Killing people in a DayZ, for me, feels something like I'm rocketing down a slide made of Cool Whip as I stalk them. When my bullet inevitably punctures their cranium, sending skull fragments and brain matter scattering through the air, it's as if I've reached the bottom of the slide and landed in a pool of delicious gummy sharks and banana pudding.

I question the legitimacy because I have rather frequently killed ghillied players that have some epic rare sniper rifle + all the gear you have, not to mention I often find them in hotspots like Cherno/Elektro. If you got all that gear legit, then good on you, but I somehow doubt you did. Well you have to understand that people can find mediocre videos all over the internet, people want WOW or something hilarious... this just wasn't it. Try me. EDIT: To add, if you showed me a video like this in person, I'd have no reason to change my answer. Unless you're some kind of serial killer, it's not considered highly offensive to dislike something in the real world.

I'd like to welcome you all to the DayZ forums and the community, you'll find about 30% of us are actually helpful while the rest of us just kind of search for something to fuel the flames of our posts with. That being said, I decided to make this thread (which will inevitably get lost under a flood of redundant threads) in an effort to offer one very vital basic tip. PLAY A COUPLE OF THE SINGLE PLAYER TUTORIAL MISSIONS BEFORE YOU JUMP INTO DAYZ! Holy shit. You have no idea how helpful (and obvious...) this tip is, I'll be the first to admit ArmA has a rather unconventional control scheme. But if you play a couple of the tutorial missions, it'll make it a lot less nerve wracking when you start playing DayZ. There's already enough things in DayZ that will make you want to put your head through a wall, don't make it harder on yourself. Also, here's a link to a website that can probably answer most of your questions without you needing to make a "how do I" thread about it. Here is another resource you can use to keep the forums from being cluttered with redundant "how do I" threads, enjoy and welcome once again. ;)

Not so much. That statement, which you so helpfully highlighted, is me telling you that saying something doesn't make it absolute truth. For instance, if someone tells me that olives are only green and I reply that they can be black too, that doesn't make it the absolute truth in the first person's eyes. Now replay that argument and for some weird reason I happen to have a jar of black olives to present, POW, I have now presented ACTUAL undeniable proof. See where I'm going with this? If I thought your story was false, I would've said it was bullshit. But I didn't, I used a meme to express your idea of proof was incorrect. I don't know how much more logic I can throw at your brick wall of a brain before you finally understand this...

The music is atrocious, mute ftw. It's incredible how common a ghillie sniper with NVGs, a rangefinder, an M107, coyote backpack, near full toolbelt, and an M9SD is... I question the legitimacy of players like you every time I'm rifling through their corpse. As for the video, I found it rather boring honestly. :|

Both items occupy the primary slot, you have to choose. You can have one primary equipped and one secondary equipped at once, anything else you want to carry goes into your backpack.
