Been like this for forever, not a bug. If you run up a hill at an angle you will go faster but everyone even the Zeds have this disadvantage when running up a hill. With a Stamina feature I'm sure running up hills would wear you out rather quickly and could even be worse than how it is now.

A timer to logout along with an in combat timer or a clone left in game for Alt F4 will help Combat logging. Server hopping is to be dealt with differently, so that favourite tactic of the cowards will be shot to shit.

It's the path of least resistance syndrome. It's much easier to just shoot someone in the face and take their gear, than to actually interact with another human being. That would just be too damned hard!

Mostly along the southern or eastern coast up to about Solnichniy, sometimes spawning up Novy/Stary way. What I would love to see is random spawning throughout the map not just the coast, maybe limited to semi remote areas or at least outside of towns/cities.

Once you are dead/knocked out they do munch on you but atm the animation is borked afaik. I hope that answers your question.

There is no real solution, some say to play within the same server host cluster but I'm not sure this always works. It is a known bug and there were many threads on the subject that have been merged as of yesterday but at the moment can't find the thread. Hit the Feedback Tracker and upvote the issue and/or report it. I know yesterday they were having DB maintenance which was tweeted by Hicks and may have caused a lot of the issues then.

Not only ^this but server/client performance as well as other hot issues are priority. I think adding vehicles to the mix this early in the piece would only cause us grief more than anything else.

The combat logging fix was removed before release of the Alpha because it didn't work as intended and I am sure it is very high on the priority list. Can people just be patient and wait until they at least come off their holidays before making any kind of judgement or claim that they're sitting on the laurels. The things that concern us will be fixed but being patient will help more than just ranting on or inferring about how bad the Devs are. Oh yeah, and it won't take private hives to fix these issues as someone inferred, they aren't the end all be all for everything.

Find a nice suited pine tree to crash in, usually at one or two in the vicinity. If not that then a bush will suffice.

It's people like you that are the issue at the moment. You refer to Hackers as being the worse, but just like a hacker you exploit a hole in the game and use it to screw other people. By the rest of your posts you seem to not have the brain capacity to comprehend this point. When this hole is fixed I almost guarantee that you'll find some other hole in the game to slither your way out of, just typical of how you people work. Just to be clear... I am making a statement and not "Mad Bro".

Ideas for solving battle logging?

What's the alternative for Alt F4 combat logging or a variation thereof? Unless there's a way to detect how the client DCed. I'm no programmer so have no idea if that is even possible to detect. Seeing that DayZ does have a server/client architecture can it detect how a client DC's? This is a question that would nice to know the answer to. -

If you hit escape to logout, 30 sec timer... Hit alt F4 or DC any other way, clone left in game and you die. Price to pay for combat logging. I don't think it needs to be any more complex than this really. Whatever is done it needs to hurt because it's a plague that needs a cure. -

Very well known problem and will be fixed I'm sure. That and combat logging are the hot issues as of late.

You can also use Direct Voice chat by pressing Caps Lock or double tapping it to leave it open if you so desire. I find that much easier than typing and quicker in critical situations.
