    I wonder if some of that controller code can be ported to the AI, and especially the infected. Damn cheaters, i tell you. Those infected find ways to pop up through the floors every stinking time... damn them. But i do love the ninja over the walls, gates they do, then drop kick you with 1000 punches.

    If you like Role playing. Myself i am not into pretending that much. If you keep your server down on loot spawns it wont turn into a massive pvp shooter, but it is a pvp-pve shooter. There is no end game, and pvp is the end game, once your done building your base, get all the loot you can, you will turn to pvp. At some point you will change. There is only so much vanilla people can play. This is why modding is being introduced for the other experiences. @OP i completely agree with the ruined gear part, why i intend to remove that part after modding.
  7. Wildlife can have impact on survival. Much of it is being fixed right now, but wolves can be dangerous, weapons hard to get, ammo hard to get, food hard to find, and it is going to be a rough life. It is not perfect by any means in Exp but they are working around the clock trying to fix it for Christmas. Hold in there guys, Brian himself has also taken to help get this pushed for stable. and if you exploit that is a different topic, being worked on.

    Damage is good just don't turn your back on them. However 7-8 bullets .22 to the head was hard to win the fight. Held me up in the house for some time. I did a small video testing the desync for exp, but your more then welcome to get info from it. WTF is that clacking noise i get?

    32 vs. 64...

    32bit on .60 is great, 32bit on latest exp build is great 175 fps.... x64 bit on exp current build is nice, and what Brian Hicks posted was to test the x64 for crashes. I think we might be really well off with this version.

    Interim Exp.

    Well it is serious business when it can mean the difference between 6months and 1 year setbacks. But my opinion is towards the setback players (wieners, whiners), not you guys. Keep posting good stuff. I strongly believe that once the character controller is live, we will see much better results with desyncs, and quality patches.

    32 vs. 64...

    There is a 64 bit client, on exp. Right click launch in x64. I am trying to look and see what resources it is using. So far so good, enfusion is liking it.

    Interim Exp.

    The infected are a major problem for the devs atm. They are destabilizing the fight. Meaning that when you attack, they drive right into you, and continue to do so until your hit. Not including the infected, push but the actual slap-hit they do, keeps causing the hit collision to bounce off of you and slide to the right or left. The way it is suppose to be intended is, collision detection you hit, they hit but are unable to float through you or around you. If you dodge or parry a blow, it only should cancel out their attacks. Right now when the fight happens, they slide right off of you and keep hitting with massive blows that you never saw. The speed is insane. Honestly guys? we need to stop right here, and allow the devs to complete the character animation, controller asap. Once that is finished we may have less issues in that department. So right now, as we are set back two dev builds, unless updated again. We have the infected pushing you into walls, or through. You can move right to left in hopes you can keep punching while they take the blow, moving after each hit to avoid that push. However it is very critical they repair the character animation, and maybe port some of those features to the infected. We need that character controller fixed asap, as it may solve many of the key problems faced with infected and character UI delays, animations, and full controller abilities. Most people say, the collision detection engine is one of the most important things in any MMO, Sandbox if not the most important feature. If it involves replacing the character controller prior, i say lets let them. We really need people to back the fuck off in Exp build threads, and let these devs complete the task, things would go along much smoother if we could be asked to test key features for them. However with the fight since the beginning we are no longer asked, or told what to do, but just placed some info. I am happy Brian Hicks is posting information for us "real" testers to post on. What can happen is very destabilizing to the code, when a push, happens like this pushing you through the environment before everything has been coded to handle the collision pathing etc... it can cause map glitches, unresponsive loops etc.. all kinds of horrible things for coders to deal with. When we had this issue with MMO's we had to beg the devs to stop the collision push by melee against a MOB into the walls. It would cause all kinds of issues, no HP loss, no rewards, everything and anything could be canceled out. The push was removed, and it was much easier to control the fight. This alone you could spend a year at developing a perfect engine. Thanks all

    First Aid Kit storage capacity

    I was looking at it again last night, and it is true we need the ability to place in iv bag 1x2 or whatever size it is at the end. It only fits this type of bag. The rest can be single combines. Whoever wins, i want to be on the side with the bigger fist :)

    Have you seen the vanilla arma before? well that's a starting point. Modders took over from there. If they make changes year to year that's great. There is only so much they are going to give us in vanilla. You can wish, you can want but reality is they want the game finished too. Wait till release we might see much more then what is proposed.

    Alpha, so many things are not finished. The game will become what we make of it in the end. What you may see is vanilla, and modders will take it to the next level if requested.

    Craft will be more modded then what you might get in dayz. Not saying its not awesome to have many more survival pieces but i don't believe the devs will be able to give us all that in release. So we will just mod it.

    Take all clothing off, warm up by the fire, even 2 fires if you have to. If you don't see warm climbing then it can be a bug most likely.

    Sad part is 999 of the servers out there do the same things. Wait until they start locking it, and booting players. BTW welcome back? i guess you should remember all those bad servers we had back 2 years ago? well most of them are still around. nobody cares.... sadly. GSP give up, and pass it off as a no problem issue.
  22. You have to understand, keeping people at the coast is a bad thing, it will not balance the game out. So we have to have at least 15-30 minute walk-run inland or else we end up having bambi kills on the coast. But i do love your ideas of the map, for custom purposes and maybe modding private servers.

    Yeah, Gews post is correct. It may work, but it wasn't intended. A gunsmith can remove the rivets and make it retrofit but it wasn't intended. Stock weapons are what we really have here. If Dayz wants to add in more crafting then this would be a perfect idea, to do gun mods. However...... i don't think the devs want to explore all features we want, but to allow modders to do what they want. crafting, gun smithing etc is not a new modding idea either, but makes it fun searching for items so you can customize your weapons.

    I agree the small case could allow for more slots, to combine objects inside it. It should be 2 slots bigger to give us the iv bag. We collect enough bandages to stay alive now, allow us to use the bag instead of throwing it away. I would even go as far as giving us a special slot on the character. It attaches to the backpack (Certain ones) as an extra bag. Only medical items can fit in those slots. We should also be able to hotkey certain items to the bar, without losing the hotkey items. Such as bandages being hotkey on #9 slot and after logging off the game, it holds its position. Why the INI file hasn't recorded these slots by now, must be a bug, or not implemented feature.
