I was in and out with sounds last night, sometimes there sometimes not.

I ran for about 3 hours, trying things, dodging zeds, looking for gear. I think if I win the lottery, I'll buy a house with lots of land and plant about 100 apple trees, then everyone can come there during the apocalypse and stay alive. Got into decent condition and heading inland. Saw a tent and passed it over. I have an axe and a bottle and a canteen and a decent jacket. I was just starting to get worried and found a rope and burlap sack and made a backpack. Darn sleep time..Very smooth run, no crashing.

I was on southeast 1pp and there were zeds...no animals spotted yet.

Only way I have found to unstick something in my hands is to go up a ladder.

So, ya darn. 2 UK servers and an Aus server popping up and down and no go on the join cause bad version. Sigh. It was odd last night, I started in a weird place I've never started before. I'm usually on the coast. This time I was on a sloping hillside with a small scattered but fairly robust town with some larger buildings up the hill and I was just out in the open and had zombies in visual range. I ran around and did the best I could then headed west and I ran along a stream for ages and passed a couple really nice looking ponds and just when I was sure I was totally lost, I saw the fence and guard towers of NW Airfield. I've never come in from due east before. I must have run almost the whole map from east to the NW Airfield and didn't see a thing except a couple stray houses and 1 really small town. I popped one zombie with my svd near one of the downed helicopters and then braced for a horde of zombies to attack and the rest were just milling around like bored zombies. Ah well.

I hate to say try southcentral, but I would feel bad not mentioning that it seems some servers are screwed up. I was on southwest and I was cold and starving before the zombies even got started eating. I switched to southcentral and food, ammo, fun, rifle, ammo, backpack, food..food, gunfight. :-)

Put your weapon away manually and then go up ladders.

Sorry to hear that. Until things are fixed you need to manually put things in your hand and manually put then away. Autoswap is goofed and the weapon was actually on your back the whole time, just invisible. All you would have needed to do at that point was log off and back and you would be able to use it again.

Someone said a stick and 2 bandages. Something about making it burn longer with pristine bandages and also adding fuel to it. Haven't lived long enough to play with that lol. I'll try more starving tonight :-P~~~

Ok logged in about an hour ago, 1pp southwest. About a 5 miles to about 8 berry bushes and an oak tree about 200 feet past that. Ate about 6 berries and was starving and cold. Got two oak bark and some sticks and made a fireplace and made a hand drill and this is too dangerous of a place to make a fire. Ran back to the berry bushes and kept searching till I went unconscious from starving. Logged in near a big city, ran around looking for anything and there was nothing but a few zombies that I had to avoid by pathing around them and found a water pump and drank and fell unconscious from starving. That will do nicely for me for awhile. I'll try back later.

Is it just me or are the stable severs all high ping? Did a switch go out in California and screw up the fun? Bleh, nevermind, something jammed my router down to 4mps :-) Ok back to 15

I bounce back and forth from experimental to stable. Currently, both my 1pp and 3pp characters on stable are still there with all their gear. The software says .55 when I load into the game. There are zombies and lootsplosions. Right now on SJ 2-8 at the military base south of the NW Airfield, there is a military tent in the trees that I get the feeling has a mine at the door (too scared to try that tent) and the base is so lootsplosion that I'm thinking of calling it lootsplosionzilla. There are so many rifles in the barracks that I can't walk in without tripping. If your having problems finding a weapon etc, get in there and clean house cause it's a one stop shopping mart right now.

Really? I haven't played with them since I always find them when I am well geared and don't want the screen to go black. Someone said when they set a landmine in the dirt and bushes that it went underground? Can you still see the top of it in heavy foliage? Outside the wall of that military base is pretty thick ground cover, so I just decided to skip that tent. The barracks were all very full of gear though and I hope people having trouble finding gear heard that and slipped in there and had a nice Christmas. They can wait till they are alone on the server and not worry about getting jumped. Yes, I know lootsplosions are bad and they ruin the game and all, but sometimes it's nice to be able to get a bunch of stuff easy so you can test things. I remember once I did apples and water pumps and then broke cover and ran all the way to that base and found a splosion and dove in and swam around in the loot. Then went to a big town and played scarface.

Umm are you doing the double click w? Check key commands, w is jog and two hits on w is run fast. I use arrow keys so I had to manually set my arrow keys for double click up arrow. I actually don't know what w and shift is.

Hmm ok well got on this afternoon, everything is empty, headed inland and town after town are empty, found scraps, .22 rounds and a sporter, so I'm single shot 22. A few more hours of jogging through town after town after town. Logging off just now with nothing. Haven't seen a person or an animal yet. No zombies is lucky for me at this point.

Hmm the bottle of alcohol is used to clean rags. FYI. I was told people could use disinfectant on fruit, open cans of food, bottles of water to poison players, never tried it cause it seems counter productive to survival. I empty all the bottles and canteens I find and fill them from water pumps.

My experience with the Mosin is standing, lots of sway, kneeling some sway, prone not much sway and a bunch of weeds in the way. It's tough to find a place to prone with nothing blocking your view and your not exposed and there is something to shoot at. Once I was up on a hillside far from anything and I was range finder the distance to a street in a town and using the scope to see how the shot looked at a zombie creeping around a house. I was quiet as a mouse in the middle of no where and a zombie popped up behind me and started hammering me. This was before the new updated zombies. After using most of the other rifles with scopes, I find a mosin with LRS to be super accurate.

I just made it back to my tent after a week of hiking and yup, it's gone. Luckily before I left, I grabbed everything I couldn't live without. I really did like that sporter 22 with 2 30 rd mags..I was wondering how fun that would be if I could get the hunting scope on it. Using the Winchester 70 and the barrel really pops up when you fire it. I saw a military tent on my way back to camp, but I just can't find a place to hide that monster. Maybe on top of the tower at nw airfield :-D

LOL good questions. Yes Zeds are gone for now. Someone said they found a barrel next to a police car. I have no idea about the jerry can idea, that's a great idea.

I was just at NE Airfield at the small building at the NE corner with 2 wrecked cars outside, tons of pants. I think I was on southwest 0-2 1pp

Ya the damaged tents almost look like camo'd, if camo'd was rust. Tent looks like something I dug up in the yard.
