As far as I know the 10 round mag is for the pistol and only the 30 round mag ever worked for me on the sporter. 10 round would never attach if I recall. I never have the sporter very long, but if the hunting scope can attach to it, I might hold onto it!

Started on the east coast, running northwest. It killed me to jog past binoculars, leather repair kit and a few other nice items, because I couldn't carry them. Hunting scope and bottle or water won the toss. Mosin and 5rnd clip, never even seen the clip before. Walked over another mosin and a shotgun and a couple pistols with no where to put the pistols or a couple mags for them.grrr. Once I was far enough away to never go back, I found a 25 spot backpack. hehehe. Smooth, saw some autoswap drop an item and it's not available anymore glitch. Server went down so I'll do something else until I see it come back up.

I have seen no zombies today and all the players are being really nice to me! I haven't found anything great yet, except some sushi. Oh wait, I'm at work...never mind.

If your crashing upon entering I would try loading the stable and then loading back to experimental. I know that sounds silly. So tonight I was again a bambi, stone knife, apples,a truck came roaring down the coast highway and I could hear it from pretty far off (PRONE!!!) northwest into the wood and found a few items and then a burlap sack and a rope Yeah improvised backpack. Some FOOD!!! A little of this and a little of that, 8 rounds of .308 and a model 70 and binoculars ahhhhhh I'm starting to feel good. No crashing, but it was very laggy in a small town of 20 houses on a 45 ping server, bleh. Otherwise, smooth, no inventory issues and no crashing. Has anyone noticed that there is a sound played when someone comes onto a server? Sometimes I don't know if it is a sound outside the house or a sound in another room or someone in game close to me talking. I NEED SILENCE! I'M PLAYING DAYZ! A couple players were jabbering in game and jogged by and I was prone, looking through my gear to check damaged items, Voices!!! That freaked me out pretty good. I didn't know if I should offer them some spaghetti or turn them into spaghetti.

Well this thread is starting to confuse me :-D Your player carrying his gear across all public shards, your character on a private shard is only there and no other private or public shard. Now as for your tent, that is a different set of controls. Persistance is that particular shard only. For instance you log onto south central 0-2 and put down a tent, you better mark that down on a notepad because that tent is not anywhere else on any other public shard. Your player and what they are carrying is, but not what you put on the ground. For instance you can have a different tent on 5 different public servers in the same place in the game. One full of human meat, one full of deer meat, one full of and so on :-) Not sure what you are trying to get at about switching shards and getting at someones base.

There in most military bases, scattered all over the place in cities. I usually run into them by luck in cities. Ya, it was extra tough since I had nothing but a hoe and a stone knife. I haven't figured out how to make a bow and arrows yet. I might try if I find a chicken, after dinner...burp.

Well I was touch and go for quite awhile, barely hanging on as I found zero everywhere and headed inland. I found mostly nothing and ended up growing peppers to survive in between towns in the wilderness. I have a gas can emptied twice and then filled with water. Have to carry it in my hands. Found a couple cans of food in a car graveyard and checked 4 more towns heading northwest and finding completely barren towns. The only items I have seen on the ground are tire irons and glow sticks. All the log cabins with coat splosions are barren. I might have to loop left tomorrow night and go to prison island if this keeps up. All my gear is damaged, no repair kits. At least I got to read about players starting when servers were fresh and they got lots of nice toys.

Hehe I always think I am going to be shot at any second while at military bases, then I run all over and not a soul in sight with 25 people on, pretty soon I am checking every corner of the place for loot and at some point I come to my senses and get the heck out of there. The last SVD I found was in a town where I spawned way out east and it was on the steps of that building you normally can't enter with bars on the window and now you can enter it. It was hidden under a pile of junk and a blaze. I saw a weird piece of rifle sticking out of the mess and dumped a bunch of gear on the street so I could pick stuff up and move it to see what was underneath. :-O

You can still put 1 round in that baby and it's better then most guns with 1 shot.

The SVD should be around and that would be a nice weapon for those rounds. Sorry to hear your having problems, it might be that autoswap issue. I manually take the rifle out of my hands. I noticed the last time I had this problem was when I stepped over a fence and it autoswap put my rifle away for some unknown reason and then my rifle was a mess stuck and my hands were stuck empty.

