Best thing to do is just keep moving and if you search about 15 buildings in a town and find absolutely zero, I would just leave and forget the rest of the buildings. Keep moving and head to the next town. Hit all the military bases because it seems they are the places that get the loot splosions, which it a ton of spawns in a small area. Once you find a large pile of loot, most of the surrounding buildings will be the same. You can get more loot than you can carry there and pickup all those items you have been missing. I find food all over, bottles and canteens in tents, rifles in barracks. I just ran over 3 akm's and several other rifles and pistols and food etc at the nw airfield. I just pop over there to fill up my bottles and grab a couple cans of food on my way from one place to another. I can only carry 2 rifles and don't use pistols, so I step over a lot of weapons in my travels. I waltzed past 3 cows and a buck in the town south of the nw airfield. Luck!

Ok the way some of you are talking, the pvp soon is gonna be an apple fight. If you get hit with an apple you have to give up your berries. Run into me and I'll say "Brought and apple to a gun fight" :-P~~ I jog everywhere, no walking, no sprinting. I find that sprinting makes me thirsty/hungry fast and maybe to dart across an open field if I know a bandit is nearby, otherwise jogging. The climb up the ladder hunting blinds and guard towers, seem to have ok loot. I think I'll try completely emptying a bunch and then circle around and see if anything spawns. I've been doing some donating the last couple days. Since Backpacks seem to stay put, I've been dropping extra items in them when I can spare them. My stable characters must being covered with spider webs by now.

I just don't want to see another video of someone in experimental that has 5 tents and 16 fully kited rifles, 8 pistols, 3000 rounds and 62 magazines, 400 cans of food, 29 bottles of water, 12 sets of military clothes, 2 trucks with 8 fuel cans, 8 med kits fully stocked and 3 fireplaces roasting deer, boar and cow meat. I think we may need to setup the loot so you can see everything, instead of stuff buried under other stuff. The way it is, people pick up every item and move it to see what is underneath and then they move on. Sadly all that loot vanishes soon after. So if you needed any of that stuff under that book, your out of luck. If you could see everything, people could just grab those 308 rounds under those cans of peaches. I'll have to test what vanishes and what doesn't. I am on 1pp and I have all of the standard gear except military pants and med kit and still no nets for ghillie. I have a ton of 22 and 308 with the sporter 22 with two 30 rd mags and a Winchester 70. Lots of food and bottles so far.

I'll be running along in the tall grass and suddenly hear a chicken. That's about the only way I know of to find a chicken. Make sure your sound is up.

Hmm, has anyone seen any net lately? I have quite a few strips saved up and want to make a ghillie hat and rifle cover. I've passed a few boats and have not seen a thing near them. My cooked chicken made me overheat, I suppose if I cook again, it will have to be near camp and I'll toss the hot food into the tent until it cools off. Emptyness is what I am currently finding. Empty towns, Empty houses, Empty military bases. It really is starting to look like the zombies killed and ate everyone and then went to Disneyland.

Empty the seed pack into your inventory and the packet will be gone and you will have a pile of actually seeds, put those in your hand to plant.

Ok fyi, on SouthEast2 0-2 way out west in the tents at the farthest to the west tents, there is a on it's side pickup near a couple tents and a truck and that is where you will find a Winchester model 70. I didn't touch it so it should still be there unless someone gets to it first. Lots of 308 ammo around so all you need is a hunting scope after that and you are rolling. I was heading east and finally saw a Buck! I creeped up on him and the server said "You are going to be kicked off because the server is restarting" I logged and when I came back, the buck was gone..gasp. My search for military pants and a few scopes has me tearing thru my food and water. Oh also on Southcentral 0-2 there is a IZH-18 Rifle in nw airfield, approaching from the south on the east wall, as soon as you see the hangers on your left the first guard tower along that east wall next to the hangers as you get there from the south. Also in the tents are at the north east corner in the tents next to a truck the guard tower has a chain saw. Pass and Pass. Ok so I made a bunch of fires out in the wilderness and they worked great. Cooked some chicken, overheated from hot chicken in my jacket pocket, There was no pond around to cool off in so I stripped and prayed the server wouldn't suddenly crash. Ran way over to my tent and grabbed that 762 x 54mm ammo, just in case :-D. A great place for a tent is out in the middle of the map where there are no towns, no ponds, no houses, no loot, no one, nothing but trees and the only way anyone would even see it is if they were totally lost and fell over it.

As far as I have seen, yes. I have 20 and dumped them in my tent cause I have no clue what uses it. Now..OH CRAP! As soon as I get home, I'm gonna run to my tent PANT PANT!!!

On Black Friday, buy a Lenovo with an open pci-x slot for cheap and drop that nice card in there, ya may have to upgrade the power supply. Then you will have a kinda Frankenstein like me. Machine was $199.00 and power supply was 89.00. I love Black Friday Sales.

I haven't had this happen yet, what the truck on a hill and moving a bit? Did you jump out fast right as you stopped? Was the engine on? I stop in a flat spot, shut down engine and notice the cab still moving a bit like a shaking. Once it settles down I get out. I'll probably die by truck tonight.

So far when things vanished on me, I log out and come back in and they are there again. I haven't tried that lately, because I haven't had anything vanish that I cared enough about to logout. :-O I guess I will try some making fireplaces testing tonight and see if I can't find an oak tree and an ashwood tree. Also, no I haven't seen any animals in the wild yet. Some cows on the coast but since I went inland I have only seen hobbits peeking at me from behind the bushes.

