    who said ground dirt naps? ok maybe 100m, 300m to 500m with scopes, binos. Your right, was putting the binos in and thinking 300m 100m would be a squint view.

    very nice list you have going there. Not saying every small town has to have these, but we could randomize the map some. so for every 3 small villages 1 hardware store pops up in a small town, with grocery store. In most western civ's this is approx what we are faced with. Ontario canada is faced with this, and i am sure many of the small villages across canada are becoming more like ghost towns. Its the economy these days. Not 2 stores alike can make it in a small county of 50000 because within 30-1 hr drive you usually have a small city or larger town.

    I should say also anything for modded servers like this idea is better then everyones name coming up. As a scripter i like this idea very much, because in arma 3 epoch, exile you usually went with clan named scripts.

    at 300m you can see your friend and at 500m you can see your friend with bino's and scopes. Most people can identify their person is by facial features. The 2 second idea is good as long as your on top of the person. If you glance, you can still usually reconize 1 person out of a crowd of 20 people. So really doesn't matter to me, and i probably would desync shoot you anyways lol Maybe 2 seconds under 500m? only

    2 seconds might be more then enough, its more of a chance we have to help identify these. 1........2......name pops up. Identifying the person running across a field. wall person is a hard situation, since most of the problems are with dayz and not the client on this level. But that's not the primary use of it in public, and shouldn't be. I agree on a normal playing level we should be able to enjoy the suggestion you have. Its a good one, and it makes you smile when your being tracked by a friend :) PVP wise, its awesome.... so you do not kill your group buddy long range.... did you just shoot me? opps...

    You sure? might be able to help identify who is speed hacking, or walking through walls. Then you can submit a complaint to the server dev's. Since half the tools we have now aren't much use.

    Doesnt work, vsync is broken i think. I tested it today and i was still getting 100+ did a few restarts of the game to make sure and it would not cap. Another solution might be needed.

    Not bad idea, i know modded will adapt a name tag thing, but the bino's and scopes long range might be a better system then seeing who is on the map. It makes it more immersive knowing who is following you or running to the chopper you just looted. I am game for knowing who is who by long range devices.

    Right now we cant even handle 10 people playing without some warp features. Hope .61 fixes this so all players can enjoy the game. Possible fps lock might improve it for some.

    Whats your cpu, ram, and video card please. It would help determine what rubberbanding tower you have.

    Blue Tents?

    Today, we need black tents small, dark green tents small, camo tents small. We need to reduce the bubble factor of 200m to 50m or 100m because there is no way to hide a tent anywhere. The trees are mainly scattered and wide open to create a base. To hide a base is almost impossible. I can even find the barrels in the dark trees. I have recorded over 50 tents on a small server, all of which people thought they where secure. Colors show up way to bright, you can see them just to easy. I understand the need for a camp, to store precious items in, but there is no way to protect them at all. So since this is coding from arma 3 which i assume most of it comes from the ideas. I suggest we have a locking with a special code to help protect some of our stuff. Since base building is not complete it is very easy to just steal others items for your own use. I don't like this system, so changing the colors of the tents might help. Light blue tents show up miles away. 200m for sure, then you have the items causing server lag, which sucks.... We need the modding tools sooner then later so we can start building our own server ideas.

    This is my main concern too, as bases will be raided to no end no way to protect them, no way to fend off the looters since most items disappear on reboot. The only thing bases are going to do which most games have this issue is force players to use the exploits in the map. This is the only way to ensure you can save the stuff you worked so hard to find. Otherwise i will mod the shit out of my server and block people from entering and ill change scripts.

    Oh i was getting all kinds of traction on the passenger side, hitting the field slowed it down so i went off to look for a new tire on the passenger side. Pristine, put it on and i had 0 traction again. a flat surface still couldn't get over it. Then the truck would reverse like i was on some massive hill. all tires where pristine, to worn on the truck. The truck still would not get over 10mph on the fields. It used to drive fine until something was changed with these gears. standard was introduced. First and last time i ever worry about a vehicle until they fix whatever is broken. The sedan i drove was doing over 100mph and drove like a dream. So why was the truck so slow?? With all the tires on. I just did not take a screen shot of all the tires on the vehicle and all parts where good order.

    I should also mention the truck the way it was on 2 rear wheels on one side still moved. That was a bug NP i added a pristine wheel to the rear on the other side. If i tried to move in first it would reverse and keep reversing, but even stopping would not go forward in first, it would keep reversing.These trucks worked great back in the old days before the standard shifting. I am fine with the shifting but the top end speed in first while on an open flat field is 10mph to -8 mph because it likes to reverse on a 1 inch grade. Please by all means, increase this low end speed to 20+ mph so we can gain enough momentum to get over a 10 centimeter grade. No joking about this part, i actually reviewed the grade to make sure i wasn't having some brain fart. But after driving one of those V3s, again, first time with troop i felt like i was farting all over the place and wasted my time. I was just trying to get it to my guys so we can transport everyone when we have the PVP event tomorrow. I was really sad....

    Yup i was shifting with E, and doing it fine i thought. Q is reverse. It was slow moving at first but i built speed, missed my turn and decided to take a wide open field return to the right road. That's when all the problems started to happen. I did exactly what you suggested building up speed. The deal was it never got over 10 mph honestly, and doing so in the field basically made me feel stuck. Why is it like this? worked fine before. All that has to be done is increase the speed some, why did the devs decide to reduce it so we cant use them at all? This has to change...... Spending 3+ hours trying to get the parts, and trying to move it pissed me off, at the end. So i thought why not shoot the dead horse anyways... put 60 + 5.56 into it, as rare as they are.

    going for a nap (out of disgust), i don't mind bug testing and getting things corrected for beta release, but i don't know if i did something wrong with q and e reverse and forward on these things. So like is it something i did wrong, or is this actually a bug i should be submitting? Thanks

    Also if the helis drive like that troop v3s or whatever truck is like, i do not want a vehicle ever. That has to be some joke?? because arma vehicles drive great. Sure we should slow them down some but still they handle on a dime. Isn't this the same coding arma 3 has?

    Prestine helps not driving off the road or doing complete circles if you wish to get anywhere with it. Tires all are repaired with a tire repair kit, it will take it to worn only. The same applies to all repair kits taking it to worn only. You can never get to pristine with any repair kits. Hope that helps with the repair system in place. Try to aim for storing 1 or more repair kits, enough tools, and 1 extra tire and maybe some gas. The server desync may reset you back and ruin your bus, so be careful.
