i always passed up this post because i though it was a clan thing, but i was wrong i see. so now i will keep an eye on it from now on. i'm half blind so live off the land is how i play the game or at least want to play it, but it's hard to do it by your self by getting the loot needed to live off the land . i hope that more crafts are added that don't depend on loot from houses and sheds.. -
good to see some one who plays like i like to play the game, the guys that I have played with don't stop running long enough to catch fish or hunt game . and the one guy that started to play with me don't play much due to his job. so it's the lone life for me i hope they do put more stuff in the game for the live off the land guys . i have over 900 hours in the game and have not killed any one, well other than one time in a zed attack when i killed my buddy by accident .

JOnathan are you the one who took a chain saw to the deer stand by Gorka to get the three chain saws that was in the stand , and removed it all tougher it's on the map but it's no longer there and it was one of my go to deer stands.

I agree, I feel he has some good points in his post. The hermit game play is a part of dayz. I think some of this will be in the game when it's finished. there is a lot of W.I.P. to be put in the game I do hope that the only PVP people don't win out in the end. I hope that there is room for the live off the land people, after all it's humans trying to not get killed by the infected. Live long and prosper and don't get infected.

You get kicked when B.E.stops receiving a message from the server , so just rejoin the server when it comes backup if it go's down at all. -

if you want more 1st person servers , then get your buddies to go in with you and rent a server and make it 1st person , and the same can be said foe 3rd person . in other words put your money where your mouth is, we did and we rented a server -
some of the things you talk of are planed on being in dayz.

at this time 3rd person servers out number the 1st person servers so 1st person players feel cheated -

The official dayz servers are the free servers given to B I by the server providers , when they rent out a number of servers they have to give B I a free server and the free server is called a official dayz server, a rented server can be called any thing the renter wants to name it, and to make the server 1st or 3rd person . -
