The Zambie Crew has started a new [private] server just the other day that will be a roleplay server. Its called: Fight the dead, Fear the Living IP: 69.31.134.66:2502.

Hey, I have you know dresses are not stupid. They make my butt look nice and I can show off my starry underwear. Being in a ghillie suit or even anything remotely camouflage has never had an influence on whether zombies see you or not. I think it's a radius thing in the mechanics of the game. In general, ghillie' are a cool concept. Just one that in this game serves little to no purpose due to rendering. I can't tell you how many times that friends of mine and even myself have been killed before anyone else in the group who had little to no camouflage. It's definitely a rendering issue/distance.

I've never played the mod, but I can only imagine the amount of fuckery that would take place if there was rocket launchers or stinger missiles. xD I can see it now...you run into a small shed to look for burlap and get blown up by someone who finds it funny to blow you up. Or quickly haul ass into the barracks at the military base and someone comes by and shoots a missile down the hallway and destroys everything in its path lol I personally can't imagine what they'd implement to take down heli's, but if it's anything similar to the mod they might just keep us using guns and no heavy weapons (i.e. launchers or missiles).

Welcome to DayZ where nothing makes sense!! I'm kidding. It's a good game, but you might want to spend a few mins searching the forums. There are already a ton of posts as of the .58 update regarding loot and a ton of helpful answers as well regarding where to find things and how the new loot system works (I swear I answered this very question a few posts ago). There is already great tips for the OP (and others that might be asking the same). There is nothing that hasn't been said that I wouldn't of suggested myself. The thing is, is as this game changes, if you're not adjusting then you're being left behind and just left more frustrated. The fact that it is more challenging to find food and ammo is probably how the game was intended to be played. Just because you have to actually travel a little now and you can't just log into Cherno and run to the guard house now to gear up doesn't mean there is something wrong with the game. Just means you haven't moved forth and adjusted like most others.

It's not just you. Performance is bad in this alpha phase for a lot of people, me included. I did some Google searching to find ways to help optimize DayZ a little better and it seemed to help me, hopefully it can help you too. I found a video on YouTube that was made recently. A friend of mine got the same 'rumbling in bowels' message in which none of us has ever seen so naturally he got made fun of and we told him that the devs implemented crapping your pants into the game and we warned him he'd best watch out. xD But like most the other posts suggest sounds like you might have caught the sickness from pond water. I think this same friend I spoke about had just taken a drink from a pond. Ponds are tricky, you have to be really healthy to drink from one or you run a bigger risk of getting sick.

I often wondered the same. Here is mostly what I see since .58: - The Coastal towns I see mostly fresh spawns and that one (or group) of geared player(s)shooting anything that moves. - NE (mostly Kransnostav) and other smaller surrounding towns. And Svet and Berezino a lot of fresh spawns and a few geared players shooting anything that moves. - Going West I see a few in Novo. Stary Sobor and Severograd seem to have some action most days. It's where I've gotten caught up the last few times heading west. Other then that not much luck running into people on a full pop server anywhere else. I hear the surrounding cities to the NWAF too may have people as well. Me and a few friends were discussing this the other day, since we went to the NWAF and Myshkino tents in a very full server and didn't see a soul. We came to the conclusion it may be a reverse effect where people stay out of highly dangerous areas when they know it's possible to get killed. We were all dumbfounded to not find not one person at the two places I just mentioned. This could be a good thing. Makes players spread out over the map instead of in one concentrated area. Anywho, good luck in your search for people!

White arm bands don't hold any special meaning (to me), nor do I think it does globally around DayZ. It'd be the same as asking what does a red, blue, orange, etc mean. I didn't vote in the poll cause it means neither to me. I can still get killed regardless of what color arm band.

Me and a newly made friend of mine from the DayZ forums, McTabish, finally catching up to one another and playing a lil DayZ. We make our way to Novo and the rest is history. A huge hug and thanks to McTabish for being so awesome.

Lol! Nice. The experience I've had and seen others I've played with have is you get spotted easier with a ghillie suit then without! This was pretty funny though!

Yep weapon drop bug is still there. Happens to me nearly every time I play. And not just with weapons, but other items as well.

Like most have already said here, the state of the game is and unfinished one. Expect to have bugs, wonky loot distributions, and other challenges. Just hang in there Gunnaboom. It can only get better.

I understand what you're saying, but you completely missed what I was saying. Why go to the NWAF? To see people. There doesn't seem to be any anywhere else that I've seen nor experienced since the update. And for the most part I am not a KOS type player. But its nice to just find people in general and see what type of interaction you can create, and sometimes yes, you do have to shoot. I'm not sure if you're referring to me, but "he" isn't complaining about anything in the post I made because she (myself) was just simply replying to the OP and agreeing that I don't have the time I'd like to play DayZ either and because of that I don't want to spend hours upon hours getting geared up to make it North to be killed for it. Not that I was going North to kill. It seems if you want anything relatively decent it's towards the NWAF, or north in general. You're assuming something that isn't there and saying that I want to KOS other people but I don't want to be KOSed. No where in the post does it say that.

I see what the OP is saying. I don't have a lot of time either to spend in Dayz. While I don't want things handed to me in game, I don't necessarily want to spend hours trying to get decently geared up to lose it all in 30 seconds of arriving in the NWAF. I miss the coast being active with pvp in this update and at least being able to find a pistol in a coastal town and trying to get into a little action there instead of having to run north to find anything decent. It's sort of made the game a little boring for me. What I feel happened is we were introduced to loot being easily obtainable early on with little effort to find any. So now we are conditioned to that and when it's scaled down and some of that ease in finding loot is taken away we are now upset that it takes us so long to find anything, especially weapons, if we're lucky. Had it been more challenging like it is becoming now, we would be used to the struggle and hours it can take to gear yourself up.

This just in!!!! The implementation of booty shorts as well as the ability to pole dance on the light poles in all towns, and a new make it rain animation! @mctabish if that is going to be your clan uniform, I'd like to be the first in line to see!

Not at all. I don't think guns will ever be rare in this game. What I mean by that is the need for PVP will always here. Sure, guns and ammo with the new loot system have become more challenging to find but still very obtainable. I can't imagine them being any less then what it is now.

I understand what the OP is saying, however I personally would not want one hit kill. While yes it can seem more realistic, but from a gaming aspect it would take the fun of surviving after being shot (i.e. having to bandage, rushing to get saline, etc).

@ OP: It's definitely not just you. The hypothermia system is def broken. Same thing happened to a friend of mine while .58 was still in experimental phase. I'm surprised this was not fixed. He was sitting near a camp fire for about 8-10 mins and out of the rain and still died of hypothermia.
