I'm going off the wiki, that says the ingame variant of the PP-19 is in 9x19 and the Makarov obviously being in 9x18. I was against the removal of the Makarov when it was patched out but it's not even that big of a deal now to survive without it. I think not having any food, water, or painkillers are more of a hindrance than not having a weapon. Just get the fuck away from the coast and hit a deer stand, barn, or castle on your way up North and you will find a primary weapon and a handgun (probably both) within 30-40 minutes.

This would just be an irritating addition to the game, same with all the "make players have to urinate, sleep, etc." suggestions.

I like the idea but the PP-19 in the game is chambered in 9x19. Although there are variants in 9x18, most are in 9x19 and use the 7N31 overpressure round that the Russians designed so firing regular 9x19 in it would probably cause a lot of issues.

Ever since the 1.7.1 update, zombie spawn rates are way too fast. I was in a three man team trying to raid a supermarket and two of us go in while one kept watch for other survivors with a DMR on a hill behind the town. We both go in no problem and avoided zombies but while we were INSIDE the building with all doors closed, a zombie saw us through the wall and I was forced to shoot him when he came in. Another zombie came in and I had to shoot him as well and that's when the horde came. We killed about 20 before the friend with the DMR told us they kept respawning and rushing for the store. I ended up killing 69 zombies just by myself with an AKM and my 1911 before being killed. My other friend killed 30-40 with a shotgun and Makarov. There was at least 15 or so in the building when I died and a lot more on the way. This is the first time we tried running a supermarket since the 1.7.1 update. The same thing happened before when we went to a barn but managed to get out and lose them when we were low on ammo and they kept spawning.

What happened to the water bottles? You don't spawn with one anymore and they're harder to find. I think the hotfixes posted today fixed the spawn rate but the first one that removed it fucked it all up and made food and water some of the rarest things in the game.

Thank fuck. Yeah' date=' probably has something to do with those people who have a criminal record, IE not me. Good thing civilians in America cannot own an assault rifle without mountains of paperwork, piles of money, tax stamps, and months of waiting periods. Semi-automatic rifles on the other hand, are completely legal in all fifty states. Again' date=' parents are both atheists and we live in the North East, away from the Bible Belt. Good thing I'm going to school at one of the better colleges in the state then.

Right then. I'll PM you my long winded answer instead of further ruining this doomed thread. I'm not spending anymore time arguing with you and I'm not doing so in a private message with you, which I've since deleted. You don't know what you're talking about in terms of firearms, firearm availability, firearm laws, etc. Shooting, maintaining, and collecting firearms is my only hobby. You trying to tell me that 'hurr durrrrr handguns aren't even common in Europe, especially Eastern Europe', is so beyond idiotic I can't even explain it to you. It does not make any sense to not spawn with a firearm. You are one of the few survivors after the world was destroyed by a zombie infection, it makes zero sense for you to have gotten this far without even a small pistol. You spawn with a chest rig and plate carrier, yet no firearm? This makes as much sense as a flight simulator where you spawn in a flight suit with an oxygen mask and yet no airplane.

It matters that.... 1) It's the POST apocalypse, not a week after it began. Anyone left who is alive would already have a firearm. You start out with a chest rig, plate carrier, holster, boots, etc. It doesn't make sense that you don't have a firearm. 2) It's the POST apocalypse, meaning the military and government is gone, but their equipment and firearms are not. The police in Eastern Europe/Western Russia all have Makarovs, do you think they would disappear when they die? Oh for fuck's sake. Go to Prague or Eastern Ukraine and ask the people there how awesome it is to live there. It's a shit hole in the eastern Slavic countries. I didn't say America was any better, there are shit holes here too like Detroit. The game happens to take place in a fictionalized version of one of these shit holes.
