I don't think you can do that now ,But once mods are in you can do most of what you are wanting.

well for me being legally blind unless i use gamma at night i can't see a thing, but you don't have to worry as i don't do PVP , what most of you can read at 700 feet i have to be at 10 feet to read the same sign.

dayz SA is the only BI game i play it's what got me into online gaming i have no interest in the other BI games. It's the survival part of the game i play not into PVP.

For Vanilla I say: the Devs know what they want to do. Sqeezorz i agree with this. If they pick something that someone wanted in game then ok, but don't think they will put everything asked for in game.

When i first played dayz i was looking for a backpack went into a shed and two players showed up outside, and i said i just got dayz and one of them said "welcome to dayz" and then shot me. so don't feel like you're alone in this. Who knows maybe the next guy will help you to loot up.
