Maybe the first sign of being infected :-O /e points ZOMBIE!

Biggest problem in apocalypse is that you meet someone nice, they are friendly, you go to sleep, they slit your throat. The end.

I think the end game is crazy maniac in the mountains that eats people and has peoples skulls surrounding his camp full of traps and he's armed to the teeth and even the mountain lions won't hunt there. :-D

Wow a lot of people responded to this one. I would say the problem here is the server you were on. I have been a bambi on several servers and ran all over trying to survive and came across the same difficulties. Everywhere was picked clean. All I had was a stone knife and a water pump. I ran from water pump to water pump, but there was no food except for apples and berries and that is just too boring, but will do in a crunch. Town after town no matter where I went was looted clean like someone vacuumed everything. I just left that server and went onto a different one and then got my shopping cart and started filling it up with goodies. Try a server switch and watch out for the zombies when your a bambi. :-D Luck!

I hide my backpack and grab the military tent and run full speed to an out of the way location, setup the tent and run back for the backpack. Easy Peasy.

I was a bambi and logged onto the public server I have been goofing around on testing things on stable and I ran to the base south of the nw airfield and landed in a splosion. By the time I left I was still missing a can opener and an axe. Sometimes it's fun and sometimes it's plain silly and sometimes it's just boring. I ran over into some bushes about a mile away and logged out thinking that was the easiest re-arm I have ever seen. I'll have to check for tents tonight and some out houses.

I'm glued to the ground mostly while in inventory screen. You can move with the inventory screen open? That would make searching lots easier.

Ya sks ammo is everywhere. Mostly it is right underneath you but you can't see it. I have a Logitech g600 mouse, so I put tab in a button next to my thumb. I can take 2 steps tap tap take 2 steps tap tap and search real nice in tents. Nothing is there visibly, it's sunk into the ground a couple inches. I ground search about 6 times in a tent. 4 corners, 2 in the middle along the sides. So I get in 1 corner and go 1 2 3 hang a left into the next corner and go 1 2 3 on the way back out. I'm pretty sure everyone does that right? %^)

Gearing up is fun! Early on, I used to go hide in the mountains and eat bugs and grow a long beard and starve and die of thirst almost to keep my gear safe. Now I just feel like I can't go to the party in shorts and carrying a shovel. I want to get dressed up nice and find a nice rifle that I can call Veera and dress her up nice and then take her out to party! It is lots of fun to just have some dumpy clothes and a sks with cartridges and no food, so you can dive in everywhere blasting and laughing.

Well, it's hard to say. People are cleaning those crash sites out spotless. So it's hard to say if the loot is elsewhere or cleaned out well. I did a grid search once and found a pile of stuff in about a 10 by 10 area about 300 feet from the crash, I believe I was nw of the crash at that point. Another time I was just searching the ground on and off fast as I ran toward the crash and found 2 rifles and some other gear when I was about 200 feet from the crash. I'm not sure if people are moving it away from the crash so they can come back for it or what. I know one thing though, I am sweating bullets when lots of people are on and I am out in the open like that. :-P

The new dynamic reticle looks nice but is still inaccurate for hipfire :(
Excanto replied to Anax's topic in General Discussion
My opinion appears to be very different. In the old west and still today, fast draw shooters hip fire and are extremely accurate, shooting bottles out of the air etc. Once you fire the gun enough, the aim becomes part of your arm. Now as for this game, the old dot target always needed to be aimed to the left and a little higher, for instance at 20 feet I would aim at the left edge of the zombie at his elbow to hit him dead center stomach. If you hold your mouse very still and aim and then switch to sights you will see where you are really aiming and how much you would need to correct, some practice and you will find aiming to the left some fixes the missing issue. My opinion, the target should be accurate with the dot or the new ( ) style, accurate to some extent, having it off left and high is silly. I love shooting from sights but when I am getting rolled by multiple zombies or players, I have to go in and out of sights mode to move fast to another shooting location and it makes it very difficult, along with the fact that sometimes I accidentally get stuck in sights mode and crawling along when I don't want to during a difficult fight. -
LOL. The ole Bambi first ploy eh. :-D

I saw a land mine in a police station and I started over towards it and then thought WOAH! I decided not to go near it. I'll never know if it is spawned and inactive or set and ready to blow my face off.

