Charcoal tablets will cure food poisoning afaik, if you don't have those you will eventually pass out and die.

Rotten fruit = Bad! Find wells and drink from them to the point you're not thirsty any more, food can be scarce but really not that bad imo. In any case try to stock up on the essentials before heading out anywhere far.

You could get somewhat of a good idea from the Feedback Tracker and I'm sure some have been lurking in various forums and are abreast of current concerns. We will most likely be getting a patch on Tues that will take care of a few things, that was taken from a tweet from Hicks.

In any Alpha especially an early Alpha, one has to be expected to lose gear due to bugs, DB wipes or whatever. It's just the nature of the beast and you MUST NOT get attached to your gear this early in the piece or at all if you can manage it. It definitely wouldn't hurt to post up in the Feedback Tracker and upvote the issue.

KOS shouldn't be punished like most are trying to do and posting about. In saying that, there must be some kind of consequence or thought process involved in KOS rather than mindlessly running around shooting people in the face. My thoughts is when Zeds are a threat, loot tables are where they should be and the environment is a factor KOS will be lessened. If that KOSer wants to take that shot, he will actively have to think about that last bullet, those Zeds mobbing him or any other factors. At the moment there is absolutely nothing to think about. When these features are implemented, If that KOSer in fact doesn't think(and continually does so), their demise will be almost guaranteed and that will be their consequence. The choice will be there's to make and it won't be by some gamey introduced sort of shit. This may also lead to people having to actually interact. Hey, what a novel idea. This will come in time, as for now being very early Alpha with none of the above features KOS is rampant and I think, just has to be waited out.

Heh, for me it was just something that needed to be done. Started off the journey at Kamenka, North past NWAF. Hit the Map end up North and then meandered East towards Berezhino. Was a good journey but a lot of supplies were eaten/drunk along the way. A couple of areas up there where you can find loot but not many at all.

When the North is done it will a be a hot area to go to. As of now, it's kind of vacant of buildings. Some do exist and there are some areas that look like place-holders for towns but all in all, currently not a good place to visit for loot. We will just have to be patient and wait to see the development that progresses way up north, will be most excellent when done. I can say one thing, it's nice and quiet up there. :)

This is not an absolutely true statement. Been in Zeleno through the North and East to Berezhino and have met plenty of people who do not KOS, just sayin.

Very odd since I do not have any issues with the Steam overlay or screenshot function in DayZ SA. Only one I do have is mistakenly having the overlay pop up when I'm moving slowly(shift) and I open up my inventory(tab), but this is just me being too lazy to bind a different key for opening the inventory UI. :P

There is a poncho thread Here. Ponchos do cover more than a raincoat does, so it would keep your gear and self dryer than a raincoat would.

There is another thread on the subject of Tents Here. We do need Tents at some point in time, but I don't think they're needed currently.

Zeds currently in the SA are a complete non threat, they're very easy to kill with melee or a gun. Will they be worked on? Absolutely! When they become a threat, I will absolutely enjoy it. ;)

Topic has been covered and commented on a multitude of times... Search function use is a must. Anyway, one thread is Here and the problem is, hosters having issues with setting their server boxes with the proper GMT value.

Tents would be absolutely useless at the moment and would only ad to server instability at the current time... Also, with DB wipes that will most likely happen frequently and being able to gear so easily, tents/storage are not a priority imo. Maybe when the loot tables are fixed and other bugs/features on the priority list are fixed/done, then tents will be thought about.

I've been playing for a while and have a few people I sometimes run with. If you need a hand, have questions or want to group up to learn the ropes shoot me a PM. In AU as well by the way. Interesting first vid, keep it up and I hope it works out for you. ;)

I seemed to have beat this horse into a bloody pulp... Umm, Alpha and not all features are in the game at this point in time. Must be patient.