Ahh. Well that is the thing about fixing stuff, ya break stuff fixing stuff sometimes. I remember a firefight with some well geared guy that opened fire on me from behind and missed cause I had just made a turn (sheer luck) he had a protective case inside a protective case inside and it went on and on like 9 deep lol. It was real easy to loot from the bottom, cause I could just put 4 things next to each other into it and then put it in that spot. I could only take 8 of them at the time and cried leaving one behind. Lately people have been saying that they put a rifle into their inventory and it vanished, but they found it later in a flare gun. hehehe. Looks like storage is a mess on whatever update this is.

Whenever that happens I try logging out and back and the stuff is usually there.

That sounds like the southwest server last week. I was Starving/Thirsty/Cold before the zombies had time to chew there food.

The idea is that the stone knife takes 1 spot and every saved spot means 1 extra spot for 40 .308 rounds :-D

Uh, I bent my pegs on hard dirt. You would need a cement drill and concrete fasteners to lock a tent down on cement. Suddenly I have the desire to find and gas up and use a chainsaw. :-D Anyone actually use a chainsaw lately?

Well sadly, lately I have been causing havoc because I am so under equipped. I found a ball cap and I am wearing a motorcycle helmet and don't need a ball cap, but I had to pick it up and move it so I could look under it and found 7.62 x 54 rounds, which of course is an awesome find. Now i pick up everything since so many things are hidden under other things, like the makarov magazine hidden under three pens, sillyness. Now that stuff I touched vanishes soon after I move it, unless it a certain type of item. Granted that I am taking the good stuff for myself when I find it but I have had to move a couple nice jackets and other things that bambi's would certainly want. I'm not sure how I can pass up the chance at stuff I need hiding under stuff bambi's need. :-( As for Tents, maybe they should make it 1 tent per person and if you setup a second the stuff in the first one pops up randomly in a tent in the middle of a random town. :-D

The clothes are like the previous post says on Prison Island, tons of them. I have only seen cargo pants at the big two building garages with several trucks and cars in the parking lot. Someone said you could spray fruit with the 409 cleaner and make people sick, I haven't picked up fruit since I saw that and then suddenly they were gone. I think that there are a lot of people who do not work and get on when the server is fresh and get 5 tents and load up tons of stuff while server hopping, By the time I get on after work it's been 15 hours and most places are barren. I'm lucky to have found a rifle and a mag and 1 canteen.

For starters, that is the same lake I tried to fish in and didn't get the fish message to click on and I waded in too far and lost my fishing pole. Also, does the cooked fish say "Cooked fish" or does it still say raw and you pulled it out after it changed color once?

Heh, well logged back into the same server and pop as soon as I stabilized into place, CTD. I logged back into a different server and no problem since then. It may have been the place I was standing had a glitch. Yesterday I saw a first aid kit on a table in a house and it was stuck there and the normal kit components that had a percentage all said 0%. Funny too since it's been ages since I have seen a kit. I relogged, jumped up and down, crawled, ate food in front of it, surrendered and even danced the unstuck dance and it was still stuck there and I had to walk away. Yes of course I shot it before I left and I only had 6 rounds but it made me feel better. I just found a tent up outside the house I usually get my tent at and I found it was very difficult to get the command to pack the tent to come up. Small movements for about 3 minutes before I found a spot where it would give it to me and I'm off into the woods with a tent. I haven't found an animal or another hook since I lost my fishing pole. My last can of peaches in my pack and even though I am all green across the board, things look grim. Snuggled up in my tent and ZzZzZZzzZzZzzzz,.....

I've been running around off and on all day without an issue and I saw a thermometer on the stove in a 2 room log cabin that usually has lots of coats the moment I touched it...CTD. My first CTD in awhile. It must have been one of those memory explosive thermometers.

Well that was a fast end to my fishing. Got the pole together and the worm on the hook, put them together and stepped up to the edge of a big lake, nothing. Stepped in the water, nothing. Walked out a little further, nothing. Scrolled my mouse wheel, left clicked, nothing. Stepped one more step and there was some drop off and I started swimming, pole, hook, bait gone. Ah well, never saw a message to cast my line or whatever...grrr.