Ouch, sorry to hear about these problems. Yes there are some odd things happening in experimental right now. To get anything stuck in your hand out, start to climb a ladder and it pops out at the bottom of the ladder. I found things in inventory wouldn't move within the same bag, but you can move it to another location and then back into that bag into the different spot you wanted to pick. Lots of little buggy things just take a little finagling to get around.

It seems like it's spring in the game. I was in between some big mountains down near a dried up creek and I noticed steam coming from my breath. Maybe it was the last cool spot. I think you can still run around naked and get cold, cause it's not summer yet. Ya I have full gear on and m65 jacket for a couple days, sprinting, sneaking with no problems. By the way, thanks to everyone for the hints lately. I was able to find cargo pants in the two building garages, like the ones north of the tracks north of the nw airfield. I still have not seen a pair of military pants or a first aid kit in the last few days.

Ya was trying some crazy things and died about 4 times in an hour and I popped up in the same place all 4 times. The dice roll sometimes acts weird.

Best protection is a well hidden tent with all your best gear in it. I run around with almost nothing but a rifle with 20 rounds and 2 cans of food and 1 canteen and 6 bandages. I look for gear and if I am shot, I just eat apples and run to my tent to get my 1 backup rifle. If someone finds my tent, I cry and look for another tent.

I had a nice run last night. Found a damaged long range scope and then a mosin and it would not attach. I chucked them both because I have no rounds for mosin anyway. I found 6 assault vests in a sand bag post at the very north of NW Airfield 20 feet to the south from the gate on the road. It's the 3 walls of sand bags about 4 feet high. A bunch of assault vests were in the same spot on another server later that night. I found a SKS next to a tank there in the tents. I found a winchester 70 and then a sporter 22 in guard towers. I found someones purple backpack floating in the air a couple feet out of a guard tower which I could loot from in the tower and on the ground underneath it. Thanks for the info on cooking with an ash stick and starting a fire with bark etc..I'll have to try that soon. Currently I have so much food that I am eating it just to make more room in inventory. It this keeps up I will change my name to stuffed.

I want some clothes that look like zombie clothes. I want a listing stooping wobbly walk, so I can creep around towns in safety. I will make moaning gurgling sounds and drag one arm down low and hold the other one out extended and say stuff like "mmmmmmm brains".

Does driving the truck out to prison island still work? I've tried pushing that poor truck to it's limit's. Zooming off the map was a mistake. I sank under the ground a couple feet and slide down the hill like I was in a land slide. I drove the truck into the water when I was kinda bored and it went and went, so I kept going and pulled up on the small strip of land off the shore of prison island. Looted and drove back. I think I had zombies in the back at the time. Last night I was on the north tracks and heading over a bridge overpass and it fell through and flipped about 6 times and righted itself and I went through the trees and bypassed the bridge. There were no zombies last night. I drove up to nw airfield and parked near the chopper crash and found a ump45 and a pristine scope for it, no mags. Oh and I was in the tent area and in the domed barracks where I usually find the military tent and I found an ammo box under a bunk, 3/4 submerged under the floor. After a long long run and drive, I only had a trumpet to shoot. Fire station at the nw airfield had only fire helmets and axes mostly.

Ya I have seen this on the last two trucks in the last two weeks. Nothing, no icons, nadda. I ran around like a mad ant. There was no way I was leaving that truck as I found it. I was gonna put a mine underneath it and blow myself and the truck up. Luckily as I ran around it and got close and further away and near the front and boom, suddenly it said open the hood. I did and closed it and ran around and moved my position a little bit at a time. Open door, get in truck, shut door, start engine!!! I guess it was just a little shy and didn't want to be driven until it got to know me and knew I was gonna blow it up if it didn't open. :-D

I usually find matches pretty fast, but no I haven't heard anything about starting a fire with nothing but a stone knife? Cooking without tripod and pot and water and tons of wood? Most of the people talking about how to cook explain it like this, make a fire and cook dat stuff boyeee, ya just like dat. Last time I tried to cook I had a ton of gear for cooking and and the wood burnt up in 20 seconds, fire went out even though I put in more wood, meat only changed color once after 30 minutes of cooking and still said raw.

Yes, exactly. Plus when the players run thru to pull all the zombies out of town I will chase them and then POP! POP! POP! POP! :-D

Ouch, ya it has been tough for me as well the last couple weeks. People say leave the coast, but last night I found lots of stuff on the coast on the way to the apple orchard. No food though. I ended up trying out some steak tar tar and went unconcious from sickness a bit later. I'll have to remember, when it says "you feel very dizzy" that is the point to throw all my gear in the bushes cause I'm about to face plant. Ran again and stayed on the coast, apple orchard and then off to the north and nothing and nothing and every door was open, every outhouse was open, every car trunk was open, lol. The other players are very thorough in their searching. I was starving somewhere close to the tracks way up north and all I had found by that time was 43 wool coats and 42 hats. :-O

Hmm which reminds me ) last night the zombies were everywhere and I was tapping them with single shots to the head with the 22 and not pulling aggro from the rest which was cool. Decided to axe fight a few and see how the action was and the zombie ran up and right before it reached me, it warped badly and vanished and appeared and warped badly and vanished again and reappeared. Gasp. I was on a sever that was at 65 ping and everything else was running smooth.
