Lag, i was playing and this happened to me a few days back, given up on the game until they fix this shit.. Arma servers are horrible and i simply can't understand how DayZ SA servers can lag, i mean it may just be Arma 2's shitty coding but yea.. Needs to be fixed..

Here's my 2nd DayZ video! I thought it was alright, would adore some feedback from you guys however. I'll put an overview of the video down below. The video was more roughly edited this time, my After Effects was broken so i had to use Sony Vegas. The recording itself was also unprepared, i started recording as soon as i saw these guys. My group dies in a firefight, i'm the only soul survivor. I have to hold out and stop people from getting their gear, out of no where from the other side of Elektro a group of 6 emerge and i engage them, sadly i didn't record this part, only 5 minutes into the fight and the rest of the engagement. In total i kill something like 8 people, there are a lot of cuts in this video as the raw footage is about 50 minutes, plus there was a lot of stuff happening in the background. Would love to see what you guys think, if you could comment on the video as well that'll be even better, anyway i hope you guys enjoyed the video, thanks for your time also. Yea, i used to go up north all the time in the mod. Thanks for the feedback too, i'll check it out. I was thinking about using the shadowplay, will give me a few extra frames too instead of using a heavy recording program. Once they add vehicles into DayZ i think people will explore more to the North and the action will be up there.

Never really seen much action out of elektro in the SA, i mean theres some along the coast but aside from that..

Hey guys, i've recently made a DayZ video and i would really love some of your guys feedback. At times i do get carried away, but damn i just got into the moment. First time playing DayZ in months as a matter of fact, could hardly get my PC to run it. Basic overview; Some PvP action, i take out a group of players before dying myself, i come back and give them some trouble. I then travel along the coast, taking out a few players before reaching my final resting place that is the infamous town of Elektro. An interesting day in the DayZ world. So basically as the title says, i have poor FPS in SA. By poor i mean like 20 odd FPS when i'm in key areas such as Cherno, NW Airfield etc. However when i just run along in the open i get an average FPS of 80, the fps is only bad in SA, i've never experienced before. Another note, the FPS drops even more when i'm in buildings. Is there anyway to fix this? Would be much appreciated if anyone had any ideas :) Also i don't know if there has been previous topics in regards to this, i couldn't find anything under the search forum function however so i'd thought i would post this.

Windows 7 Do you have a link to any guides on how to improve my FPS on SA? I know there's a few for Arma 2 (Which i can run maxed out, with over 60 FPS). Haven't found any for SA yet.

I got a i5 2500k, it should be fine. You have any suggestions for it? It could be the internet.. However i haven't toyed around with a bunch of the settings, don't know which ones to keep/lower. Still want the game to look semi-pretty. What's the best settings to lower?

Now the game is in Alpha, i know that. But i'm not sure whether or not the gasmask will be used for anything or if it's just going to be a pretty prop. In the case of it not already having a future use in the full game/beta, i think it would be benificial to add some elements similar to STALKER/The Metro series in regards to the gas mask (For example, you can enter some areas other players cannot without the mask, if your mask is damaged/broken you would die/get ill, oxygen would also need to be added if this were to come into play). Either that or make it have some benifit for it's wearer, not sure what it would be. First topic post in a while, this was just pondering in my head. Feel like i'm playing STALKER now if not a hybrid, the DayZ SA is a lot more immersive i'll give Rocket and the dev team that :)

Just keep in mind that i have a thick Australian accent and i sound like i'm in my 20's. Favorite Gear - Loud guns, MK48's and M4's are my personal favorite types of weapons in the vanilla. Depending on which mod you film it on, my choice may vary. My favorite skin is the SAS skin with the boonie cap. Provided it's a military role that i fill if i do end up getting into the project. Bandit/Hero? - Mix of the two, more on the bandit side how ever. Class - Rifleman suits me, i prefer to be in the thick of it. Sorry if i'm a bit broad with some of my statements/ideas.
