I had the same problem.... until I looked under the actual pine tree and found it. I looked in the wrong spot for almost a week! Now I have 2 barrels. AND I know where they are.

It was a long shot, but good to know that there are more friendly players out there. And yes Eno I always run with a pistol of some sort drawn on a full server.

I'm positive it was you guys(Eno and clan) who shot me just north of Berezino a month or so ago. I was fully kitted, and decided to go see what is happening in Svetlo with the fresh spawns after reading one of Eno's posts. As I was jogging through that wooded area just north of Berezino (right by that little bench overlooking town) when I heard a faint voice. Now not having a microphone I know this spells trouble! But it was faint so I jogged on but looked around. Then I noticed a guy approaching from my right side and he says "stop hands up !". I stopped and turned and he shot me! I heard him say afterwards "I had to! He just would not listen! He was not listening." It sounded like the guy was sad he had to shoot me! I wanted to meet this player and tell him gg!! So I got a lucky spawn at Solnichniya and started running to back to Berezino. By Nizhnoye I draw the attention of a sniper and had to zig zag, hide and crawl to get away. In southern Berezino another freshie started to harass me when I was looking for water. He kept on punching me and asking me why I don't run away? wtf? I had nothing on me but he kept going. So I spot a z(it was awhile ago) and ran to the z with dude following me. I circled the z and finally dude got in a fistfight with the z and left me alone. All this wasted a lot of time. When I got to the scene of the crime, my body was gone/hidden and my killers were gone. Oh well started looting my way inland to find a Winchester. Never made it to Svetlo.

I hate BurgerKing burgers. Once a week I go to a BK, get a burger, pay for it and eat it. Then I stand up and tell every one in BK how I hate the burger. The meat is like cardboard. The bun is stale. Guess what... the next week when I go back these as-holes are back! eating BK's.... wtf! I don't get it.

Just picked an M4 up in the NWAF officers tent. With mags and all. First one in 500 hours of play.

I found a truck shortly after spawning and looting through town I found a tire, toolkit and a battery. No glowplug. Moved on to the next town, and next ..... and finally found one. But now I'm so far away from the truck and chances are it's gone anyways. Oh well. There's now a deer stand north west of Stary with a glowpluck in it. I dropped it for some ammo. Lone wolfs don't need no truck.

A couple of days ago I spawned on Skalisky after an unfortunate incident that let to my untimely death. I proceeded to make a beeline up to my campsite south of Gvosdno, looting just what is necessary to stay alive. Knowing that there are no Z's and the server is fairly empty I was taking a lot of chances. Running in the rain into either Dolina or Gorka (wish I could remember ) I heard a heckuva racket that scared the living daylights out of me. Looking around I saw a herd of cattle, at least 5, running up the side street and then turning east and disappeared between the buildings. It was an awesome sight! Kudos to the dev's.

Just for shits and grins... go back to Starry, and go North-West. See if you get to the airfield.

I did a clean install... kinda, sorta anyways. I did a complete rebuild of my pc a few months ago and at the same time a clean WindowsXP Pro install. Then, using a Windows8 Pro keycard, upgraded to 8 and did the free 8.1 upgrade, installed the 2 programs I use and Steam/Dayz. This was done over a 2 day period. So my windows was about 4 months old when I did the upgrade to 10. 95% of what I do, I do on Linux. I keep windows for 2 apps I like and Dayz. (I call it my WinDayZ box) but.... I do like Win10. It's actually not bad at all and a huge improvement on 8. .

After the upgrade my sound was all screwed. An alert popped up every 3 seconds announcing that I plugged or um-plugged an audio device. un-plugging headphones had no effect. A complete un-install and re-install of the audio divers fixed it. Other that than all was well.

No candy bars or chocolate. The other day I was hanging around Novo, all alone, not even a z in sight, when the craving for a candy bar hit me. Very depressing....

Claim a town and hold it. Place a backpack with a written note strategically on the roof of the police/fire station and defend it with your life. Any one claiming to have taken the town will have to produce the written note. I will watch that for hours!

I'm with LoK.. It is fugly, I do 99% of what I do in Linux Mint and basically just dualboot to Windows for Dayz. I call that my WinDayz option ;-)

I have a similar setup except I have a SSD and a R9280X Do a history log of your CPU and GPU during gameplay. I'm almost convinced that that is not your issue causing lags.

It's easy. Skip the videos, don't click on them if you do not find them useful. There are others that do find them useful.

I was driving around in my truck and stopped in front of the police station in Lopatino, got out and looted get back in and drove on towards Vavilova where I saw some players. The server was about to reset so I got of the road and parked the truck in the woods and got out. Server reset and I spawn back into Lopatino on the street right in front of the Police station. I ran back to the truck but was KoS'd the moment I entered the woods where I left the truck . My question is... Is it a bug (re-spawning) so far from where I logged?

What Eno said, but also check where you log out. Your avatar stands around for 30 seconds(?) after you log. Find a save hiding place, I like woods, observer for a minute to see if you see an z's then log out. In the beginning I was killed logging out and a few times when I log in because I was in the middle of a town :-).