The last place I found one was the house that has nothing but a cabinet inside the door to the right and then stairs up to a small living room and 2 doors with small rooms, the first door on the right has a desk and a cabinet and the scope was inside the cabinet on the shelf. I couldn't believe my eyes because I have never seen anything in that room but a pair of shorts on the floor. it was pristine and I was very happy.

I've been meaning to try the sporter and see if I can clear out a city of zombies without getting ambushed by a horde of them. The axe gets your gear smashed, other rifles get you ambushed. The mosin from a distance seems to call more zombies onto the street and by the time I circle the town picking off what I can see from the hill tops, there are more spawned and if I have to fire a single shot downtown, I get trained.

Anyone else having trouble finding a PS0-1 scope in the past week?
Excanto replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
On the private server I am on, there is nothing, mostly everywhere. After running the entire map over the weekend, finding only junk and food, I decided to jump on my public character and the first server I stopped in at had lootsplosion in the barracks south of NW airfield. There were ak74's everywhere, 1 akm and a couple mags and a pristine pso-1 scope on the top bunk. I have never seen a scope under the beds. The only thing good I have found under there was 75 round mag. The loot for the crashed helicopters is usually not near the helicopters at this time. Last crash site I was at the loot was a good 100 feet away from the crash. I think it might be that the loot is in the same place and the crash is moving around. ?? -
So last night was an update or whatever and I'm wondering if my army tent will be gone when I get home tonight? I only had food/drink and repair kits and some cartridges in the tent, but still, I love that tent. (crosses fingers)

Oh, maybe you hit the invisible zombie! I saw a zombie in a field and I was going full speed by the time I got to him and I was giggling and splat I hit him and heard glass break and the truck rolled onto it's side, then rolled over completely twice and came back up on it's wheels and I was unharmed. The whole time I was crashing I was thinking "That's it, my gear is toast, I'm toast, how could a zombie flip my big heavy truck going straight into him?" No damage that I could see to my gear, luckily. If a visible zombie can do that, maybe you hit the invisible one. :-D Stop, stop! Can't you see me, give me some brains, I mean a ride! Splat!

I tried to cook last night and the logs would not stack and the fire went out in about 30 seconds with 2 logs, not long enough to cook a mouse.

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
Excanto replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
From all the zombie movies I've watched, if your not too important to the movie, you can be killed in 1 hit. If your a main character, then you have a hidden bite that turns you into a zombie without anyone knowing and they find out when the hot girl gets into the truck alone with you and say's "I think we are finally safe". %^} -
So far when I have the jump on someone and say "how's it going?" and I have my machine gun pointed in their direction, it shows I am not going to kill them unless they give me a reason too. Things usually work out pretty well at that point if they are friendly. Sadly I have heard people say "How's it going?" and shot me the moment I stopped, cause I'm an easier target stopped. I have had people shoot at me when I kept running while I said "hiya" back to them. I have had people who acted friendly for a few minutes until we were saying goodbye and they got the drop on me and blam! Sadly I don't trust anyone anymore, unless they are my friend and in the game with me and even then they sometimes accidentally shoot me "LOL" cause this game is tense. If I see someone I usually hide and watch and follow them and see what they are up too, cause it is like playing the game with someone, only they don't know it. :-D But they usually vanish because it's hard to follow off to the side and stay hidden and stay up with them. I'm on a private server now and we chat in team speak and they all know each other and no one shoots anyone unless someone they don't know well comes on.

We should be good, but always watch the notes from the dev's on updates, because they might suddenly say differently. FYI that big tent can't be held in hands. I was very very glad to see it Wednesday night when I got home from work. :-O
