Whenever the server-admins wipe it or the devs implement sth. new which requires a wipe.

Must be a bug because any feature-based status also gives you a status message^^.

My mate has shaking hands too. Built a Fireplace for him and he got "rapidly warming up" for over 10minutes and is still shaking. It's deffinitley the hypothermia-thing cause he has no "cold" message. Had both to log off then - let's see how much time more it will take, to get him on a normal body temperature again. When "job ticket" means "bug report" - there is already one but the bi-manager said, that they can't reproduce the bug and think the whole thing is caused by desync, which will (hopefully) get fixed with 0.59. https://feedback.dayz.com/view.php?id=27070

It happend to me as well on a private server with no time acceleration. 30min to warm up seems to be just the normal time it takes. Some data: "I am rapidly warming up" --> + 0.001°C/s [Heat-comfort of 28 or above] "I am warming up" --> + 0.0001°C/s [Heat-comfort 18-28] normal body temperature: 35.8°C - 37.1°C hypothermic body temperature: 34.5°C and below So if you are almost hypothermic you have to compensate (35.8°C - 34.5°C = 1.3°C). If you warm up with the highest rate you need (1.3°C / 0.001°C/s = 1300s or 21.66 minutes). If you warm up with the second highest rate you need (1.3°C / 0,0001°C/s = 13000s or 216.66 minutes). Sorry about the calculating but that seems to be the best way, to make people understand the results. The time you experienced seems to be realistic compared to these numbers. Maybe it's just a buggy message^^ Edit: We could take a closer look if you describe the circumstances (cold server/warm server, rain, fire inside/outside...) Nevertheless, it would be great to get some additional informations from the devs^^

Zombie-hunter? What's about some "special-zombies" which (can) drop stuff, if you kill them? military zombies --> mags and ammo / nightvision-items doctor zombies --> medical items mechanic zombie --> tools etc. That would make zombie hunting real interesting for almost all groups of players, especially if the item's the zed drops can drop from zeds only

Ok the camp I plundered was more to the west. You have to blame someone else :D

Can you give us some more information like: - average number of players per day - spread of players across the map (do players prefer fast pvp or traveling across the map) - spread of the areas you've looted across the map As far as I know the respawn timer for a M4 is ~ 12hrs, so you maybe just missed the right moment and got into the next respawn cycle. West of Sinistok? Did you build a camp there which "disappeared" yesterday? :D (On Wobo)

Never said, that you loose no health ;) and what I said seems to be the "last chance", if you already have hypothermia and would die anyway. The best thing you can actually do, is to check your hands whenever you think that your char could be cooling off (soaked, rain,....). If you see the problem as early as possible, there is less temperature/heat to compensate. About the shaking and warming up: If you wear a down jacket or a raincoat you should be really safe. Standing still with the down jacket (soaked) is still dangerous but with enough movement it's really easy to stay "slowly warming up". However I had problems to "warm up rapidly" with a m65 jacket, hunting pants and athletic shoes. No problem with wellies, hunting pants and a down jacket so far. EDIT: First equipment: M65 jacket, skate helmet, balaklava, working gloves, hunting pants, athletic shoes --> Insulation: 18.46 New equipment: Ushanka, face mask, quilted jacket, hunting pants, working gloves, wellies --> Insulation: 26.86 (increase of ~45%) When I see this values I realise why I didn't get the "I'm warming up quickly" message. There is still some potential for a better insulation level left^^ https://youtu.be/APMEjPsQMVM Wobo-Tut about Hyper-/Hypothermia

While I was watching a stream yesterday, someone said, thaht you can survive "easily" by staying in the fire. Wait until you get ~ 10 "My face is melting" messages. (Hypothermia should be done now). As far as I experienced, fire does not damage your clothes atm (or only really slow) - don't know how it effects your health atm but I would recommend to do this, as long as you are fully hydrated and energized and close to the healthy status. I will test it when I get the bug next time. What do you think about a gas-heating? I start hating the situation, when you can choose between dying to hypothermia or lit a fire at a building (because of rain) and start waiting for someone entering and killing you, because he saw your fire. A gas-heating which isn't as effective as a campfire would be a balanced and sneaky alternative (imo).

nvm - thought it would be different - it isn't :D

Fog...why not :D And a "realistic" weather would also force the players to spend more time on their equipment. For a start I would be pleased with a more alternating weather-rotation and a more reliable heat-status. The last time I died of hypothermia, my char went from "normal" directly to "hypothermic". Basicly the only reliable information about your heat status is, if you're shaking or not. For some reason I'm also not able to wring out my clothes. About the raincoat: I keep on trying to find a black or green one in good condition. I wish there would be something like a "kit", that you can wear above other, non wather-proofed clothes.

Hotfix looks great, had a nice evening playing DayZ again^^ Thanks @ Devs Will the wheather stay the way it is atm for a longer period of time? Seems like the server decides on restart if it's a rainy or sunny day. In my case it kept raining for 5 hours...after the first 2 I died by Hypothermia - all heatpacks and fireplaces weren't able to rescue me . Finally we stopped playing for today - 5 hours of rain is enough :D What do you think would be a good weather-rotaion? Maybe a random decision between sun/rain every 1 or 2 hours? Did you also had crashes with a crash-mesage about memory reffering to ...?

Im playing with a GTX 980 and Windows 7 - no problems at all. Win10 might be really the reason for the crashes - my mates, who have already upgraded to Win10, also have problems with frozen screens.

Seems to be a buggy effect of the game. Fire and the evening-sun blind you but in the case of the fire, the complete screen turns dark. Just look in another direction and wait some seconds, then you get the normal "nightvision" again. Is there already a report at the bug tracker?
