Welcome to DayZ! You will not find a PvE option until the coming of private hives and they can enforce this rule themselves. At the present time Rocket has no interest in getting rid of the PvP aspect of the game and PvE only servers are not allowed on any public servers anyway. So, you will either have to deal with how it is now or put the game down and come back when private hives are giving the PvE alternative, if that even will be an option. I for one am not a PvP fanatic but understand it is a necessary evil of the game, the tension it brings is what makes DayZ the game it is.

So you really like the core aspects of the game, yet you whine about spawn points and then also server hop. Really!? Honestly you guys who are bitching about spawn points want things just handed to you. The so called design flaws are anything but... DayZ is about survival and definitely not a game of convenience, so what you think is a flaw is actually the way the game is supposed to be. People want to spend more time committing suicide and within that time of endless stupidity, they could be getting what they need to survive and playing the game the way they should. People really need to htfu and realize it's not DayZ that needs to change, it's your playstyle that needs to change. As I said in another thread much like this one... DayZ is what it is and if you're disappointed this early in the piece, then you need to move on and not look back because it's only going to get worse for you. Welcome to DayZ!

Disease and such will be implemented at a later date. We will see such things as cholera and the like. So yes, already being worked on. ;)

*sigh* "Welp, time to do it all over again." Whether it's to a bug or another player, getting attached to your gear and raging after losing it is counterproductive imo. I just look at it as, you WILL eventually die anyway it's just a matter of time. ;)

It does not take 30mins from Solnichniy to get to a town that may have houses to loot, Solnichniy itself may have stuff left over from other survivors. Key is to actually search. With the advent of vehicles it won't make things any easier, you'll still have to fix them and that will be quite a chore in itself. I think you need to change your playstyle a bit and realize that DayZ does not give you anything on a silver platter. Once you realize this you'll do a lot better at working for what you need. It's early days and if you're disappointed now you're only going to be moreso later in the piece. Welcome to DayZ!

It happens sometimes when you copy/paste from a source with a different colour background. Highlight to problem text and "Remove Format". That should fix it.

Hrmmm... Maybe just maybe if you were a bit more constructive in your OP, then we would forgive your ignorance(maybe). Since there is a bajillion other threads on the same topic, wouldn't it have been wiser to post in one of those threads? Rocket has said that fridges, cookers(stoves), cardboard boxes etc. are being worked on to be much like containers for loot. When you stand next to them and open up your inventory UI the items would show up in the vicinity view, much like Project Zomboid as far as I'm understanding. He said this in either his own Stream the other day or Sacriel's, I forget which.

So if you aware that there are a "gazillion" threads on the same subject... Why post up in your own thread? This is why you're getting such shitty responses along with the obvious lack of constructiveness of your post in general. Use the grey matter and you will get much more joy.

This has always been my qualm. ALL Admins aren't doing this, it's the asshat Admins that are and put us decent ones in a bad light. It's too bad there aren't more stringent rules to gain access to Administering a server because some Admins just lack the brain capacity and the moral capacity to run a decent server. It's all about them and how they can exploit their server to gain the upper hand, not about serving the community the way it should be. As far as this thread and OP are concerned... Yeah, there's definite problems that need to be addressed as far as Admins are concerned but how bout we at least say "Some Admins" are abusing their powers rather than throwing us all into the same fucking basket. Well not for nothing at 00:00 the moon is high in the sky and you can see quite well. I'm quite sure there are towns that you haven't gone to that you could find loot at. I've seen plenty of threads like this one(not enough loot) but I and others seem to not have the issues finding what we need. Maybe you need to search harder? Plenty of 24/7 Day servers out there as well, so not sure what the issue is there either.

I'm actually finding the latest patch much better as far as dsync. Used to get yellow and red chains a fair bit, now not so much. Also seems to be running on my rig better than it was, so no issues here as far as worse desync.

It's a dirty job but someone has to do it...

Tend to agree that if we see the implementation of these kind of vehicles it causes a downward spiral towards a PvPcentric game. It's not in DayZ fashion to have all this military loot spawning about the place and I really have to say no to the idea.

My question is... Why are you staying along the coastal areas knowing this is where the highly loot ravaged places are? I as well as others really have no issues with finding the stuff we need to survive. Get off the coast, go inland to less frequented towns. Or are you one of those who thinks a gun is the end all be all of surviving in DayZ and Cherno, Balota and the like is the go to? If so you need to rethink and change your playstyle. As for all the other bits... Well... Do I really have to say it?

^ This, although using a 3rd party map kinda ruins the exploration bit of it. To each his own I guess. For #3: Adjust the character looks you want and "Set Default". Next time you die that default is what your character will look like.

What will happen is that these people who are ill-informed or are asking for convenience(like those other games), will either have to accept what DayZ is and will be or just move on. It will happen... Eventually.
