You got what you deserved. I had just ran into the airfield, and got onto the roof of the fire hall... when someone else ran in behind me and another group started lighting the place up. After they had killed him, one of 'em was yelling through direct chat something along the lines of "Hahaha got you, you fuckin gay faggot!". That kind of language is a little uncalled for. So, after you had ceased shooting and were starting to retreat it looked like, I sat up. Bang. Bang. 2 of you dead. (AS50 works wonders). Now, I'm not sure how big your group was.. and if the next 2 or 3 people I killed just so happen to be there at the same time... Anyways, I lied down for a little while waiting for more people to pop out. I saw a guy heading towards the back of the hangers. Bang, dead. Waited a little more.. another person behind the wall, behind the hangers came into my sight. Once on my side of the wall, bang. Dead. I thought it was over. Nope. A wild bus has appeared! One of em was dumb enough to try crossing the airfield after I just reigned death upon the group. I switch to my NATO rounds. One shot - front and back right tires gone. One more shot, driver is dead. Again, I wait a little longer to make sure the coast is clear. Right when I think it is I crouched up.. and hear gun shots all the sudden. I don't believe they were directed at me though... So I get patient again and lay down. After a few more minutes of sitting still.. POP POP.. POP! Someone had climbed the tower just north of the fire hall and was shooting at me. Thankful for their bad aim, I take cover immediately. They continue to shoot at me, unable to get a clear shot. Now this is where it gets shady, but don't worry.. Karma has its role. A zombie climbed its way up the tower to the shooter and started wailing away. The person kept shooting at me while moving around trying to avoid the zombie. They must have been panicking.. which led him to DC to shake the zombie, and avoid me shooting him. I wasn't gonna let that make me think everything was clear. I patiently wait for him to log back in. Sure enough, he did. Except I never noticed for a bit... because he had been knocked unconscious for probably logging out with shock. I crouch up, and finish him off. Moral of the story - No unnecessary crude language, and don't DC to avoid death. Oh yeah, I recorded the whole thing too. I'll post it here if I get around to it. Definitely broke my DayZ, along with many others. Check the Troubleshooting section.

To all those talking about reinstalling, I really doubt that's going to help. It seems with this new update from steam for ArmA, DayZ is outdated.. which results in us being auto-kicked.

Hopefully some devs are active right now.

Forgot to mention this, my steam updated arma as well right when this started happening.

I'm getting kicked after 1 or 2 seconds once I'm in the server's lobby. Happening on all servers so far for me.

I just now all the sudden am being kicked. When I join the server and get to the lobby I am there for about 1 or 2 seconds before getting kicked. I've tried several servers... all the same. I am getting no error reports or anything. What's the dealio?

Launch your game. Go to the link provided. Search a/your server. Copy the IP address. While in the in-game browser click "remote". Paste the IP address. Profit.

Are you changing just the 3D resolution?

I was loading a server, got stuck (which is normal for me)... So I restarted my game and now I'm getting these messages once I'm to the multiplayer screen. It won't let me find any servers in game.

Seems a lot of people are getting this, me too. Apparently just gotta wait. If you stay in the server you're in you should be fine. It's just the browsers that are down it seems.

Who else are we supposed to have target practice on? Gotta get that MLG quick scope skill down.

I'm currently entirely unable to play. I keep getting stuck at the plain Loading screen. I can tell if I'm going to get in a game... After getting to the lobby and hitting ok, it'll say Receiving < Loading < Waiting for Character to create < Loading < Receiving < Setup Complete, please wait. That's a successful attempt at joining. But all I get is to the first Loading screen, then it just stops and hangs there.. Forever. I watched a movie while I let it sit on that screen and nothing changed.

I was fine here on 1.7.2.3/Beta 95208 last night... try logging in this morning and all I get is never ending loading screens.

This here did help a lot on one of my friends' computer. He was running a Intel E8500 dual-core & GTX 560ti.

Apparently this helps people a ton. Go to Documents < ArmA 2 < ArmA2OA.cfg and change: GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3; to GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1; Also, some servers are far more laggy than others. Some struggle with object cleanup, while others have absolutely no problems. Try several different servers to see if you notice a difference.

Alright, so basically 95% of servers I try to join all reject me due to a bad version. I notice in the game browser it says I have 1.61, and where it says "Required", in red letters it says I need 1.61.95054. Now, I had already had that version.. but oh well, I try to go install it again. When I try to install that version... It's telling me I have a later version (1.62) and can't install the 95054. I never even installed anything after this beta patch. What's going on here? Edit: Ok, so apparently my six launcher updated me to 95168. Anyone know a safe way of downgrading?
