    I still found some pretty big piles on several servers but there is new loot spawning in the houses so the situation seems to clear up slowly.

    I guess that mapping happened before the loot piles on the police car locations showed up. Or do the piles have the correct items distribution and just the wrong location? Beside the problems with the loot piles I think that .58 is a great version.

    The devs confirmed that items that have been picked up are not considered anymore and don't prevent items from respawning.

    The M4 spawning can also be implemented with categories: Create a category "us-military-loot" and put the M4 in it and only assign this category to us crash sites and you are done. And we saw often piles of similar items e.g. clothing in the gun houses. But I think we talk about the same thing - I just think that there is no table that defines the items that can spawn on a certain location any more (=loot table). The goal of the CLE is to break up the tight and hard to change "loot for location" configuration. I guess that the categories configuration is not stored in the game files but is loaded during runtime from a server so they can change the loot distribution without updating the game (like it happened with the box of nails).

    I think a dev mentioned that persistence has been working for some time. The respawning algorithm is not working correctly and so persistence was disabled.

    Yesterday evening I was also looking for other players around stary/veresnik/green mountain/nwaf on a full server. In three hours of playing I did not see anybody. Lirik played on exp yesterday and he saw many bambies on the coast... I think that the concept of "loot tables" is not used with CLE any more. From my understanding it works like this: Spawn points have categories and a yield factor assigned. Each item belongs to multiple categories (e.g. industrial, military, ...) and also has a factor assigned how common the item is. So there is no table that defines what items a location can spawn any more. The server monitors the number of items and if the number is too small it starts spawning in new items. To spawn e.g. a can of food the CLE selects a spawn point that has the according categories assigned. Some buildings should have a higher yield and are selected with a higher probability. Since buildings currently don't have a "max number of items" check (mentioned in one of the recent status reports) and the selection is not random some buildings are always selected and we have a loot pile in there. The CLE seems to work after a persistence reset and populates the map not too bad. It's not random enough if you ask me because certain houses always spawn a winchester after a reset. But the respawning with persistence is obviously broken. My theory for the "police car loot explosions" is: the dynamic events were disabled for some time and got enabled now. The yield factor of the dynamic event locations is high compared to other locations and since there is no max item number check they are selected over and over again. This is only true for the according categories: Military items still spawn in tents since the police cars probably have no military category assigned.

    Did the same thing by accident. When finally found a pond I went prone in the water - after a few seconds my internet went down. After joining the server I was greeted with the "You are dead" screen. I guess I drowned after loosing the connection when I was diving. And this just happened after I finally had crafted the leather vest and wanted to try color it in a barrel <_< Did somebody try if picking up a burning fireplace and not cooling off in a pond afterwards will eventually kill the character? Is the "stuck hunger/thirst status" bug completely fixed? After repawning in Solnichniy I found one can of tuna - that was enough to not get hungry/thirsty until I left the server (looted from Solnichniy to Dolina and logged out just before Polana). Usually I would not expect to get that far with one can of tuna without getting hungry.

    I'm also in the central european time zone... this weekend I'm away from my gaming pc but apart from that I'd be open for a meeting in experimental chernarus.

    I played on a 1pp uk server for some hours and had good performance and no crashes. Did not see anybody (no zombies and no players). Are some of you playing on the uk servers? One strange thing happened: I dropped a crossbow right after the "server restarts in 60s" warning, picked it up and searched a nice tree to logout (this took maybe 30 seconds). When I logged back in I had the crossbow and it was also duplicated at the position where I dropped it before. Can anyone try to confirm this?

    Status Report - 30 Jun 2015

    Thank you for the status report - I really like that it's detailed and also mentions technical details! I think it's a good game mechanic to have a weapon sway that punishes long sprinting/carrying a heavy backpack. As it was mentioned by others it is important that the player has options to do something against the sway e.g. change position for weapon resting or go prone. I know that the current system is just a placeholder - what I really don't like about it: the sway looks like the gun is plotting a mathematical function.
