Cause you know, after wandering around fully geared for 2 hours staring at the shiny new gun i have, i get this strong urge to engage in meaningful conversation with a fellow survivor and tell some jokes, and then wander around with company for another 2 hours aimlessly, Hell why not just rally up every player i see and prance through the magical fields of the west and have a giant picnic? We will play guitar, and tell story's of our magical adventures of picking up water bottles and snaring innocent bunny rabbits. point being you cant RIP on players because they PVP, chances are those players don't even want to be "PVP exclusive" it's that they don't have any fucking choice. Also it's a survival game and most often its just overall better to shoot first and ask questions later, unless you are faced against impossible odd's and communicating becomes the most effective means of survival. My play style involves me surviving using any means, if communicating allows me to survive a situation i will do it, if it's safer to shoot someone that has there gun drawn and has spotted me, then i will do that.

if your hinting at having a HUD like the developers mentioned that's it's pure blasphemy. Unless it's optional. And if it so happens that it's not optional then i guess i won't be planning on playing dayz in the distant future. But i'm pretty sure the community would freak out if some thing like that happened.

Omg this has been my biggest concern for months, that the set backs have taken away from content that could have been added, thats why i'm hoping they extend the development cycle for even long if that's the case. I think we all are concerned about that and it's exactly why people are so upset and unhappy and they are communicating this fear in forums. So when the game is released 2016 and half way to 2017, modding support will be released.. then modders take a year or two to develop amazing mods...so basically..2018-2019 we will have some thing worth while if dayz flops. Why don't we just round up to 2020 at this point lol. I guess people were right all along, Dayz truly will be released 2020 with enjoyable content.

New renderer - When will we see it or at least get some kind of timeline?

My biggest gripe is the lack of anything to do in between fire fights with other players. I always wanted to see players spread out across the map, this finally happened with the recent update, now i spend my time wandering around aimlessly, fully geared, and bored as hell, i cant imagine hiking out to NWAF again for the 4th time. Fingers crossed for "really good zombies" like blow your mind wow what a difference kind of zombies. I expect more then what the mod had in terms of game play. Technically this project could of been "Dayz 2" Dayz SA is even on the same map as the older dayz mod. We played the mod already, it's already been done. Like some people have mentioned it's like we have been playing this for 3 years now and its losing its magic for long term players. Most of us all have this expectations that one day some thing revolutionary is going to happen with Dayz SA, but in reality, its original vision is just a re done version of the mod. Which for most people is pretty boring, People want a change, they want to see the game to move forward not stagnate. The choice for the developers to refuse adding advanced infected was pretty depressing, The animal A.I for the bear looked amazing, this gives me hope. As of right now there is not much incentive to keep a long time player interested in the game. We need some thing to keep us busy late game. And i don't mean hording guns for your base, more like defending your base or your self from hordes of zombies that dont sound like a rusty trash compacter, immersive fun to fight, scary, zombies. -
I have been following development for a long time and have remained faithful and protected the alphaness of dayz. Honestly..i expect radical changes as well. And ill be pretty depressed if some thing ground breaking is not implemented. The game is very bland in between player encounters and once the initial glamour of being a new player wears off, it leaves you with very little to do. All i really expect is a mechanic, that keeps you going keeps you interested, gives you goals, progression, challenges you to survive beyond player encounters. I have discovered a play style that has allowed me to survive and dispatch other players without much threat. I play safe and usually always get the drop on other players...this gets boring quickly... I need some thing else to challenge me beyond players. If the zombies don't get a major over haul or at least some thing else to catch my interest and keep me busy then my confidence is obviously misplaced.

This is exactly where im at right now, boredom. I've had my character for 10 days now, 14 kills, fully geared, i have made 3 trips around the entire map. visited NWAF 4 times, been back to the coast 3 times. So yeaaah, nothing left to do but die and i don't think that will be happening anytime soon. This is why i argue that zombies really need some major focus and work. We need something to survive against, im all for rough weather also. one of my most intense moments is when it rained on the server for an entire day and it was literally a fight for survival against the elements, that was interesting. More then anything i want zombies that make sense, i believe they should be a game changer, Good A.I could change the game completely. Otherwise its just going to be another Dayz mod with a face lift, I got bored of Dayz mod quickly, great experience initially, but that magic wears out after awhile.

Ive played Dayz for 1000 hours total to date. Ive had it since launch. What we need is a strong PVE element. The best thing that could be done for Dayz is to focus on the zeds. I would like to see man different types of zed, slow moving, fast moving, crawling, aggressive, passive, unpredicatble. Breaking down doors, hordes clawing at buildings, breaking through windows, i want more then looting and shooting players. There a stagnant end game, combined with player life time progression, soft skills and base building...i believe this would put dayz in a really good place. They could add simple things to zombies, we all know if a zombie spots you hes going to run after you, and the player is either going to fight or flight. Lets say its night time..player aggro's a zombie so naturally he runs away. Instead of following the player mindlessly...why not add a mechanic so that the zombie stops screaming like a banchee, proceeds slowly (allowing the character to believe that hes broken aggro) and attempts to flank the character, in a more stealthy manner. as soon as the zombie gets close enough he can proceed to scream like a banchee. This would not be that hard to implement, maybe just adding code so that the zombie depending on the time of day and proximity to the player character, will stop all audio queue's, reduce speed, attempt to flank, maybe its more complicated then it seems. but it would make for a scarier and less linear zombie.

Ok, you got my interest. So where do you think this game is headed and what the future will be? Because my fingers are crossed for a radical change. Are you referring to up comming mods?

oh, i'm just comparing the numbers not the games themselves. Dayz has only sold half of what the witcher has, but when its released for console it could either come close, fall short, or exceed the sales of witcher. -

I kinda of got this feeling also. especially when the game first released. We heard nothing for what seemed like a long time for a game that hit so big. And this could of been why..things got busy quick. I have a bigger concern now, its about morale. I'm not going to point out anything, But i was not happy with that speech. On a more positive note, the clothing on characters, weapon art, and scenery is on a whole other level. Every other game looks cartooney to me in a sense, I'm not sure if you all agree with me but not only is dayz a unique game, the art is fucking impeccable and these guys deserve a round of applause. -

Chris said Dayz sales "pale's in comparison" to witcher 3 sales. I assume he does know that when its released for console...that number is gonna blow up. Especially to players who have never experienced anything even close to what dayz is. It may change the way the industry develop's video games.
