During my time playing DayZ I have encountered a lot of people under the age of 16. I can't help but feel that these people haven't had time to experience the world and learn how things work, let alone the game development process. I have no problem or qualms with the speed of the process and accept that it'll be ready when it's ready.

Totally man, BI are way too smart to release an unpolished game to consoles because of the potential bad publicity that comes with it.

This. Alpha is there to implement all of these features and see how they work together, once everything has been added they can optimize everything in one go instead of doing it on a feature by feature basis only for optimization it to go tits up when the next one gets implemented.

The food situation is not dire, it's absolutely spot on. The chance of picking an apple has been increased by an estimated 30 - 40% which tied be over while I made my way from Kamy towards Stary. Once I got to Stary I began checking the CLE hotstpots which I believe are all cars, outhouses and deer stands as well as checking all the houses top to bottom. In the end I ended up with far too much food to carry but lost it all when I directly swapping my backpack for a new one because it disappeared into the ground.

Seriously, just get off the coast. But I do find that some servers will have more loot than others but this could also be down to location. Some quadrants of the map have more loot than others and while I'm pretty sure this isn't how it should be, it doesn't make the game 'Massivly unplayable'

I could have used this piece of advice a few weeks ago.. handling the V3S is like a mini game and if you lose = you dead.

Or instead of whining about it they could contribute to the development of the game and report any bugs etc they come across.
