cause I drank a whole bottle of beer)
