Mind posting a step-by-step?

Anyone mind telling me exactly how I'd do that?

Still getting the bugs, and I've updated to 1.7.1.4 as well. It's only 1.7.1 and it's various versions that do this to me. 1.7.0 and 1.6 are fine.

As a note, it does not seem to be due to the Arma2 93825 beta patch. I reverted back to 1.6 and 1.7.0, the graphics were fine with the 825 patch. I also kept all the updated files save for the 1.7.1.1 or 1.7.1.2 files. So it's something in/about these files that borks the graphics.

I've got the same thing going on as well. It's only happened with the latest two patches. Screenshots below.

It's not a hardware issue. I'm running a Radeon HD 6870. I can max out the graphics easily. The graphic driver is up to date. It's also not blocky just in game, at the main menu where it has your moving background, all the shrubs and grass there are papery as well.

My graphics have gone all papery and chunky after 1.7.1.1 and 1.7.1.2. I am updated completely on the Arma2 beta and DayZ mod. I have restarted, changed my graphics settings from min to max and back again, completely wiped Arma2 and Arma2:OA from my computer for a clean install and same problem. This error has only occurred after patching the Arma2 beta 93825 and 1.7.1.1 and just now 1.7.1.2. Screenshot below. Any help? Suggestions? Fixes?

You missed his point. He said 'the ones that made it this far' would have some kind of weaponry to have made it this far, for protection against zombies and other hostile uninfected. Considering in real life it's far, far easier to acquire a shotgun or hunting rifle than a pistol with licensing and wait times, it kind of makes sense to start out with a civilian weapon. A makarov is a Russian weapon, and granted, the map is in Russia or somewhere thereabouts, but I'd still imagine it's still easier to get a Farmer Brown shotgun than a military sidearm.

I updated my Arma game with the latest beta for Arma2, and the 1.7.1.1 patch. When I started up in a server, my graphics looked blocky and chunky. I've changed my video settings all the way from min to max to see if this would fix it, no change. Is there a way to fix this?
