    ZOMBIE AGGRO RANGE IS TOO DAMN HIGH!

    1.7.0 was the golden ages, zombies worked perfectly fine till they started changing things up, I think they should go back to 1.7.0 again, when you were actually required to stealth. The day before 1.7.1 came, me and my friends played for atleast 6 hours non-stop, the day 1.7.1 hit, we quit within 5 minutes. They're zombies, they're infected which basically means that they are decaying, their limbs are slowly falling off, why should they be faster than humans that are in perfectly good condition? Yes, possibly to create challenge. Some people want "realism", some just want a wacky game. Also why would I use a hatchet? I can find like 5 rifles in one barn.
  3. To be honest, they need to nerf down the zombies to how they were in 1.7.0, me and all my friends who have been playing Day Z a lot all agree to this. They're infected, their limbs are rotting off, how are they able to run faster than humen? I know that this is a video game, I know that there are different people, some want it to be more realistic while some want it to be as far from real life as possible, but we feel gameplay wise that it was much more fun in 1.7.0. Zombies can detect you really easily, and if they see you and you have no weapons, you're fucked. Trying to lose them? Nope. Also regarding the spawning with no gun thing, we noticed that there are barns with like 4 guns and tons of ammo, is this to make up for not spawning with 1 shit pistol? I know I will get many replies saying "Don't whine", people who are trying to defend the game by using this argument are ultimately only destroying the game, we bought Arma 2 to play this mod solely, we have the right to give consumer feedback. Slow down the meele combat and other new mechanics, focus on the things that need to be nailed down correctly.
  4. I was crawling down a field with 3 of my friends when we get our eye on 2 survivors running, they seem friendly. Tell them to stand still and that we have 3 snipers looking at them. We let one of them go because taking on 2 of them at once is too risky. We approach the person and we say we're friendly, want to team up? He proceeds to give me blood and says he has to run off and meet a friend, we let him. As he gets about 50m away, we pump his body full of led.

    Build 1.7.1 Rolling Update

    I dislike the 1.7.1 update. I played 1.7.0 and I had a blast. What I think went wrong in 1.7.1 is: - Zombies are way too aware of players, they too easily spot you and alert the whole horde. - Spawning with no equipment only urges people to go to barns and such where there are tons of players, this makes the "Kill or be killed" element way more present and things just seem to be random now. I'd like it way more if we just went back to 1.7.0 and only built the mod out from there, and don't change the fundamental gameplay mechanics. Fix zombie AI, and award players for exploring the world and teaming up instead of randomly killing. Edit: Specifying on my second point, people go to barns to scavange equipment, and may come across others, causing random shooting encounters instead of working together, eat or don't eat. Also, the post over me brings up how frequent weapon spawns are, earlier I found 2 Winchesters and 1 Crossbow in the same building, also had tons of slugs but no ammo, guns seem easier to find than food. I'd rather make it so we start with a bad gun instead of finding a one shot gun in any random barn.

    1.7.1 in 20 words or less

    Zombies have eagle eyes, liked 1.7.0 much better, had a blast! Starting without food or guns gives me more reason to kill others for loot, bad.
