Nice trailer! What game is that? :) Ok, yeah. Nice cinematic trailer. Very little to do with the game that goes by the same name on my steam library. That kind of advertising DayZ needs. If i would be 18 years old console player. I would by that game.

Stars? It's autumn. Real sky. Sun won't stay up so late and you can navigate from the stars, if you know how. this is just my guess...

Compete against wich games? AAA games like PUBG, BF, GTA? Yea not in the same league. Players who play those games probably think that Dayz is outdated. But in the same genre there is not much competition. Forest, Rust, Scum?

Over 4 million copies sold before 1.0 Lauch. So not bad for BIS. DayZ also boosted ArmA series sales. It's a win-win for the company. New players will like it, unless they think it's to hard. Bad reviews come from the players who have played the game from the start.

I bet there's some mixed feelings for all of us who have played Dayz since that first night Dean released the mod for ArmA2. 1.0 is just another number for those players. Often 1.0 is the finished, polished product that you buy and enjoy, but not so much these days(z). Not when you have enjoyed the product over 5 years and waiting and waiting it to become everything you dreamed it to be. It's just next patch and you are still waiting... :) I hope 1.0 brings new players to DayZ and they can enjoy the game without the "burden" of 5 years testing the game. To feel and experience the same feelings (the good ones) you have during those 5 years of development. Gongrats to BIS and Developers of DayZ for making a game that made an impact to whole gaming industry.

Pretty much offtopic to this thread... as is my answer. Well OFP or ArmA wasn't open for public 5 years before 1.0 version. I always thought that when you participate early acces game, you get the final product when it goes GOLD/1.0/BETA test over. Yea you get few updates to fix bugs. But you dont have to wait years again to get the stuff that was promised over the years of alpha stage. I really hope that BIS is not planning to use same strategy with it's next ArmA or what ever it will be called military simulator. ArmA devs went to prison, DayZ devs go to gamesexpo's to please xbox-players. ^^

So more you pay, less you get? Nice business idea. Hell, I wouldn't pay 28€, if someone would introduce this game to me now. I don't think i would even pay that first early acces price, what ever it was. Can't even remember that anymore. It was so long time ago when that dream was sold to us. And it's still only a dream. What we have now is a nice looking empty world with slightly better pvp gaming experience. For the survivors this is a major blow. Maybe the Xbox players are happy? Map and compass, yiihaaa... wait, we had those 5 years ago. We can build a base with stick and stones, but you can't throw a stone. "Oh shit we are running out of time" "No worries, lets just call this product 1.0"

It's Status Report Tuesday and yes let's hope we see the new stress test update today aswell. ...or maybe they keep fixing bugs that they create each update and then after few years it's time to make new game engine again and whole cycle begins from the start.

Something is wrong when most noticeable pr-person leaves the project... again. It was Dean who first brought players (and millions to bis) to Dayz. And atleast for me Brian was one of the most convincing person after Dean who kept people believe in Dayz @ social media.

Yes. Like this "house" down here. Never ready. We are only getting new "checklist's, status reporst etc." to see how slow the development has become with Dayz.

I'll stop right there. Good luck with the game. I really hope there will be Dayz 1.0 someday and players to play it.
