Unable to record with Dxtory in latest stable build

Hey gang, I'm still unable to record DayZ in the latest stable branch using Dxtory (records black screen, audio only. works fine with CS:GO and Rocket League). I've set all DayZ and battleye.exe's to "Run as Administrator", but that didn't fix it. I've tried every Dxtory video codec under the moon - all of them record the same black screen. The mouse cursor DOES record, which is kind of odd. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi? Any ideas? EDIT: I downgraded Dxtory to version 2.0.136, and the problem is fixed! Hopefully this helps someone else down the line.

Unable to record with Dxtory in latest stable build

I've never tried recording from a borderless window in Dxtory - always recorded fullscreen, with no problems. Just tested it with Counterstrike and Rocket League, and it's working fine. There doesn't appear to be any "borderless window" settings within Dxtory. For fun, I just tried recording DayZ in windowed mode, and it the recording wouldn't start. Very strange

Unable to record with Dxtory in latest stable build

aye, that was me! 64-bit client hasn't worked with Dxtory since it released (battleye blocks it), but the 32-bit client worked fine until .61 moved to stable. Unlike the 64-bit client, which Battleye blocks with a pop-up notification, there's no Battleye message saying the 32-bit client is blocked. Dxtory seems to record like normal, but after recording, the filesize is a fraction of what it should be, the video is entirely black, and the only thing that records successfully is the audio track. I wonder what they changed to make Dxtory act this way... it's a mystery!
  4. Hey gang, Ever since .61 hit stable, I've been unable to record my gameplay using Dxtory. It worked fine in experimental, but now, it only records the audio and the video is completely black. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

64-bit client blocks recording with Dxtory

Hey Hase, thanks for all the info! I'll get in touch with them now
  6. Hey gang! I just played a few hours on .61 experimental using the 64-bit client, and I thought I was recording my gameplay with Dxtory as usual - but at the end of my session, I noticed this BattlEye error (file blocks): Using the 32-bit client, this file block does not occur, and Dxtory records in pristine 1080p 60fps - but using the 64-bit client, this file block occurs as soon as I hit record. Dxtory gets stuck on "Initialize" and never actually records anything. I'm using the 64-bit Matrox MPEG-2 I-frame HD codec which, up until now, has always worked fine. Any idea what causes this? Will it eventually be patched so that I can record 64-bit DayZ using the 64-bit Matrox codec? Or will I have to find some other way to record... Thanks, Gunstar

    Wolves to Slaughter (2:40)

Surrounded by a wolfpack on a deer stand, I decide to kite them to a nearby military installation. I heard gunshots along the way, and I hoped that someone could take care of the wolves - but I found out that if you run from one beast, you may run into something even worse.

    Four wolfpack encounters

Here are three videos containing four encounters with wolves. Based on the evidence, it looks like three dead wolves will ALWAYS make the rest of the pack flee in fear. There doesn't appear to be any "alpha wolf", and it doesn't matter which color wolves you kill. I hope you enjoy :) THE WOLVES MORE WOLVES THE MERCHANT

Cherno by Gunstar Pocket Runtime: 4 minutes, 50 seconds Mini-Synopsis: This is a montage of encounters inside/around the newly remodeled Chernogorsk. I've always loved Cherno, but the "New Cherno" is better than ever. The city is huge, but you can still hear gunshots from one end to the other. Plenty of buildings to loot, survivors to meet, and zombies to shoot.
  12. "Hang In There" by Gunstar Pocket Runtime: 10 minutes, 6 seconds Mini-Synopsis: This is a highly-edited PVP montage video chronicling my journey from Berezino to Balota. Ultra-Synopsis (SPOILERS AHEAD): I get murdered while looting a body in Cherno. With a Berezino spawn, I work my way down to Elektro and Cherno, killing and upgrading from a Trumpet to a Repeater, Repeater to Winchester, and Winchester to Mosin. I finally arrive at Balota and discover an unconscious player in the hangars - I try my best to save him, but old habits die hard.

    "Waiting for .59" - a PVP montage (9:38)

"Waiting for .59" by Gunstar Pocket Runtime: 9 minutes, 38 seconds Synopsis: This is a highly-edited montage of pure DayZ PVP. I don't make a lot of friends, but I make a lot of fond memories. And needless to say, I'm psyched about .59! I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed slaying ;)
  14. It's a lot easier to say what Dean Hall SHOULD have done - but the truth is he did the best he could in the position he found himself in. DayZ was his first rodeo. There was no official guidebook on "How to Develop and Publish a Brand New Video Game Out of the Bones of an Arma 2 Mod That You Created For Fun". I think Dean gets a lot less credit than he deserves for the job he did.
